Your automated system is the worst. .you ask us to call a 800 number for call back then the agent tells you best to call local number... When you call local number waiting for 20 minutes you can get a call back... 800 call back after 52 minutes tell you best to call local number... Done... Either one number till issue is resolved and don't play flip flop hoping that because you missed calls or get frustrated customer forgets or gives up...IRMA F.

I drove the truck a total of 5miles. Literally from one side of the highway to the other. Forgive the late fee if customer is late about 30 minutes. We were told the U-Haul system doesn't allow for overrides. So 30 minutes late, we pay a whole extra day of rental without access to the equipment because we are returning it and it's already rented to someone else. Customer service was lacking. I can't tell if it was due to understaffing (long wait), but all but one worker (truck maintenance guy was so friendly and helpful - best person there by far) seemed to not care at all about anything, nor listen to what I was trying to tell them about the drop off location... Very frustrating!!! In addition to this upsetting encounter, we were already frustrated because we had made a reservation online at least a week (I think 2 weeks) prior for a 26' truck... I was told THE DAY BEFORE WE MOVED that there would be NO 26' available AND they had to change the pickup location to this place that was further away from the location we originally selected... This is the most upsetting part of everything because I don't understand the point of making a reservation if what I'm reserving isn't going to be available!! This seems like a scammy way to cheat people out of their money when they're in the vulnerable position of moving - we NEEDED a moving truck, not like we could completely cancel the day before!!! And then, if all of this wasn't upsetting enough, they charged me $158 instead of the current quoted reservation price of $152. I realize that this is a difference of only $6, however, given the fact that THEY changed my "reservation," it would at least have been somewhat comforting knowing they were trying to make up for the EXTREME inconvenience of shorting us the 6'. When I arrived on-site there was one employee moving trucks in the parking lot and one inside. There were 8+ folks in front of me, delaying my checkin until an hour after the rental started. The truck was damaged on all sides, and the inside smelled like a chain smoker's truck. I received the vehicle with less than 3/4 tank of gas. When filling at the gas station, the truck never acknowledged the gas being above 1/2 tank, so I would up filling beyond full. It wasn't until arriving at the uhaul lot that the truck registered a full tank. So y'all got 1/4 tank from me. The employees were fine, but understaffed + equipment issues = me rethinking my next reservation.Tara D.

Stop trying to steal peoples hard earned money by charging their credit card on file for bogus charges. I rented a van $19.95/day plus $.79/mile for a 24 hour period. I didn't even have the van for a full 24 hours yet the â€˜final bill' showed $189.90 for van rental plus $134 in mileage plus $20 in collision damage waiver. I've dealt with U-Haul for many years and never had an issue like this before. I'm certain it's the location and NOT U-Haul as a company. Stay far away from this particular location as I do not believe that they give an accurate representation of the company as a whole.Brian C.
Had a challenge with drop off after hours. Tried to do online drop off just going through a mobile web page. Was not able to upload pictures after trying for 15 minutes decided to download the U-Haul app. Once I signed in via the app everything moved fast. It was never explained that returning equipment after the anticipated return time (even by just a few hours) would result in being charged for an entire extra day. Additionally, I was not told that if I was going to be late that I should call and extend my reservation time to avoid that. Terrible experience! When I got to the Uhaul facility where I made my reservation, they told me my unit was no longer available. WHAT IS THE POINT OF A RESERVATION SYSTEM IF THE ONLINE RESERVATION IS NOT HONORED! I am lucky they were able to help me find another unit nearby although I am now paying more than I had initially intended to for a unit of the same size. Great staff, terrible reservation system. Improper mask usage. All workers either not wearing, or below nose. Constantly grabbing at center of mask with bare hands and touching everything from paperwork to cards being exchanged. Felt so uncomfortable, as I am moving due to losing family to COVID and and trying to be cautious when this made that impossible. Also given a unit that already had a lock on it and that caused even more issues. I would not recommend this location to anyone based on these actions and the manner workers presented themselves in. I am only grateful for the young woman who fixed the storage unit access issue as fast as possible.
