Information about drop off times. I got double charged for delivering uhaul back at 10 instead of 9 am. 250$ to 374$. Don't let them get you. I was Mis informed from the get go when I got Told no need to worry you won't get double charged for returning the next day. There was no time limit until I showed up. I got screwed. Dropping the truck off was a little sketchy, I just walked in with the key and handed it to them they never came out to check the vehicle over anyting. I'm not sure if that's policy or at least particular operators.ROBERT H.

First they called to delay my pick up time as the truck was not ready. Came to pick it up at 5:30PM. They took half an hour hooking up the car transporter- I did not get into the truck until 6:00PM- however on the form they said the return time was 5:45PM. I filled the tank and the indicator was on the Full mark- yet they charged me for 2 gallons: $9.50. How is this accurate since the truck was not taken ANYWHERE to add gas???? I only went to Saco because nothing was available in Sanford where I live. They also charged me for Safe Move Coverage and Safe Tow coverage- that I clearly declined when I made the on-line reservation. The drivers side door took 5 attempts every time to close it.Tracy J.

Waited 15 minutes with in the store. Guy in the garage out back wouldn't answer. Had to go find the employees taking a break together. Truck smelled like cigarettes. And they charged me for miles I didn't use.Alison L.

Scheduled to have a hitch installed on my vehicle. When At the scheduled appointment, I was informed the information on my vehicle was documented incorrectly. There were no available parts to install the hitch. During the appointment the price of the installation increased approximately $200. When scheduling the appointment I was not informed about the wiring installation. Employee at Manchester, CT site told me I could travel to my destination (maine), have whirring installed on the vehicle upon arrival when I purchase the rental of a trailer. When I arrived in Maine from CT I was informed that the installation of the wiring required a reservation and the hardware was not in stock. The employee in Manchester, CT stated there was universal wiring and it's in stock at the Maine location. Due to the extremely poor communication I had to rent a truck which rather than a trailer to transport items from Maine to CT.Justin W.

Let's start off with the 1 good thingâ€¦ 1. The process to book and pick up is easy, as well as after hours drop off. Now let's get to the good stuffâ€¦ 2. The pricing is way too high, the tank was at 3/4, I filled it, and got no $ back. 3. The truck I got smelled of cigarettes and when addressed, both when checking the truck during pick up and drop off, I have not heard any response, and again, no compensation like the extra gas I added; I will NOT being using them again, I'd rather make 100 trips with a mini coup first. Tip: Do not use them. If you must, check and question everything they do.Luke G.

Stop price gouging. We rented a 20' truck for our three hour move North for $258 plus mileage on the 16th of October. 8 days later, we wanted a smaller truck for the exact same trip North with the same drop off point. You jumped the price up to over $650 plus mileage. When I asked why, just one week later, the amount for the exact same trip over doubled, the only response I got was a shrug and the reply "supply and demand". We had to drive the truck back south an extra hour out of way to drop it off just to avoid paying almost 700 bucks. Drop off price was still more than it had been a week prior! I'm curious how 'supply and demand' justifies this price gouging. I was disgusted by this. Moving is expensive and stressful enough, what kind of company is UHaul exactly, that this is acceptable? UHaul clearly does not care about the customer. We were clean and respectful with the vehicle, had everything back on time with the appropriate gas in it, only to be rewarded for being a return customer with a price jump of over double the price a week prior. Whomever made this call, you should be ashamed. I cannot wait to share my experience with everyone I talk to. I hope they in turn tell everyone they talk to, and they find any alternative to using UHaul.LESTER C.

I booked a 26' Truck for an in-town move a few weeks in advance and called prior to pickup to confirm. When I arrived I was told they did not have my truck or my reservation. There was no follow up, not attempt to assist or find another truck, just Sorry, can't help you. Luckily a gentleman from another location was covering and offered to drive a truck down the next day. I rented a 6x12 trailer #12380. A previous renter had cut the chains that hold the trailer tailgate up, one of the retaining pins was hard to install, and the tires looked a little low, in air. The manager is great! I had an issue with thinking I had to fill the tank prior to returning the rental . Supposed to return it same as u got it, in this case half full. I filled it just before retuning it. She credited me for the difference which was great and was very helpful.DAVID L.
The rental was not ready and I lead to me leaving the lot later than expected. I didn't appreciate the hidden fees, or the unauthorized transactions on my card. The two gentlemen did their best to get hair out the vehicle, but it did leave me late for my departure. I'm gonna also assume they just skim over the "check in" part because they completely overlooked the ezpass to then allow other people to use my transponder and eating up my toll money. They said they WONT do anything to rectify the situation. I get it's partially my responibility because it's my personal belongings. I just feel as if the person who checked it back in should have stated that. Also it says I arrived way later then I did, thus resulting in a overcharge that I did NOT agree too. Some of the personnel were nice and helpful, others brushed us off, including our request to check in our vehicle when we returned it, so that we were later hit with bogus charges instead of being helped at the time to address any issues. Extremely disappointing. they did help us to rectify what they could later on, but it was a big hassle instead of just checking in the vehicle with us from the beginning.Meghan B.

uHaul had setup auto pay for our storage unit, that way once the free month was over it would automatically bill us. uHaul failed to bill us for July and August. Forcing our account to show as unpaid. Despite a $2 authorization charge showing on our bank statement - clearly showing that uHaul had access to bill our account. The staff @ Saco U-Haul was great, and the facility is really nice U-haul had an issue in that it confused me with somebody else in their system and initiall prevented the rental from going through, but when the standard customer support from U-haul was evidently failing, the staff reached out "behind the scenes" to expedite the resolution and bring it to a great conclusion - they saved the day and made my experience a positive one.Jeff J. | First Impressions
