Everything was what I expected. Only thing I wish you had was more trailers the car dolly was fine but I would have preferred a full trailer to haul my antique collectible truck. So that there wasn't a risk of damage to it.William L.

Some of the personnel were nice and helpful, others brushed us off, including our request to check in our vehicle when we returned it, so that we were later hit with bogus charges instead of being helped at the time to address any issues. Extremely disappointing. they did help us to rectify what they could later on, but it was a big hassle instead of just checking in the vehicle with us from the beginning.Meghan B.

Don't hang up on them when the strong arming is not working. when the customer drives to the site after being hung up on, don't refuse to talk to them. I used the U-Haul website to reserve a 20' van for a 1-way trip, to be picked up in Saco. Less than 24 hours before I was to pick it up, a representative called and told me that there would not be a 20' available for me the next morning. They did NOT have a larger van available, but they did have a 15' that I could rent. If a 15' would have been sufficient, don't you think I would have reserved that in the first place??? I do not understand why the website would allow me to reserve a size van that the agent said is "never available for a 1-way" at the site I requested to pick up(Saco). This is a TERRIBLE business practice! This is not the first time this has happened to us either. Less than 2 weeks prior to this experience, we had reserved a 26' nearly a month in advance. Four days before our HUGE move, an agent called me to tell me that he would not have a 26' available at my reserved pickup time and location. WHAT??? He was calling to see if a 20' would be sufficient. Again, wouldn't I have reserved a 20' in the first place, if it would have done the job? (And what about the fact that there are no 20' vans ever available for 1-way from Saco, which I was told the second time I reserved a van for pickup in Saco?) I was told by a U-Haul employee after completing the return of my second rental, that I could have asked for a trailer for 1Â¢ when I was told that they didn't have the van size I had reserved. How would I have even known to ask that?? Shouldn't the agent have offered that??? Because of U-Haul's poor business practices, I now need to make the THREE HOUR trip BACK to our old house to get the items that would have fit perfectly in a 20' van, but not in the 15' van they rented me. This has been a miserable and exhausting experience with U-Haul, and I WILL be telling others about it, you can be sure.PAUL P.

Made a reservation, then they cancelled it on me and told me they had no more trucks available over the phone until my brother went and asked them to rent a Uhaul and then they let me rent one. Uhaul is great! Unfortunately, The service representative that I dealt with was awful. Overcharged me by 0.10 per mile. Advertised rate was 0.69 per mile and was charged 0.79/mile. The rep was rude and disinterested in helping me. I would appreciate a follow-up call so that I may elaborate. I will be following up if uhaul doesn't.MARK O.

Overall, the van was pretty clean, but there was some trash left in the door from the previous renter. Also, I think U-Haul should adopt a policy that all vehicles leave the lot with a full tank of gas Trying to return a vehicle with the same arbitrary amount that it left with (e.g., 5/8 of a tank) is nearly impossible, which results in U-Haul getting lost of free gas (or being able to charge people 50% above market rates to add to the tank). The truck i reserved was not available. I reserved a pick up for 6 hrs. I i got my rental over an hr later than what i was told. Then i was told i still had to pay the full 6 hrs or i wouldnt be able to get the rental today. I was told its company policy. Anyway i was completely ripped off. Had a little snafu with the alternate phone number. Already gave my phone number and my alternate's online but was told that you had those numbers and I had to use another one. We enrolled in the special offer of get one month of storage free with our U-Haul rental. We took the advice of the U-Haul representative on the size of unit we needed based off of the size of truck we rented. Upon getting there we realized it was a terrible recommendation and we needed a larger unit. In trying to talk through our concerns and issue with the representative at the counter - well lets just say they were less than helpful, unless we wanted to rent a second unit. uHaul had setup auto pay for our storage unit, that way once the free month was over it would automatically bill us. uHaul failed to bill us for July and August. Forcing our account to show as unpaid. Despite a $2 authorization charge showing on our bank statement - clearly showing that uHaul had access to bill our account. The staff @ Saco U-Haul was great, and the facility is really nice U-haul had an issue in that it confused me with somebody else in their system and initiall prevented the rental from going through, but when the standard customer support from U-haul was evidently failing, the staff reached out "behind the scenes" to expedite the resolution and bring it to a great conclusion - they saved the day and made my experience a positive one.Jeff J. | First Impressions

Jen Strout was great however, this facility needs more staff. I have had issues with a truck not being available when I reserved it, having their systems down when I wanted one and although it was there, they could not rent because they could not get into the computer. I would not use the auto payment system for storage lease again as I have had an issue with it. Also I can NEVER get anyone on the Phone causing me to have to go in person and wait in a long line to speak with someone as only one person is working there.
