I made a reservation for another location. Didn't find out until I arrived that the equipment was already rented out and the other on flats. I was told that if I drove to another location I would get an adjustment for miles. Tanisha did everything she could to make the adjustments and yet still was charge a regular rate. Dolly was not in truck. Had to go back. Trucked parked in a place that was difficult to get out of. Woman at desk was ambivalent. Channels ( phone, web, in person ) were out of sync on details of reservation. Checking in on line saves the company time, but not sure it saved me timeLance A.

Good Morning Ms. Coleman, Your response to the headache caused by changing my location without speaking to me directly was unprofessional, lacked reason and any empathy toward my situation as the customer. 1. As a customer who is looking to rent a truck for moving and knowing that said truck was only allotted a certain number of milesâ€¦why would I assume that it is not at the location I chose when I reserved it? 2. Why would I not choose a location that was not closest to my home as opposed to in another town (actually three towns over)? 3. If you â€œupdateâ€ my reservation, that means you changed it. Not me. Why would you â€œupdateâ€ my plans without speaking with me? That is unacceptable. 4. There was no text or voicemail to the number I put on my reservation for the truck. Think about this: If there was at least a text to this phone, I would not have been surprised and upset when I arrived at my â€œpreferredâ€ location. Impossible, right? 5. There was no option for a â€œsecondaryâ€ location when I booked online. Sooooâ€¦it is unprofessional of you to email meâ€¦the customerâ€¦as if I did something wrong by going to the location where I was supposed to pick up a truck. 6. It is ridiculous to change what I booked online and then carry on as if I was really booking to get a truck from three towns over. 7. You are representing a multi million dollar company. Instead of sending meâ€¦the customerâ€¦that you did not verify a change withâ€¦on an unnecessary wild goose chase, you could have easily had a UHAUL employee from Riverdale, Georgia bring the truck to Lovejoy, Georgia. That was not my responsibility at 7pm when I arrived at my â€œpreferredâ€ location prior to my pickup time. That would be good customer service. Instead, Ms. Coleman, you are justifying causing me confusion, gas in my car, time of driving back and forth, etc. If this is your idea of good customer service, I am shocked and appalled. 8. Think about this, if I took an Uber to pick up the truckâ€¦what then? I guess I'd still be standing there and you would care less as a representative of Uhaul. 9. People live real lives and checking email while trying to move is not a priority. Perhaps you've never moved or never had a reason to rent a truck. Perhaps you've never reserved anything online and expected it to be what or where you actually thought it was going to be. Maybe you just work for UHAUL, but have no logic, reason or empathy for customers. I received stellar customer service from every Uhaul person I spoke with yesterday when I called. Yet, Ms. Coleman, I am disturbed and further upset by your lack of everything required to resolve this situation as a result of your response to me. The $193.00 I spent with your company probably means nothing to you. However, it matters to me. I should not have to go into detail with you about why I rented a truck close to my home. I planned my day around picking up a truck at my â€œpreferredâ€ location for a reason. I had many things to do. Your â€œupdateâ€ caused more problems and more inconvenience than the ones I listed here. There should be something online that boldly states â€œYou can choose a location, and give us your card, but we can ultimately tell YOU (the customer) where you are going to rent an actual truck from.â€ Ridiculous. Would you agree? We were up at 3am still loading a truck due to this decision you all made that I was obligated to pay for because my move was time sensitive. As the customer, my responsibility was to choose a location, pay for the rental and return the truck. I fulfilled my basic and reasonable obligation. Checking my email daily was not a part of the plan. Otherwise, I would have 1. Checked it to see where YOU wanted me to rent from, or 2. Made another decision about the company I rented from. Letting the customer know about the gas in the truck. I rented three times this month and the gas gauge was so far off than what was told at the counter is discouraging. I was never told to drive the truck off of the hill and let it sit for five minutes until I went in to complain. I feel that the employee should go and get the truck and bring it around to the customer. Really disappointed.MEVIS A.

I initially rented a 15' truck, and was told I had to take a 20'. Once arrived, I was told I would be driving a 26' truck, without notification. Much more truck and gas needed. The agent (Lakeisha) was professional, and attempted to assist.BRIAN D.

The Customer service Manger in Riverdale Ga. I think her name was Tameka had such a nasty and unprofessional attitude. Didn't check to see if the store in which I was dropping the truck off. Would be open. And it wasn't. Had to wait for a long time on the phone to make cooperate Customer service aware of my issue. Horrible experience. Both of the associates that worked that day were very kind, courteous and attentive to the customers. I overheard that they had a callout that day but they were very attentive to their customers and apologetic for any extended wait times. The van I requested was ready and waiting for me when I got there and the check out process was a breeze. Not enough people to supply demand. I know it's riverdale but best/ friendly personnel would help the long lines stay calm. The location tried to over charge my mother-in-law we had a card saved on file they said we couldn't use it so I was charged then when I dropped off the truck they tried to charge my car again. Upon time to retrieve my rental I arrived to do my self checkin at 7am and the facility failed to update my reservations to 24/7 so I am able to retrieve my vehicle. I spent 30 mins on the phone with the customer service team whom could not locate a vehicle for the current time ending in me having to wait 2.5 hours to move because I had to check in with the store once opened.TANISHA J.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The outside male attendant was Not not offering no assistance to help unhook the car dolly. He told me to call road side assistance.
