I received a text recommending the 24/7 truck share to check in due to covid. That was fine except I followed the instructions to share my location and it wouldn't work, the truck was not parked where the picture showed me (next to building A), drove around all of the storage units because there were trucks parked all over, it was parked and the end of building D, after following all the steps to get the key, the key was back at building A. For what was supposed to be a quick check in, took 29 minutes.

I reserved a unit online almost a week in advance. When I got to the storage they said they didn't have the size I reserved... I was offered 2 smaller units for more money... if there was anywhere else with units I wouldn't not use uhaul again.

It would be nice if someone returns the truck within 24 hours, that the fee be adjusted. We paid for the two days, though we got the truck returned within 24 hours of the rental date. We only booked two days in case it took longer because of the weather.

A question I always forget to ask when I returned the truck. My question is whether it is a normal quirk of the model pickup truck I was driving that when I was getting on the Maine Turnpike I-95 heading back north and I put my foot down to accelerate quickly to 70MPH to merge left into traffic (Maine entry lanes end just after getting on turnpike so one must get left into driving lane immediately) the truck acted like a stubborn dog by giving a sudden hesitant jerk, almost a split second pause, before then speeding up quickly!!! The pickup trucks' slight jerk/pause before increasing speed made me wonder if it's going to stall. That acceleration jerk getting onto the turnpike was after a long period of driving 25 or 35MPH in the city. I have noticed that happen before with previous rental of a pickup truck, but I always forget to ask if it is normal for those model trucks to do that. In the city it starts up at stop lights just fine. The pickup argues only with the quick acceleration to get to 70 getting on the turnpike!!! Once on the turnpike it's fine; if I have to slow down for work zones or whatever it gets back to faster speed without any problem. Is that normal for those model pickup trucks? Note: I am comparing its response to my older model Ford Focus that loved to speed up super quickly with the slightest pressure on the accelerator.

Truck was clean, but needs an alignment, and the passenger door was bent as if someone had to pry themselves in, thus preventing the door to shut completely. These two items were things that were not noticed upon pick up. Passenger airbag case was also broken.

Truck initially wasn't there because it wasn't returned in time by previous customer. The truck was relatively clean but smelled strongly of cigarette smoke both in the cab and in the back. The Auburn location was not the problem

Buyer beware - if you aren't able to find equipment in your neighborhood, carefully evaluate whether U-haul is being kind or making a dollar off of you. We paid more than double by accepting the extra days, extra miles, and pick up location we were given. "Pick up 17 miles away but you can return it to your neighborhood dealer since we don't have any trucks available." Don't fall for it. If you don't return it to where you picked it up it is considered a one-way move. The site we picked up from never disclosed this and even filled out paperwork to say we refused to return it to the same location. So instead of costing the daily rate ($ 29.95) + safemove ($14.00) it cost us $108. Both the scheduling representative AND the representative where we picked up assured us that we would be credited the difference once we returned the truck. Wrong! Not the way to treat your once loyal customers.

Unreasonable prices. {Paid $350 when rented the uhaul, brought back a couple hours late because we were stuck.. had roadside assistance pull us out... so since we were late... they charged us $250 more dollars which is outrageous... and when we first picked up the truck we told the guy 100 miles, he put down 30... so of course we went over.. he even told us that although it said 30 miles on the sli[p he gave us.... that wasn't accurate and to not worry, it is in the system as 100....and we only did about 73. I guess he lied or was mistaken. we also stood around in the office for about 15 minutes before we had to walk around to find someone. and when we got the keys to our truck we had to walk around and find the truck.

My local U-Haul experience was excellent. However, my U-Haul customer service experience was disappointing. The rep was wonderful, pleasant, knowledgeable, but ended up booking me labor for moving day with a company that no longer exists! It made moving day an extremely stressful experience. I do not think U-Haul should associate with a service that they cannot guarantee.

The truck wreaked of cigarette smoke. Also wish they had told me to do the online check in because the pictures on the inspection were not accurate on damage done before I got it but nothing was counted against me anyway. Hopefully next time I will remember to go over the vehicle BEFORE driving away with it.

I reserved a cargo van 8 days prior to needing it (rec'd confirmation) for my small business. When I called the day prior to pick up with questions, I was told there was no van available because the van wouldn't be returned in time for me to have it. None of the options given were acceptable to our schedule. I expressed disbelief that I could have confirmation and then denied the rental 18 hours prior to pick-up. Were they going to call me or just wait until we showed up to pick up the van? The state transportation manager called me to offer resolution, with extreme rudeness and when I asked his name, he hung up on me. Extremely poor customer service. If I ran my business that way, I'd be out of business quickly.

Well, from my own experience their should be someone at Uhaul to explain to the customer that the wiring from the vehicle to the trailer cannot run through the framing out the bumper because the wiring connections that are installed are wider then the holes provided in the vehicle, therefore the wiring is coiled up in the trunk inside the vehicle.
