Couldn’t get the large door to open automatically to wheel my items in. Had to gain access through a large bulky door and hold it open while I pushed the cart in. Really not convenient and made the move twice as hard. Additionally, there were three carts available and they were in use by one family. So, it took longer, again, to move than expected. Not a good experience, so far.

I ran into an issue with the truck and then later with billing, and the rep handled the issues like a pro and even made it right with a small, but meaningful, discount. Stuff happens, but I was very satisfied with how the staff handled it.

Check trailers for leaks. All my belongings got wet. The purpose of renting the enclosed trailer was to keep my stuff dry. Staff was courteous and got us in and out quickly.

Was told 3/4 of a tank and I got to the truck I had 5/8 tank. I told the one employee that had came out and he was its just a little under no big deal. I said really and he was hey to another employee and took off. They also placed my move at 188 miles when it was 12 miles from the pickup to move house. Then 191 to new house. Then 15 to drop off. I was 37 miles over and was going to becharged for it at $1 a mile. My drop off disputed it and got me taken care of.

My unit had a water leak in it and a few things were destroyed. I sent the manager photos, but I never heard anything. Other than that, it was a good experience

I missed the part in the confirmation email to expect up to 3 hours and he didn't realize I was waiting so there was a little frustration at the beginning from both of us. He was respectful and helpful through it all though. Thankfully they didn't have a lot of business this particular morning so he was able to finish in 1 hour. My only suggestions for improvement is to make it more evident to the staff that the appt is wait vs dropoff. And when the confirmation text is sent to the customer, use that dropoff/wait flag to determine what wording is used. I had also received a phone call confirming the reservation and they didn't mention the time frame either.

Get better help. I’m hard of hearing and when an employee asked me a question I politely said I couldn’t hear him. He yelled the question again, sarcastically. I, also, noticed the mileage had been padded. The young lady with enough shrapnel jewelry in her face to scare any child didn’t understand my eyes don’t lie and wanted pictures to prove my claim. I was humiliated and embarrassed. I won’t be back.

This location is very restrictive. First, the size reserved was unavailable upon arrival. Second, the person helping us was very accommodating, but could not provide us with a unit to put our belongings in. The elevator is way to small for people to use with sofas and larger objects. This should be made aware when checking into location by staff.

Oh my gosh~~~~ Victoria went above and beyond expectations! Seriously I had a rental car and had now to rent a truck she was preparing to leave work and heard of my dilemma and offered to drive to airport so I could drop off car and take truck as it was only me. She IS such an incredible team member of U-Haul. She even extended her kind help as my bins were taken from the trucking company I ordered and they left the furniture. I was in shock and distraught Victoria helped me with the police and my banking where my money was taken. She made certain I was in a safe placed hotel. Suggesting I had not processes this stuff yet to sleep on it and drive during the day light. I am so glad I did as I had forgotten my luggage at the front desk of hotel lobby~ it was only when I went to change into my pajamas the I realized I had left my luggage down at front desk. Victoria also lent me a phone charger as I had forgot to bring one with me. Victoria is a kind, considerate, outstanding human being to have taken on such a huge selfless act of dedication to human kindness ~ humanity! Thank you Victoria!! I was in such a place to where help was needed so badly. I can not even begin to know how to express my gratitude !! Just know I’m doused in gratitude! Much love to this beautiful soul!! Thank you, thank you!!!!🫶🫶🫶🪄✨😊

The app did not work at all. I had chosen the mobile option and tried several time to start the rental and ended up having to go to the staff inside and redo all of it again. Tried to return the truck and same thing, staff had to come and do the return for me. Staff were helpful, though I had to go all the way to the back of the property to get my truck, would have liked the truck to have been up front for me. Quarter tank of gas...seriously?

I was assigned a truck with an unacceptable tire sidewall gash. Several hours later had a different truck from a separate location whose windshield washer didn't work. The return location said this should have also disqualified this truck. I drove it 2000 miles through alot of mountains and it was very not ideal.

The U Haul app is not always reliable. If the app is being pushed and customers are being penalized for not using electronic means (app) to return equipment, the app should be optimized so that is is working at its best.

