As far as I can see and from my experience with all the folks working here. I will always use this company for all my moves. This location is well-maintained, and the people are so professional. They made my move so much easier because the people that work there are so helpful. Thank U!!!

Paul G.I tried to call to ask one question about the UHaul and they just placed us on hold without so much as a hello. Waited for 10 min then hung up and called back just to be placed on hold again. Getting the UHaul was too much of a process online and very unclear on what needed to be done. We got there at 8 ready to rent and it took 25 min online to get anything done. The girl that was there when we arrived was very nice and helpful. Once we got the uhaul, it was okay. It wasn't clean and cup holders had stickiness and gunk in them but the guy outside was very helpful in helping us find our UHaul as well as making drop off easy. The process should be made easier or able to use a kiosk at the store. We really didn't wanna have to speak to anyone directly but we ended up having to because of how confusing it was.
Haley N.I rented a uhaul trailer as i have been doing for a long time just not from this location. I rented it for one day and when that day was coming to an end there was a real bad storm and i called to see that it was ok if i was a little and they said ok. I had the trailer for approximately 25 hours and they charged me for a second and when i mentioned that i called there response was, yes, we said okay but we didnt say that we wouldnt charge you for it, sorry. They were completely rude and thought this comment at the end was extremely funny and of course i did not. I will never rent from them again.

I did not ask for ‘safe move' coverage but was charged for it. Check engine light was on I noticed after leaving but I did not want to return to Uhaul Location to get yet another truck. Was only going within 20 miles). Would be nice to get a refund.

Autumn L.When I was at the store picking up the rental truck, I was asked to upload photos of my face and driver's license. It would've been nice to do this in advance, as it took several tries to get an acceptable photo. Also, the rental trucks were parked VERY close to one another. It was difficult to get inside my vehicle and difficult to see if there was any traffic behind me as I exited the parking space.

Harry C.I have used this location in the past and always been satisfied. This time I was provided a truck with window trim that was defective and flapping on the roof. When I returned the vehicle less than 7 hours later on the same day I took out the rental, I was charged the rental rate for two days and the Safe Move insurance coverage for two days. The mileage rate also went from 79 cents per mile to 99 cents per mile.

Daniel B.I had a very unpleasant and pleasant experience at this U-Haul. The unpleasant experience that I had was when my U-Haul was stuck in mud, and I called roadside assistance to get some help getting the truck out of the mud, and when I gave the information that I was given at the time of pick up I was told that the truck was under another name and that it had been rented since August 2022. The customer service rep advised me to contact the store to get this fixed because it could cause problems for me in the future and when I called the store, the employee Eric Williams told me to tell customer service that they better get it together and had the worst attitude that I was calling and did not want to be placed on hold because I was already placed on hold for 30 minutes. Now I understand that these employees are alone in the store, but at what point do they get back to the phone to answer questions? So after getting no solution from the customer service rep or the employee that helped me in the store I had to pay my own tow person to get the truck out of the mud because I could not get any assistance from the store or from customer service. After getting the U-Haul truck towed out of the mud I then called back to let the employee know that I would not be bringing the truck back at 1 pm because I had just gotten the truck out of the mud at 12 PM and I had not loaded or moved anything. He then proceeded to say well if “I would've known that I would not have rented the truck to you.†I was completely baffled at that comment, and if I would've known the customer service would've been so terrible I would've never rented a truck from this specific U-Haul, he then asked if I could bring it back by four, which I said yes and which I did. When I return the truck, I asked to speak to a manager and felt defeated to learn that the employee was the general manager as I was explaining the situation to another employee. The closing manager walked And I explain the situation to her. She then listened and did a deeper dive for me which showed that I did in fact have the correct truck and that I did have it under my name which was all I wanted from the general manger that helped me earlier. This interaction has truly made me not want to use U-Haul anymore, more specifically that specific location, but the closing manager that helped me was such an angel and actually took the time to listen and give me feedback on my situation. We had a very nice conversation and she proceeded to tell me that she just got out of the hospital and came straight to work. I was shocked that she was at work after leaving the hospital, but she said she loved what she did and I could clearly tell that she did, she absolutely turn my whole interaction around and I did leave the store happy despite the nasty and rude comments that were made to me by the manager that helped me earlier. I hope that a conversation is had with the general manager because that is not any way to treat a customer, and if he treated me like that, I can't imagine how he treats and talks to other people.

