The customer service was EXCELLENT when I reserved/ordered the U-Haul in Spring Valley, California. She didn't just answer my questions, but she also provided extra information I wasn't aware I needed which helped put me at ease for this trip. 10 out of 10! The drop off was flawless as well. The self check in did not work very well both on pickup and drop off. On pickup I couldn't get past the confirming any damage page, all were accepted but wouldn't let me continue. On the return I took 4 odometer pics and they still weren't recognized. Had to get an employee both time, which pretty much h defeats the purpose of self check in. at the r beginning the lady told me that I have to drop the tow dolley to different location and truck just there. after that she saw parked outside trying to reach customer service. at the she let me drop both items as I have been told before renting itIsaac V.

I truly appreciate being able to store everything at Uhaul. Initially it was only supposed to be a few months, but we couldn't find a place, the pandemic hit and then we were living in a hotel. Knowing that my stuff was safe in storage really gave me peace of mind during a really difficult time. I ordered a 15' truck 2 weeks in advance, then I get a call on the day I reserved saying the truck was unavailable.ANDREW B.
The woman checking in was rude and condescending. When I explained to her I didn't knowingly choose online check in she stated I was wrong and that I didn't know what I was taking about even though I've used uhaul before. After having issues with online check in she mocked me for taking a blurry photo of my license and then (my opinion) purposefully entered my name incorrectly because she was retaliating when I told her I was upset and in a rush and just wanted to get checked in to go. I have used uhaul before but maybe my account didn't link up to previous times and she was claiming I haven't been a customer before so I wouldn't even know how the check in process should work. I've never dealt with such a condescending and standoffish person at a uhaul before. She also smirked and smiled a lot as if to goad me.addmas S.

I disliked your mobile phone pickup option. I was frozen for over 20 minutes waiting for the online assistant to verify me. Thankfully the reps onsite were both super helpful and stepped in to help me get my rental after they finished assisting other clients. There was another client in the office having a similar issue with the mobile check-in. You can improve the mobile pickup option by giving me advanced notice of what information you will need and what i should expect. I dont know what the process would have been with mobile since the bot "Sandra" told me she was working on it then never returned to the chat but there were multiple steps working with the onsite reps including giving multiple contact phones that needed to be called/verified so knowing what is needed in advance and that its more than just clicking a button to say ive arrived would have made the mobile option more useful. It took me 36 minutes to get the vehicle from the time i arrived and that is only because the onsite team stepped in. You may contact me with further questionsJessica H.

All staff are fast to help& great communication. The facility is spacious. It easily fits 2 Uhaul 10x10 trucks to pass by each other in the lanes to get around. If unit is 2nd floor the staff quickly brings a forklift to bring down the storage lift crate for you to load @ ground level. Fill it up as many times as you need & they bring it up& down. It took me three tries to get someone to answer on a second phone number. I could have been better prepared, pre-registered or whatever. .89 per mile would cost a fortune for a long trip. Do you have some other options? There was a subtle body indent in the rear where a previous renter had allowed one of the rear doors to open beyond its intended range of motion; it was left to me to find this, but it would be better if it were mentioned to me in advance. When telling the agent my email, he wrote â€œdâ€ instead of â€œbâ€. Later when calling to correct this there was no way to correct it?? It is a PITA to match the original gas tank level, e.g., 7/16; would be great if it told me how many gallons, Or I could just fill it up and report the difference and then have an adjustment to bill at a non larcenous rate.WILLARDFRANCIS B.

The on-site staff are always amazing. But the ongoing telephone technical issues of calls not going through or getting rerouted to trailer hitch department with no person to even talk to have been a HUGE headache. From the onset, this was a polished, polite, and professional crew. I was impressed by how deftly they managed to maximize social distancing and therefore maximize customer safety. They even wiped down the truck cab, before handing me the keys! The return process went just as smoothly. All-in-all, this was a completely 5-star experience!Michael B.

I rented the 26 foot truck with a $50 reservation guarantee online and they did not have it and gave me the 20 foot truck. Instead of giving me $50 off, they gave me $10. That's either the uhaul location not following through or false advertising. Also I only drove the truck around 26 miles yet I had to put 13.5 gallons of fuel to get the fuel gauge at the same mark at when I rented it. Something must be wrong with the gauge because I doubt the truck gets 2 miles per gallon. I'm totally unhappy with this rental and would like some refund that I feel is due. It took almost and hour to checkin because there was one worker and 7 people waiting. I was never told I needed a lock for and the back of the truck and had to find one at 6:00pm at night.....very very upsetting and frustrating. I want to speak to the manager for a partial refund.Tyneisha E.
