Latch on door is very hard to closed slowed down moving and door came open and we lost the load. Told customer service and uhaul no one addressed the problem or offered another truck or discount for problem . Next rental I will have the person open and closed door and not use uhaul.RAMONA H.

Only one issue, I had a rental from 9-1 in which totals 4hrs, I didn't get the truck until 930 because the store was too busy even tho we arrived at 855am. We retuned the truck at 1230pm and yet still got charged for the 4 hrs. Either you have more staff in customer service or you charge from the moment you receive the truck and return back.Roberto M.

We rented a 9 foot van everything was great except the van smells like smoke. No fault of your own someone does not respect the rules.Dennis M.
The truck that I was given had duct tape holding the windshield on which I found out as I was driving on the highway when the entire driver's side windshield rubber molding/gasket started coming off and hitting the window. That is an absolute safety hazard! In addition, the mileage was off by 60 miles when I picked up the truck!!JEFFREY R.

Vehicle was very under maintained. Whole truck shook between 40mph through 60mph which has created a constant squeaking under the dash louder than the A/C and radio playing at the same time. Engine idle was non existent, it was so rough it seemed like the engine was going to stall out at every red light or while stuck in traffic with or without the A/C on. Side note though the A/C was arctic cold which was great.MACKENZIE S.

There's a sign that tells us to wait in our vehicle during business hours. After 5 minutes, I finally went inside to check out; that's when someone came out. There was also some type of tube/cable that crossed the area where we had to return the truck. I just thought that was careless; if I wasn't paying attention, I could've easily driven over it.MAMIE D.

Not an issue Uhaul can control - However, there was a lack of cell data at the location that prevented my being able to process the return via the phone app. After 45 minutes on hold (after hours), I was able to get assistance with the return process. The rental truck was in fair condition with trash in the back from the previous renter. The service center was fine. What was not fine was that the movers I contracted through the haul web site never showed up. I gave them my destination, and they confirmed by text. They did not show, did not contact me, and were unable to be reached at the number they texted from. I understand that these are third party contractors, but the fact that they never came reflects extremely poorly on UHaul itself.Alison M.

They took the panel off the bottom of my car and did not replace it. The very instructions and video U-Haul produced shows how to put the panel back on after making modifications to it. I was told that it could not be done when I mentioned their own video the story changed to we do not have the tools. The tool is a utility knife. I was introduced to Juan and was told he was a Hitch Expert well he could not figure out how to do the job correctly even though U-Haul has a detailed PDF with instructions. Glad I looked under the car because it took so long something seemed wrong. I made him give me the panel he left in the garage and put it on myself at home after paying for a full install. BEWARE of Springfield U-haul or perhaps they are all like this?Robert L.

The staff that I worked with was very rude, inexperienced and inconsiderate. She sneakily charged me for gas that I didn't use, despite me explaining to her that the gas tank reading was off. When I later found out and confronted her, she was very rude and unprofessional and also unapologetic. I was charged extra for gas I didn't use. Won't use uhaul again!FREDERICK A.

I pulled up and waited at the "wait here" location for about 10 minutes while others pulled up and were helped. Finally I went inside to get help and someone did help me then. I was hit with an additional $60 charge that was allegedly supposed to have been explained to me because I had booked the truck for an additional day.Shane L.

The van had a claim on it and I wasn't notified of this. The van had a half tank of gas when I was told it was full. The drivers seat was damp. The low tire pressure light was on. If this was the first time I ever rented from Uhaul, I wouldn't be back.TINA S.

Prices were only higher on Saturday for the mileage at $1.09 and every other day was $0.89. Which is a lot cheaper when driving 550 miles. Very unfortunate since Saturday was only day I could pick up the vehicle, and offer no military or student discounts. Very steep considering the experience.JAYSON G.

Staff at location were excellent... I tried to use the mobile check in-- but the first two vehicles assigned were not at the location (or not accessible). When I found a vehicle that was available, I waited nearly 10 minutes for the virtual agent to check me in, but they did not respond to any chat messages. Ultimately, I went into the location, and had to redo the check-in process, but again, staff were excellent. Once in the van, it was fairly dirty-- spilled/dried liquids in cup holders, trash in the back, etc. but it drove okay. One of the turn signals was burnt out (or burning out). Again, on check-in, staff were awesome, but this was a less than stellar experience. ThanksDANIEL S.

Demonstrate ramp extraction and re-insertion. The only (very small) issues we had were: A) when the ramp is extended, you can lift it and insert the steel tabs into the slots so there is no bump going from the truck bed to the ramp, and B) when we retracted the ramp, it didn't go all the way in and we couldn't latch the hatch. It took a minute to figure out it wasn't all the way in.John H.

I didn't have any trouble with the storage facility part of my contract. My issue is with the truck that I rented out on Saturday to move out my belongings. The truck was dragging to shift from 2-3 &3-4 gear and before I would put my foot on the brakes, the truck would jerk. Then the keys was stuck in the ignition. I believe I should be compensated money wise for the headache I went through with this truck. I don't know how it passed inspection. Since 1073 I have been a customer of u-haul loyaly. AWFUL! Was issued a 210$ credit instead of the refund I was supposed to receive after renting a truck and “free month of storage with truck rental” was apparently bs. Had to pay for my storage unit and was told I was going to be issued a refund and instead a credit that I DONT want to use because I will NEVER be using uhaul again.
