Give the accurate information when reservations are done, the process was nerve racking to be going through the online steps after being told the time of pick up from the reservation. Nonetheless the young lady was very patient, courteous and helpful I'm so mad I can't remember her name she has a beautiful unusual name black and beautiful shout out to her, very professional young lady.Lisa C.

Upon arriving at the location, I was told that there was no uHaul truck even though I had a reservation number for that location at that time. I was sent to a town 30 minutes away, where there were no uhauls. I went 30 minutes back after calling Saddle Brook again and then telling me they actually do have the uHaul I reserved. They wasted 1.5 hours of my moving day with incompetency. I expect a refund and will not be using uHaul again.Michael G.

Renter is required to check all sides of vehicle but they are parked so close to each other you cannot get between. You have no space to pull forward as it would block the exit and probably be on the road, too, blocking traffic.James G.

I was there, I believe, on 8/10 to get a truck. The receptionists were rude to me for no reason. One was in training, and the girl who was apparently training her was visibly annoyed and treated me in the worst possible way, with bad attitude, rudeness and laziness. I booked the truck in advance and she didn't even want to check my confirmation number. I was shocked by her attitude! Usually I don't write reviews but in this case I think the person responsible for this place should know about it. The other girl in training was also rude to me, I think she is learning from the teacher.James G.

Your check in process (APP) is horrible. While the people were nice and they were helpful it took 40 mins for me to check out my rental vehicle. For that alone I will not use U-Haul again if that is the standard. In my experience clients don't want to do the work of the organization they are contracting with. I am paying for a truck and the service to get it checked in and out properly.Bob C.

Again, I moved my reservation to U-Haul due to the ability to return the equipment in Paramus NJ - 5 minutes from my destination. The return location was changed one-day prior to my pickup date, causing me to juggle my arrangements for the return while attempting to finish packing and complete the loading of the truck. Not acceptable at all. This experience was horrible. I will caution anyone who mentions they need a truck that they cannot trust anything that U-Haul states about their rental locations or equipment. This was a horrible experience which I am very happy to have behind me.RICHARD O.

Had an appt and upon arrival for a hitch install with full wiring for my vehicle. They didn't have a mechanic to do the install, so I was sent to another branch. At that branch, I proactively called after a few hours to simply get an update. When I called they mentioned my car was already finished. Why didn't they let me know???? How much longer would I have waited had I not called myself? Found out after install, I would have to go back to the first location to pay. Had my vehicle serviced at the dealership later that day where I learned that the wiring kit was installed incorrectly and dangerously under my gas tank. I originally wanted a full refund sent to my card , despite paying cash, so I wouldn't have to drive all the way back. Alex the manager at the branch refused and said I'd have to go in person. After getting getting there, I found out that my card was refunded partially. No call? Outrageous waste of time and resources. Had to take off of work only to have to do half the job all over again. DO NOT get a hitch installed at Uhual. I thought I would have saved money getting it done at a Uhual, but I ended up spending the same amount that the local mechanics quoted me, PLUS I lost an entire day of my time, only having to do the job over again. Horrible experience!!! You need to train your staff on basics of customer service especially your Patterson and Saddle Brook staff. I initially booked my uhaul auto transport at Patterson for 75.00 dollars; when I arrived there, I asked if I can do the drop off in queens, the unprofessional lady behind the desk advised me that if i were to do this I need to go to Saddle Brook location to upgrade my agreement for the drop off to be done in queens. we live in 21st century and she couldnt do the upgrade on the computer or the phone?? I had to drive to Saddle Brook from Patterson -6 miles?? When i got to Saddle Brook i was advised that now my cost will be 179 dollars because they cant accept the Patterson rate of 75 dollars meanwhile Patterson lady advised me that the rate will be 75.00 dollars still. UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF! YOU NEED TO TRAIN THEM! NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH YOUchris B.

I don't understand why there is even an option for counter or online pick up/drop off of trucks. Each time I've picked counter in the past 3 months, the employee directs me online to do the check in. I've only been able to use the app/website once for check in and drop off where there weren't any problems. Each time the app hangs or can't process my transaction. So what's the point? I have used u hual for all my moving needs.however since last time things has changed. It used to be very pleasant experience. You go in , ask for what you need and give em your ID , answer few questions and than they take you to urgent desired truck and you get going . Now this pain in the neck online reservation took me and hour , new requirement for having 3 different ph numnets . Not sure how .everyone able to provide 3 different ph numbers. Than wait for reservation to reach the counter employee , who wouldn't do anything with out it . That's all they say now you Have to do it online . Finding truck was hassle . Truck no showing wasn't there so I had to redoing until after 4th attempt you find the truck no . Than go inside and wait for em to give u keys . Bottom line online is good but it should be a n option not required. Unfortunately we are living in an inhuman world . Technological advances are good but it shouldn't be required.Danish S.
I do not have a problem with the drop-off location personally. I wanted to leave the truck at a different location and the customer service lady never changed it ahead of time and they were going to charge me a ridiculous fee for dropping it off outside of that location. I had to pay extra money on tolls and gas to get my car to this location because UHAUL was not accommodating and did not explain their policies clearly to me! Disappointed in the UHAUL company not this store, they were not even there b/c the vehicle was dropped off after-hours.Melissa Y.

In regards to the storage unit when I first tried to have people in the store help me they were unable to. When I went online I booked a 2nd floor Room and still managed to get on the 3rd floor! And it is a little ridiculous that floor 2 and 3 have to first go up stairs when I asked for help they say their is a ramp but the ramp starts on the 2nd floor where I was supposed to originally be not up the stairs and up a ramp..... The facility was not easy to navigate, and after moving for 10 hours with one other person, a little assistance on where to go would have been nice. Todo estuvo perfecto en el recibo del vehículo en Minnesota y el personal súper atentos. La devolución del track y tower no fue para nada agradable. Como clienta mujer esperaba mayor amabilidad en la entrega y no que tenía que saber como desengranar el camión del remolque que venía con mi carro. Yo venía de conducir 20 horas para encontrarme con semejante cuento. Los que recibieron el vehículo dijeron que eso no les correspondía hacerlo y que yo debía pagar un fee si quería que ellos lo hicieran. Yo respondí que no tenía conocimiento de ello pues en mi contrato no decía nada de esas tarifas extra pero que si estaba establecido en el sistema yo lo pagaba y finalmente no lo cargaron. Creo que solo tiraron el aventón. Ese detalle genera desconfianza. No me pareció honesto de esos dos empleados en Saddle Brook.Diana D. | First Impressions

You facility had a roof leak and damaged my items. I was told it my problem because I didn't have separate insurance. I really don't care what the contract says. You have a building that's not maintained and that should not be my problem. I lost three months of Rent payments and thousands of dollars because I have to throw out all my items from the damage.