My friend (driver for truck) even went 20 mins early and the guy working wouldn't let her check in -even though her name was listed as the driver and her license was on file when I made the reservation. She had to leave the line and go behind 4 more people. The guy who was working WAS trying to work fast but they were obviously understaffed for the amount of reservations they had. I heard the guy even tell someone the had no dollys and rented them all out. The truck leaked from ceiling because it was raining. (Minimal leak but still not acceptable) AND the drivers seat belt was broken so she had to drive the truck all day with no seat belt. I wouldn't use this location again. Still waiting on a response from the company if they are going to discount my bill.

Doug D.I organized a move of my daughter from downtown Indianapolis to downtown Chicago. It's only a 3 hour trip, but being downtown at both end presents a parking challenge. I researched a U-Haul moving truck and auto carrier several weeks in advance, selecting the pickup and drop-off places. We also arrange moving folks to load and unload the truck. On the morning of the move, I arrived at the U-Haul facility on S. East St Indianapolis where I was told the pick up place was changed. I have no indication on my phone of the change. Luckily the manager there had a truck and trailer available. On my way to Chicago, I get a call on my phone. I am driving a truck with an auto carrier in unbelievable traffic. I cannot take the call; it's unsafe. Later I find out that U-Haul has changed my drop off location and that the trailer and truck are to go to two separate places. This was totally unacceptable. We called customer service and after some stressing discussion, were told to another location that was 45 minutes away but would take both the truck and car-trailer. Unfortunately, that location was closed. At that point, we were really stressed. We called customer service again. The next location we were given (20 min away) was luckily open and accepted the equipment with no hassle. I want to give the highest praise to the staff at the U-Haul facilities in Indianapolis and Chicago. They were excellent and very helpful. Although it was difficult (wait-time) to reach, they were very caring of our situation and eventually got us to a drop off place. The logistic folks failed us with last minute changes and not realizing that we could not drop of the truck and the auto carrier at different location. As a result, we had to drive more miles than we planned and burn more gasoline.

MARK B.You need to change your pricing menu. It says that the truck is $29.99, but I paid $104 out the door. I know there is insurance, but the price more than doubled. That should be illegal. Also, the link to the drop off location was bad. It took me 5 miles in the wrong direction. I get to the place the GPS told me to go to and realize it is a contractor's location. I probably had to pay for 10 extra miles. It wouldn't be an issue if I didn't have a 30 mile limit.

douglas r. | First ImpressionsEquipment was not in good shape. The truck's cab was very dirty. The steering wheel was gross to touch; the passenger door lock did not function. Also the truck drove fairly poorly. It had 187,000 miles and made a lot of creaking and squeaking when turning. There was some pretty significant rust damage on the roof of the cab and bottom of the doors. Also, the airbag system malfunction light was illuminated on the dash.

I went nine miles for my move , in total, and was charged 156$ . Luckily my debit card was locked. After speaking with multiple employees , I am still receiving emails that say I owe 186$. They also had me down for a storage that I never had #299. Again after speaking to someone everyday for four days straight I'm still receiving emails saying that I owe . Fire everyone and get a new crew . You go up there and everybody is on break smoking , not attending to customers whatsoever . Worst UHAUL in the city!!!!! TIGHTEN UP

They were 11 on a scale of 1 to 10. They are keeps. Also, they followed guidelines and safety to the fullest, a customer brought a propane tank in and walked of and left it. They removed it from the building immediately why making the customer aware which was ignoring them. Then when the customer started paying attention she got mad about the propane tank being placed outside they explained to her they were trying to make her aware she became very irate with them. The two caps are composure while explaining procedure and the danger of having a propane in the building., And the lady kept cussing them out and they still maintain composure. If this was my business I would have both of them on my staff and take care of them appropriately. In my eyes they deserve coodles for doing a great job. great job ladies you are A1 customer service people in my book with your great smiles thank you for taking care of me properly in my time of need, and looking out for my safety. I figured it out in my own. You shouldn't have people who don't care for costumers working there. It was a terrible experience. I got charged three times the mileage because she forgot to mentioned how important this was and to top it she tried making me feel stupid for her not knowing how to do her job correctly.
