The person who was helping me (I do not know her name) was great but the general manager was appalling. When the person helping me ran into difficulty with the computer, the general manager began yelling at her and berating her right in front of me. The GM was very young and could use some mentoring on leadership. You do not treat your employees like that in front of customers. The GM attempted to be nice to me, the customer, but after witnessing her explosion on her employees I could see it was a phony attempt at customer service.

I rented the 4 x 8 covered trailer to move a couch. After it was hooked up and we got on the road the trailer bounced around a good bit and made terrible noises making us wonder if it was going to stay on the hitch! I did get out and check to make sure it was tight and it was. At that point I assumed it was just that the trailer was empty. After loading the couch it did fine.

I just think 7 was too early to close the storage area. And we shouldn't have to pay extra for 24 hour access. I'm already paying for a unit. First storage place I ever used that charged extra

I was given a trailer with a bad tire on it. When I unloaded the door got stuck up. So I called dispatch they advised my to take it to the nearest uhaul. The drive shaft on my truck is damaged because of that bad tire. And to top it all off I was charged $45 extra than my contract for something that was not my fault. I will never use uhaul and i will i spread this experience to as many ppl as can.

This is the second time that I have dropped off at this location and I won't be back. When I went to drop the trailer off I was told to just take it back where I got it from. when I explained that I had picked it up in Colorado Springs she said well just look back there you'll see where it goes and put it there. When I enquired if they wanted to inspect it first they said no. while we were parking trailer then all three uhaul employees came out but none of them appeared to inspect the trailer. when I went in to get my receipt it took all three of them to figure out who I was and one of my receipt was and how to get it. At first they tried to give me the wrong receipt from the wrong person. As I was leaving I heard the making fun of me. I won't be back.

Make sure they explain how the one way payment process works in a better way. Because I was charged for days that i had no need to keep the trailer any longer than need but was not able to get a refund on the other days but the trailer was back on Uhaul property to be re rented. But I was informed that there was a refund for the days that i had no need of the trailer but they would have charged me for any extra day that i would have keep the trailer but i couldn't received may refund on those used day by me. I don't think I fare and I have been using the U Haul service for many years.

The truck was nasty and the brakes didn’t work. I had to stand up on the brakes just to get the truck to stop. That is very dangerous.

Tell the customer to take pictures of the gas gauge when returned so they don't end up paying twice what they expected to pay. The general manager was uninterested in my satisfaction as a customer. She already has my money so I guess I don't matter. I was basically called a liar and then sent the contract of the next customer who had the truck I used, including all their personal information. When I brought the error to her attention, she just said she sent it to show me I wasn't charged extra.... Still don't see why I needed that customers home address, phone, etc. Anyway, the facility is clean, the truck was great, the people who waited on me in the store were fantastic. The reason this is a negative review is the general manager, period.

First of all the location manager is EXTREMELY RUDE to every single customer every time I have ever been in this location. Nobody has been helpful there for me any time I have ever been there. They also never know anything about the storage units.. I was given a number for a unit they assigned me and it had locks on it and a sticky note that said to remove the locks. I made them aware and they said they would take them off. I went back and only one lock was taken off. Nobody said anything to me about the unit so I told them there was still a lock on there. Then they told me that I was going to have to have two units that equaled out to the same size as the original one bc that one was taken. Nobody was helpful or made me aware of any of this and I had to go seek the information myself. Nobody was helpful when we dropped off the uhaul today either. Overall I would never in a million years ever recommend this location to anyone, and because of my experiences at this location over the last 2 weeks I will NEVER do any business with uhaul ever again and my job requires me to move a lot. I would pay double to not deal with the people or the app. And just to reiterate, the manager Brittnie is the most unpleasant person I have ever met in my entire life.

Overall, my experience was good. But I had poor customer service from Lauren on three occasions. I rented a truck and two storage units from this location. The first time Lauren was busy checking her texts during my check in to see if her 'baby daddy' was texting about her kids. She kept losing her place and made the check-in more painful than it should have been. The second time I encountered her, she was busy flirting and joking with a guy who worked there the entire time we were interacting. The third time I arrived with my movers (paying them hourly) and there was a lock on my unit. I used the call button and I didn't know it was her but she said she would be right there to remove the lock. We waited over 20 minutes and no one arrived, so I walked in the pouring rain from the storage entrance to the office to ask what the hold up was. There were no fewer than 5 employees milling about and when I asked what was going on, Lauren jumped up and said, "Oh, I got sidetracked and forgot." No apology. No eye contact. Nothing. All the other employees were very nice when I was in - which was several times as I changed my reservation, rented an additional unit and also purchased supplies on two occasions. Lauren just seems occupied with her social life instead of helping customers. Everything else was superb. Lauren is below sub-par.

We had issues with drop off times. The YOUNG female that processed our rental said our terms were for 4 days. But, when they were only going to be a few hrs late, it was realized on our paperwork that it said 3 days. We were reluctant on when to turn it in. This worker did NOT state clearly to us or contract.

I hated the whole experience of booking or reserving a vehicle. It’s very confusing for first time users. I drove to 3 different locations after reserving online. The staff at one location was incredibly rude. One of the “managers” didn’t want to assist me and had the unmitigated gall to discuss out loud how he couldn’t wait to get off work because he was going on vacation.

I was very disappointed. Around 2:30 pm I called and called the Southaven store and never could get anyone to answer so I called the 1800 number. I was told that if I didn’t bring the trailer back to the same location it would cost me $175 instead of $30. To say the least, I will not be renting from Uhaul anymore. I will stick with a Penske truck.

Your online reservation system is SHIT. I reserved a uhaul at a specific location, arrived and the truck wasn’t there. They sent me to two other UHaul locations before I had to pay an extra 30 dollars for a 20’ truck when I only needed a 15’ truck. Fix your shit because that ridiculous.

It took over five hours to install. At first I was told I would have to pay for the extra time but decided not to charge me due to him learning. But I was charged and extra $46.00 and still not sure what that was for. The trailer connector is in the trunk not on the outside like I was told it would be. Said that is how the instructions said to do it. Also the power cable might not be long enough to reach the trailer so I was given an extension cord to reach the trailer. The way it is installed the cable will not last long with the hatch closing on it when in use. Pictures if you want them.

Trailer is extremely old. Tie down points are not useful with today's straps. Trailer was dusty on the inside and lights failed on passenger side. I used trailer to move furniture from Memphis to D.C. I understand the newer trailers are for local use and return. Time to retire or refurbish older model.

I don't know what you can improve on except to give Claudia (Memphis location) and Yvonne (South Haven location) a nice raise - these two ladies went above and beyond their duties in assisting me (I'm in Michigan) with getting my daughter's belongings moved from Memphis to Knoxville. Without their combined efforts and tremendous assistance, I could have never completed this task - and they were so courteous and professional the whole time. These two ladies are definitely an asset to your company.

TWICE the guy forgot the furniture pads. The first visit, we discovered it and had to turn around, go back, to get them. This second trip, he forgot again. We didnt catch it this time and got out of state before we realized he didnt put them in the trailer. My furniture got scratched up because of it and all I got was “oh sorry”. Sorry doesn’t take the scratches off my furniture. Not happy right now. When I called, the girl stated she took them off. However, we dropped the uhaul off early. Family Auto was very friendly and called about the pads. I told them what happened and HE took care of it. So the girl at the Southaven location lied that she took care of it. Disappointed in the southaven location.

I actually moved out on April 30, 2018. I had to call three times to finally get y’all to quit asking me to pay for another months rent then you sent me a notice with a late fee. Pad lock on it 2X.
