Only issue is one door to the other side of the facility stayed broken and that was on the side where my unit was.

EVA HThis storage place I would not tell anyone about it! The manager there find ways to make money off of people! #1 I paid $50 for my lock being cut! Because she said housekeeping found my storage unit lock was in the wrong hole! But it was secured and locked! How housekeeping see that and my unit is one up in the air tight, not on the lower level! Then she want to put a lien on my storage for 40 some dollars for insurance I never had! And tell me my rent was late and I had to show her I had a receipt and my account was on Automatic payment! This lady kept trying to get money out of me for nothing! This the worst situation I ever had! I work all the way in Wisconsin and had to keep running back to Illinois to try and save my things! I move out! She try running a scam on the customers! I appreciate you thank you!

ALAUNTAE BStore manager put a lock on my unit because they ran out of zip ties. When I came to move in I couldn't. Which caused me to be charged more for my truck rental. Then she got snappy with me because her employee didn't show me the proper way to sign in

The associate that was working with me began to speak badly about the customer once he walked away saying corporate wasn't going to do anything. That was very unprofessional. Also there was trash left from the previous customer in the truck I rented.
Brian TDo not rent anything from this UHAUL location ---> 1510 Torrence Ave Calumet City IL 60409!!! They have the absolute worst Customer Service I've ever experienced! The young lady there has an extremely nasty attitude. Myself and a few other customers that were ahead of me all felt the same talking amongst each other. They should have an option for no stars.

Jacob BI've used numerous storage facilities over the past two years during a couple of work related relocations, and this location and the way the facility is kept is the absolute best I've ever seen! I told the manager it is fantastic and I really appreciate it how well they keep the place up and the garage is that you can use to load and unload your truck make for a very easyand efficient process. This is the last leg of my move and it was a wonderful experience. Gracias.

I drove in from INDY & to be able to pack the trailer in the A.M. after hours was above & beyond. Also to top that the POLICE parked in the area til I finished which made me feel more safer! Be & Stay Safe.
JIMMIE M | Overall ExperienceThe place is clean and secure. However why would I stay at a facility that I can not contact? Only way to talk talk to someone in the Calumet facility is to literally come into the location. That's a big inconvenience especially when your Calumet employees are answering the phone and saying please hold and never come back to the phone. Then we are transferred to customer service representatives in a totally different state who says you have to go to that particular location to receive answers. Come on Jessica that's ridiculous!

He seemed to be under the influence and was using profanity when speaking with customers and would ignore and walk away from customers when they were asking questions. I understand they were short staffed but in no way should he be acting so unprofessional. After I was checked in, my card to get in it did not work and he told me it would take a week to activate. He also mentioned I could only access my storage when they were open or else I couldn't get in. When he walked outside to look for a truck I witnessed him smoke a marijuana electric pen. He was also extremely mean and condescending to his coworker who seemed to be learning the system and was yelling at him. I have never experienced anyone treating clients and coworkers in such poor manner. This guys really needs to be looked into because that was just unacceptable.

WELL, the card doesn't work. I called in to get assistance and the bootleg troubleshooting they do, doesn't work. I had movers and a truck. Jessica could have cared less. Instead of me being negative and getting all upset, I came back the next day during business hours, and guess what card still doesn't work, the bootleg troubleshooting in person doesn't work either. The lady had to override whatever it was in the system to let me in. At the end of the day, it was a system error per the lazy store manager. If it's a system error and I'm doing my part, why not come into your store to assist, especially when I was told I can access my unit at any time? Some people just shouldn't be managers especially when they could care less about a customer.

I would like to give 5 star due to the young man that gave me the locksmith phone number and his professional attitude. and other people that work there nice attitude. But unfortunately if you have a boss or a manager that is not professional, it's hard to give a good rate due to one that is suppose to lead.. I don't understand how one Jessica the bully can have a nice team and she be the way she is. She pick and chooses who to be nice to . My check out was herendous and one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I must say when I was done I felt like a person that had divorced the wrong person. I woke up so happy that I no longer had to deal with that individual ever again... I didn't call Mr Ray because I know like the review I left saying as least as possible. That KARMA is real. People need to treat people like it's there last day on earth. Instead of treating them like idk wormy dog poop. .

courtney b | First ImpressionsI reserved for a storage unit for the lower level because I am disabled and really short. Online it says the unit is available. When I got there, the unit was not available and they had charged my card before I saw the unit they were trying to give me besides the one I said I needed and reserved. They should make sure that the customer is accommodated before they waste their gas and time and money. I have to wait for my money to get back on my card. I can admit they called around for available units of my preference but the prices were high and it was too big. Other than that, customer service was good. Just don't like the fact I have to wait for my money and I still don't have a storage unit. ¡Gracias!

The guys could not figure out properly how to refund my cash deposit more training is needed for your staff.

Gennie W | Online Move InThe storage facility's office hours convenient, clean and well lite. I had no problem with the facility at all, my problem was with the management. Ms. Johnson was cool when I first started my contract 2 years ago. She became very disturbed by me when I feel behind on my monthly storage bill. I lost my job, because I was taking care of my only sister that had cancer. Shortly after that I lost my sister as well as my only brother two months later. I was paying something on my monthly bill, but it wasn't enough. I had been speaking to Jessica Johnson from the very beginning, to see if she could help in anyway with late fees or something. She was very uncooperative in this matter. At one point she even got totally ugly with me. I do understand this is a business and it can't run properly unless we pay. I just felt given the unforeseen circumstances I was facing Ms. Johnson could have been more compassionate and work out something with me. My things have been sold now and I am so sad, as there were my family things in there that meant something to only my family and I. I would have understood if I was a new customer and had been regularly late. Definitely a unfortunate situation, and I will never use uhaul storage again becauseof it.
