Prices were only higher on Saturday for the mileage at $1.09 and every other day was $0.89. Which is a lot cheaper when driving 550 miles. Very unfortunate since Saturday was only day I could pick up the vehicle, and offer no military or student discounts. Very steep considering the experience.JAYSON G.

Staff at location were excellent... I tried to use the mobile check in-- but the first two vehicles assigned were not at the location (or not accessible). When I found a vehicle that was available, I waited nearly 10 minutes for the virtual agent to check me in, but they did not respond to any chat messages. Ultimately, I went into the location, and had to redo the check-in process, but again, staff were excellent. Once in the van, it was fairly dirty-- spilled/dried liquids in cup holders, trash in the back, etc. but it drove okay. One of the turn signals was burnt out (or burning out). Again, on check-in, staff were awesome, but this was a less than stellar experience. ThanksDANIEL S.

Demonstrate ramp extraction and re-insertion. The only (very small) issues we had were: A) when the ramp is extended, you can lift it and insert the steel tabs into the slots so there is no bump going from the truck bed to the ramp, and B) when we retracted the ramp, it didn't go all the way in and we couldn't latch the hatch. It took a minute to figure out it wasn't all the way in.John H.

The truck was the best part of the experience, very comfortable. However, the Customer Service was awful. The woman who checked me out in Springfield, MA could not tell me which location in Manhatten was the closest to my son's apartment. She brought up a map which had 3 locations and I said "You cannot tell me which is the closest?" She said no. She said you can just call this number (on the paperwork) when you get there and they can tell you. I said I don't want to be on hold forever so just choose whichever one looks the closest. She said she could not go back to the screen where you choose the location. At that point I just wanted to get out of there, so I said well I hope I am not on hold. Take a wild guess. More awful customer service. Not only was I on hold for over 15 minutes, when someone finally answered they put me on hold AGAIN and then the call was disconnected...twice. My mover was nice enough to give me the address of a Uhaul which was literally a half mile away. When I dropped it off they were going to charge me $17 because apparently the Springfield woman had chosen Newburg, NY. When I explained what happened they did remove the fee. Definitely need to improve the Customer Service, it is why people go back....or do not.Theresa L.

I had a problem with the truck steering and no longer felt safe driving it, as documented by my conversations with Roadside Assistance, hence my returning it to this location and not where it was rented. The employee who â€œhelpedâ€ me refused to listen to the issues as I explained them to her, nor did she offer to try to resolve them. I rented this truck on behalf of my employer, Performance Food Group. Not only I will never again rent another piece of equipment from UHaul, but I will make sure that no one from my company (300 of which work in Springfield, alone) rent from Uhaul either. The only issue I had during the reservation phase was the fine line print of a representative will call to verify. I wanted to pick up and drop off at a certain location due to where I live. The rep called me and told me that the location I chose did not have the equipment and that driving further from my home was the only option. She seemed irritated, rightfully so because I was irritated with this new knowledge.In today's technology, couldn't this be an easy fix and alow customers to choose the equipment they need at the location they want?Robert V.

I didn't have any trouble with the storage facility part of my contract. My issue is with the truck that I rented out on Saturday to move out my belongings. The truck was dragging to shift from 2-3 &3-4 gear and before I would put my foot on the brakes, the truck would jerk. Then the keys was stuck in the ignition. I believe I should be compensated money wise for the headache I went through with this truck. I don't know how it passed inspection. Since 1073 I have been a customer of u-haul loyaly.
