the truck that we rented had bulging walls not he back tire that we did not notice until we were loaded and heading to our destination. Soft ball size bulges on each side of the inner tire on the back passenger wheel. Why this was not caught before we rented is beyond me. We were worried the whole trip that it would blow. this is our only complaint - otherwise this was a great experienceVicki R.

Make sure your employees are recording the CORRECT MILEAGE DOWN ONCE VEHICLE IS RETURNED!!! I returned the vehicle back at mileage 113557 (which was only 48 miles total i drove in the 4 hours I had it) and the employee messed up wrote down 113657 which charged me 100 miles MORE than what I drove!!! At .79 a mile, this was an insane amount to charge my account! So when I checked my account I had 2 deductions...one for 65.11 and another for $94.70. The nice lady I spoke to this morning said she fixed it but now I have a THIRD charge on my account for the $80.84 I actually owed total to begin with! Until the other $160 is refunded, which can take up to a WEEK, I have over $240 taken out of my account WHICH could have caused me overdraft fees but luckily I barely had enough in my account to cover this! Also, when I pulled out of parking lot I realized the tank was NOT ON HALF, it was almost down to a quarter tank, when it was supposed to be at half! So I immediately took a picture and called Richmond uhaul right away and he told me not to worry and to make sure I filled it up to half a tank. So I had to pay for SOMEONE ELSES GAS to make it a half tank!!!!! I am so upset with this company. I will NEVER use them again!ELISABETH C.
I have not rented uboxes from Richmond Indiana but i have been charged for them and no one is responding to my request for assistance. Very unhappy with this process and will never use uboxes again.Sabrina S.
If UHaul employees aren't allowed to help load and secure a car to the car hauler, could they refer the rental customers to any UHaul documents? Or make sure the customer has previous experience?James P.
The website would not accept my location- directions were followed I allowed my location to be shared I even hooked up to the locations WiFi. I arrived at 845pm and had to sit till 1020 when I was finally taken off hold for customer service.Kiley M.

Staff was friendly and seemed competent but directions could have been made more clear. I was told card would unlock the doors but that several of the doors where not working. My card did not allow access to any of the doors even several hours after getting the card activated. An alternate card was provided which initially did not work but was told that I would just need to allow time for the card to become active. I have not been back yet to attempt again however I've paid for 24hr access and now have to arrange a visit during office hours to ensure I can get access. I had to read about checking in and out (if I was told about this it was certainly not made clear) and became even more frustrated when card wouldn't swipe and alarm went off upon entering my unit. I was told that if alarm goes off it's not a big deal, which is concerning and leads me to believe my valuables are not safe. I was told if I ever needed anything to just press the intercom button. I pressed that button several times at several different stations and never spoke with anyone. I can see the potential in this storage space however equipment needs to function appropriately or be fixed. Also, with my intent of short term storage due to move, not being able to pull my truck directly up to the unit is another huge deterrent for using this facility in the future.Brandon G. | First Impressions

Customer service when renting the uhual was greatâ€¦ only issue I had was that I was not told about final verification at the end, or i would have to do that. So when I seen text message I had already returned uhual, so I had to come all the way back just to complete that form.Gage W.

The location wasn't bad, the experience with uhaul made our whole move stressful. Our pickup location was changed, but we were only notified 2 days before the move and had to remake moving plans. We also then couldn't change our drop off, so the new location was 30 minutes in the opposite direction of where we needed to go. Then the equipment we ordered wasn't even available at the new location, so we got a smaller truck than we needed and had to make multiple trips. Dealing with uhaul was more stressful than actually moving. We will be looking into a different vendor next move.Ryan S.

I was to pick up the trailer at the Richmond East location. When I arrived, I was informed that I had be "switched" to a location on the west side of Richmond. I received NO notification from UHaul, either online or with a phone call. What's frustrating here is that I was in the east side store THE DAY BEFORE to change my reservation one day. While the east side store may not be responsible for this, it's frustrating to have to jump thru a hoop in order to get what I need, especially when the temps are hoving around ZERO! UHAUL NEEDS TO FIX THIS! Also.... I shouldn't be required to have my driver's license scanned and/or uploaded into your "system," as well as provide a second point of contact "in case we can't get in touch with you." THAT'S ABSOLUTE BS!Randall H.

She doesnt rush you She listens to your needs and gets you what you need. im storing my mothers things as she has passed away she is VERY thoughtful of how difficult this has been for myself and family. Do you have an award program ? this wonderful young lady certainly deserves one. i feel very comfortable knowing that my mommas things are being looked after by her and her crew. Definitely look for anyway to make money. Was a hour late to drop my uhaul off (8am) and they charged for a whole extra day.