Ms. Lillie checked me in for my uhaul truck rental and she was superb! She was friendly and professional, a great balance! She was informative and helpful which made the truck rental process seamless! I have used this location multiple times, and I have yet to receive poor service. They have created in me a RAVING FAN! There were two other folks with her, that did not assist me personally, but greeted me, and were just as friendly and welcoming as Lillie. In closing, let me add, that my arrival time was near closing, and still they gave me supreme customer service, answering thoroughly all of my questions, and never rushing me. Respectfully,

I do not want to rate this location negatively - they were great but as far as UHaul in general - NOT POOR- TERRIBLE. I lost an hour of a very busy moving day due to your online check in .I was forced to pick the truck up at a different location because I was unable to pick up the truck via the online check in. We had people waiting at my home to help with the move. They had to wait because of YOU.I would have gladly have input my drivers license before but your system wouldn't allow me to until I was at the pickup location. This is fact. I did not download the app nor should I have to. I was on the web version. Each of the 17 times that I attempted to upload my pictures the page would send me back to the beginning. It was TERRIBLE. I will never use UHaul again. Also - The truck was supposed to have been discounted to $29.99. Add 50 miles. I wouldn't have had to drive 50 miles but since I had to go out of my way to a different location from where I had reserved the truck from that added roughly 15 miles onto the truck. Add 30 for gas because it was so late in the day that I simply did not have time to get gas. If I would have had the hour (and a half if you add the time that it took me to drive to another Uhaul location and get another truck) I would have been able to put the 1/4 tank of gas in. I ended up paying $153. I'm doing the math here and it simply doesn't make sense. Your service is awful. The only saving grace was the woman at the Prairie View location who was able to empathize with me and make me feel better. UHAUL SUCKS is my new mantra. My son is moving next month. We will be using another truck rental company.

I will use this location again bc it is convenient. However, I was given the truck on empty and told it was 1/8. I took a picture and I had to go straight to the gas station because I was worried I would run out of gas. I had to put $20 in it to even get it close to 1/4. I did get a $9 fuel discount. The signage is confusing for pickup vs returning. I said no to the equipment being clean and well-maintained, it was clean, but the gas situation. made me say no. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, I was absolutely frustrated with the gas situation and felt blown off when I asked and was told we don’t keep gas in the truck.Smh

The customer service at this location was awful. It took an hour to pick up the truck. They blamed it on the slow computer system. But managed to check out five other people while they were working on mine. They kept going back-and-forth between customers instead of just finishing with the custom they were helping. And then the license tag didn’t match but they had sent me. And instead of taking care of it. They went outside and started cleaning a U-Haul that was in the parking lot. And told me that I would have to wait because there were only two of them there.

I have rented from U-Haul probably close to 100 times in my life. Of all the locations I have used, over the entire US, I have to say that the personnel attitudes and demeanor and attention to customers is the worst I have ever seen. I rented a utility van today, and equipment was fine, no complaints there. My complaints are all with the staff at this location. 1st -upon arrival, the person that came to the front desk, barely looked my direction, mumbled, and then proceeded to help me. During the entire transaction with me, she was on a personal phone call. She completed my rental just fine, but I felt like I was a bother to be there. Upon checking in in the evening (it was only a 4 hour rental), the person that checked me in and the person next to him were on the their personal cell phones. I'm not sure what one was doing, but the one that helped me directly was having a personal phone call, on speaker phone, with his family or something. The noise in the background on his personal phone was so loud, I couldn't hear him discuss my final bill. When I asked him why he was on the call, he said it was a very important call. I understand needing to make or take personal calls during work, but again, I seemed to be a nuisance, rather than a valued customer. Even though the location in Liberty is further from my house, I will be renting from there in the future, every time I have rented there, I am greeted with a smile, I feel glad I rented there, and the employees act happy to be working. This NW Prairie View location makes you feel like they would rather you weren't there.

We picked up truck from KC while coming from Colorado. Final destination was Ashland, but had to drive truck to Cole Camp to load belongings. We were charged an extra $67.19 for mileage the next day. The truck charge was already $300 for one-way trip including an extra $30 for insurance. The extra mileage charge was ridiculous. I will be using Penske or Budget next time.

