Four plus years as a customer. Ever really had an issue until I went to empty my storage shed. I went to open my storage shed and my key wouldn't work. I assumed I had lost it and checked in with the employees. They said I had left a key. All great went to un lock again and key breaks in lock. Well I decide to get a locksmith. Get the shed open and found the locking mechanism and my old lock in the storage shed. The one my key actually works on. Go to complain and check out and come to find out my shed had been "broken into" they had a police case number but no one contacted me. Would have been nice to know. They had my old number listed despite documentation showing I had called and updated my number. The alternate number that is still correct... well apparently they don't call that number. Only one item in my storage shed was broken, ultimately didn't care about that. But because of the Kay they gave me not working I had to call out a locksmith. All I wanted was that fee refunded. Originally told me they couldn't do it, and well maybe partial. Then not until we said we were going to contact the police the report was filed with did they agree to cover the locksmith cost. Yes the fee was refunded. Overall the employees were pleasant aside from not wearing face masks. The manager was very unpleasant and needs to improve his people skills. Overall not happy and won't recommend. Plenty of storage options and places to get a uhaul if need be. Oh and the shed was broken into 5 months before I opened it... and no contact from anyone.bryan m. | Overall Experience

At pickup the employee should inspect the vehicle with the customer. He hooked up the trailer and started to walk away. I made him show me how to open the door and then he left. Later I got an email asking me to confirm everything was in good condition and we had not checked that.LORI S.

The additional dolly I requested online was not available, and instead of offering a different dolly or an apology, I was told I should purchase one instead. I rented a trailer yesterday at 0711 for 24 hrs, this morning we woke to several inches of snow and ice. So we got it back at 0827 I was charged for another 24 hours. I rented 1 bag of furniture blankets for 5.00 and NEVER opened them, today I was charged 10.00 on there return! I have the rental receipt from yesterday with 45.61 as my total..and received my receipt from today for total charges of 91.23 , charging me 2 days and 10. for the blankets. Had I received this while I was there I'd have disputed it with them, however due to the snow they where outside and busy so checked it in when they got to it and sent me my receipt. I have great respect for uhaul and have used yall MANY times, never have I ever encountered such a bogus practice as I did with this rental. I will NOT return to this location again! I will drive out of my way to go elsewhere. If I rent from uhaul again at all. I'd appreciate this issue resolved by abiding by the original contract I signed yesterday! If not , I will make sure all my family and friends are aware of the practice of over billing!MONICA P.
The door on Unit 0157 took two people to operate. I did complain about this but no action was taken. That being said the staff was always friendly and helpful. There was one time I left the door open and the staff closed it and locked it for me. I appreciated that very much. My lovely bride of 40 years have used Uhaul for these 40 years. Always satisfied. Workers were awesome! However, your mobile app was terrible! You need to alert renters that you'll contact your emergency contacts prior to rental. My contacts were not going to answer a strange and early morning call. I had to go inside and compelete a new rental. This caused me to be late for my family helping me move. When I asked where they were located the person gave the address and I asked what they were near. He didn't know. I asked if this was the one by Target, he did not know. The front counter looks right at Target. When I went to check out the truck I got scolded for not having a smart phone and informed unless I get one he would not be able to rent me another truck ever. Then he said that it is just like Walmart and needing to use the self service check out lanes, everyone is doing it to save labor. I said the big difference between Walmart and what he was asking me to do is that Walmart provides all the equipment to checkout, he was asking me to provide my own equipment. He replied it is the same, everyone has a smart phone. It is not the same thing is it true that I will need to provide a smart phone to rent from you?PAUL JAMES C.

U Haul recommends a vehicle and hitch inspection prior to trailer pick up however it is IMPOSSIBLE to call this location-you just get connected to corporate headquarters. The only way to get in touch with this location is to physically drive there to ask your questions which is a bunch of bull. While the staff and equipment at the site were top notch the actual construction of the storage buildings caused issued for unloading the truck. First of all the spacing between the buildings was such that backint the truck up directly in front of the storage locker was simply not possible. This in itself would have not been an issue except that the lane between the two storage buildings was sloped to such an extent that having the truck simply parked parallel to the building meant it was impossible to have both corners of the lower end of the truck's loading ramp touching the ground at the same time. As a result the ramp was constantly rocking and twisting every time we rolled the dolly down the ramp. This made several of the loads of boxes lean sidewise to the point where they fell off the dolly and spilled off the ramp. This caused unloading at this site to be significantly more work and resulted in considerable more broken items than would have happened if we had been unloading onto an approximately flat driving lane. Thus I would recommend this site to a friend who is seeking to rent a truck or trailer but I would most definitely discourage anyone I know from using a storage locker at this site.Brian J. | First Impressions
