Everything from the pick up location, onsite storage and drop-off location was all mixed up and was truly a disaster! I’m still very angry and frustrated! Just glad the experience is over!

When I picked up they had listed the truck as full. I failed to notice before I drove off that it was only half full. I told associate on return. She assured me that she would fix it. I drove 28.6 miles. I put 4 gallons of gas in about $7. They charged me $28.70 for ez fuel. I had the truck less than 2 hours.

Maybe, you could give the excellent employee, who runs the entire busy office by herself, some help. Your employee does an incredible job to keep up with the demands of that location without appropriate assistance. Seems like the only issue you have is a complete lack of scruples and intelligence in upper management. Alas, that is a virus that has plagued humankind since the virtual dawn of capitalism. Do better in upper management.

Horrible experience each time I go ther; only one person working, equipment blocking the entrance drive that is being returned and waiting to be checked in, people standing around waiting for LONG periods of time, always the same. Disgraceful operation.

I approach the rude uhaul associate lady to mention I have tooken a picture the uhaul is not on half. Stated don't worry it won't go on half. Brought it back hours before closing. Stated I would have to pay 12 dollars towards fuel since it not directly on half. Gave me a rate of 4 dollars and change. The contract says 3.75 per gallon. I tried to call corporate due to the lies and false information she provided. I will never go back to this asking for lighter, cigarettes smoker. I took pictures and will call corporate again.

Our experience today was not good, I don't like to complain because I love give good ratings but unfortunately today I cannot. First of all I reserved a 26' truck a day prior, was told to be there at 11 and my finance and I arrived in time. The staff member told us they didn't have that available but did another close to the location. He was prepared to give us $50 and tell us that he couldn't help us, until my finance pointed out a 20' truck that was available and we took that with no change in price because we HAD to move today. He was polite and finally though. So we took it. Upon returning the vehicle the staff member argued with me that I had to out 3 gallons more gas in because your company would charge me $19.88 if I didn't, and it was where it was when I picked it up. I went back to the gas station to make it right because I had spent enough time and energy at U-haul for the day as is. Thank you though, the truck performed great.

When I told the drop-off U-Haul employee about my horrendous experience, he said there was nothing he could do. At least he offered an apology, but U-Haul is too expensive to be so unprofessional.

The first truck had pads and hand truck. We didn't need, so they swapped out for another. Got a block from the store and the Check Engine light came on. Had to go back for a 3rd truck. All went well until check-in. This location has been my "go to" for years, but over ther last year or so of renting, the employee situation had DRASTICALLY changed. The staff is courteous but at all hours (not just peak time) they are always understaffed, with the person on the counter making comments about the "other person is running late, or unaccounted for." It has become a wait time of 30-60 minutes to get waited on. I have tried self check in many times, only to have to stand in line to get the key. This past Thursday, I stopped by to get a temporary storage unit. In two different emails, I received offers for one-month free. Thank you. They required a "disc" lock but had none in stock. When I went back on Saturday to start loading the unit and bring the purchased lock, there was a uhaul lock and flag on the unit. I went back inside and waited, again, for someone to look for a key, they never found it, so their lock is still on it, and the person left me waiting at the unit, not returning to tell me he couldn't find the key, when I went BACK in, he was waiting on a long line of customers, but kept walking to the manager's office to get questions answered. We never saw the manager. Today in my email, surprise, there is a "late notice" that my rent is past due.

They didn’t have any of the equipment at all. And they charged me a payment of 150 and I was told that if I didn’t use all the miles that I was charged for, I would get the money back. Well, the next day they charged for for the real amount (120$) and I didn’t get the rest of my money back. In total I was charged 270$ and the U-Haul was only 120$ and someone WILL be hearing about this

I have not a damn thing to say bout U-Haul that is nice at this time. I dropped the equipment off in Spartanburg SC as I told them is where I was going. I paid 95.00 and today I get an email telling me I was charged an extra day at 22.00. I called them and was told I would be reimbursed. Well all I got was an email saying I had a zero balance and not one damn word of the reimbursement well I will be calling again in morning and it will not be a pleadent conversation. Count on that

The picture for the drop box location is not the same color and does not match what the actually drop box, the drop box is a actual slot int he door and this was very confusing for someone that was completely wiped out with his move and spent 20 minutes looking for something in the picture that did not exist.