Just moved in but I’m impressed with the facilities. Grateful for the courtesy carts! Only thing I’d change is more time for the elevator doors. There are 3 and you don’t know which one is going to open. If your cart is in the wrong position, the door closes before you can stop it. Frustrating!!

Would not recommend this location at all to anyone. Unprofessional and rude staff. Process of returning the truck was confusing and tedious. Being charged anything before actually using the truck is just so stupid. Other locations don’t charge until you’ve returned the truck due to the fact that exact mileage used isn’t known until truck is returned. Would highly recommend the U-Haul location on 72nd st in Gladstone and tell everyone to stay away from this location. Great experience at the other U-Haul location. Tiffany Springs location needs a severe attitude adjustment and lacking basic customer service skills. Whoever is running this location shouldn’t be. They need to find a new job

My reservation for storage was lost in facilities computer system. I showed them my reservation number and they still could not find. A unit large enough to handle my storage in a heated location was not available. I had to take a larger unit than required in a non- heated location so I could unload my possessions and return U-Haul truck. I had to sort through and remove my liquid items that would freeze and make other arrangements for storing these items. I am seeking relief from you for this terrible treatment with this facility. Please call and discuss this issue with me, as I am very upset at your lack of performance!

For some reason this morning because of the snowing last night, the window and the mirrors on the truck were covered. I started the truck and when I got out of the vehicle the door shut but locked automatically. I didn’t understand it but I called and they came to help me they were there and a half an hour. It was a lot of money to did I have to pay for it. I wasn’t ready for that that was. The first time that the door locked automatically and I didn’t understand it but you were there to help and I think you with all my heart.

This was a remodel of a old hotel. They have been a storage facility for quite a long time in that location. And the elevator has never worked. That is the reason I moved my stuff out.

The elevator was out of order the day I moved in and was still out of order the day I moved out marking it very inconvenient having to haul items back and forth on the stairs and the the very last step on the bottom stairs to the exit was missing and I almost twisted my foot cause I stepped down hard thinking it was a step there and the stairwell is not lit very well.

They need to fix elevators the only thing that sucked carrying the stuff up a flight of stairs when is much is horrible but staff was super friendly

The office staff was rude and acted as if they were doing me a favor even though I was the customer. They did not go above and beyond to ensure that my experience was 5-star. They were not willing to assist me with clearing out the remaining of my Mom's items left in storage just to incur fees before closing the account when I clearly advised them of the situation.

I can not remember the name of the sweet girl who assisted me, but she had very short, buzzed hair and she was so kind. She helped me with all of my needs and made sure I was well taken care of. She made a difference in my day and I hope you tell her how wonderful she is.

Communication was horrible until things got in the last-minute and the manager at the Tiffany Springs location absolutely disrespectful and belittling. The staff outside of him were professional though. I honestly hate that I chose that location and uhaul all together for my storage. I may not have ended my terms with them in the best manor but honestly after the process I had with them followed with the grand finally unprofessional conversation (or lack of) that I had with the manager, I was sadly just over it in total. I will say that the facility as far as the units were clean and again the staff were professional once you did get them on the phone but thinking of the manager and his conduct frustrates me till this moment.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The facility itself needs improvement, starting with elevators. It was explained prior to reserving that the elevators were being renovated. I decided to continue because the apartment I was living out off was literally across the street from the facility. Convenience kept my business. Transporting into storage was twice as hard without elevators.

The only thing was when asked if they had a bigger unit, they did on the 2nd floor. I asked if they had an elevator to use, no not at this time it wasn’t for use for the customers at this time. We would have to bring our items up the steps. But the General Manager was very helpful even though he was very busy.

The only hiccup I had was when I went to return the truck and unpack into storage, there was construction blocking the particular storage unit. Therefore, we weren't able to unpack that day. However, the staff accommodated time for me to unpack the next day while construction was still occurring. The staff was very nice, and accommodating.

Rented a 5x5x9 however there is a huge pylon in the middle of the unit so it is not what it is advertised as. It is much smaller cause the pylon is taking up a 1/4 of the space