This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with any moving company ever. The gas tank was not full so I ended up filling it up and when asked why it was not full they proceeded to tell me to call the manager whom does not have any voicemail for me to leave a message and will not answer the phone. It took me an hour to get my truck and they did not deduct that time from the amount of time I bought the truck for so really I paid for an hour to have the truck while standing in line and getting yelled at by the woman working there who has absolutely zero people skills. There is so much more I could write but I will be making a call to the corporate office because the way I was treated is absolutely unacceptable.

Over 25 minutes in hold they never get back to me , All I was going to ask if any truck its available, And I arrived location , I ask them I need local truck for few hours, She said no any truck available, and she ask me if I can return it today she has 20 ft truck, Lol I just said I need local truck for few hours, And busy day 1 person. I guess need more than 1 person Specially its Friday everyone trying to get truck for weekend, .

Quit dollaring people to death ! dollars for this dollars for that. rented truck for 29.95 turned truck in after used for 14 miles. 59.95. not happy! people were friendly!

Associates was nice but over whemed with so many customers and only one associates working inside and one in shop system was operating slow when rented the trailer thank goodness I had reserved it and when returned only 2 associates with big line of returning trucks had to drop the trailer with no one to check it in

The truck was given to me with mud in the floorboard of the driver and passenger side of the truck. The employees told me “Sorry, just tell the place you drop it off that you got it that way and if they have any questions to have them call“. I reserved a furniture dolly and they “could not find it” so I had to use the box dolly. When I dropped the truck off, I tried calling the spartanburg location and i was on hold for 30+ minutes, called on a separate phone while on call and somebody answered. So they put me on hold and forgot. A terrible experience and now they said I may still be charged for the dirty truck.

I do not like the process where I must open a text and make a photo of my drivers license. My phone wouldn't open the text and it became a big production that shouldn't be my problem. I should be able to give you my license and you take care of the rest.

They now require a photo of the front and back of your drivers license but do not have the photograph equipment to do it. I have never seen a company operate at this level of stupidity in my life. Not the local people, uhaul.

First off I was given a truck that jerked the entire time I drove. It was on the repair list but still rented out. Then I went 18 miles in the car put over 2 gallons of gas back into the truck and no more would fit. When I went back to return the Uhaul I was charged an additional 7 and something for a gallon and half of gas. There is no way I went 18 miles and drove out 4 gallons of gas. This place is shaded and I will not ever rent from them again. My charges went from 38.31 to 50.09 or 50.90. This is a trip off or a side hussle as the boy put that was working there. I will spread the word to not ever rent from there because they have dishonest people working for them.

I made reservations at 7am on 1/25/20, which is when the store was scheduled to open. I left after 8am and it was still closed. No employee ever came, while I was there waiting. Several customers were standing out in the cold waiting. All of us called customer service several times. Lock box code did not work and I had to get another code. I tried to use the mobile option and it was not efficient nor effective. Honestly, the worse service experience I've ever had. I'm not even sure when the store was open. Had to be over an 1 hour. I was scheduled to meet cable and security set up for my move at 8am and this experience made my move extremely challending and frustrating. To improve, I would suggest hiring employee(s) who show up to work and punctual.

The truck ran well and was perfect for our move. The truck had not been cleaned out thoroughly. We needed to sweep it out before we started loading it. The express checkout did not work. The combination was incorrect. The 1-800 customer service tried to help us over the phone, but I could not get the box opened. The local service center in Spartanburg opened 45 minutes late at around 7:45. There were 4 people waiting for equipment rentals before they got there. They got the box open that had my key with a master key at about 8 AM, an hour after the scheduled pickup.

i was double billed..i picked up a 15' truck at 9:00am sunday morning and returned it to an after hours drop off at the same location at 5:30pm on sunday evening. billed me for 2 days

The attendant hooked up the straps wrong and told me to do it the same way. By the time I got to the vehicle to be towed the strap was wrapped uneven and could not be unhooked. Luckly I went to another U haul place and they fixed it. Not Happy Not cool.

The issue with the vehicle was that the steering was very sloppy. Tie rod ends seemed to be very worn. It was hard to keep the truck in the center of the lane due to having to constantly saw the steering wheel to keep it steady.

My husband loss his job and we got behind on our storage payments. They said they would auction our belongings and throw away pictures and other stuff. Rat poop and urine was on all our things.
