The staff was professional and courteous, the facility was clean and my specific storage unit was clean.

CHRISSY G.I had a reservation for two hours. Pick up at 9 am. When we arrived at 9 am to the location for pick up, I was informed that the truck I had reserved was scheduled for pick up at 10 am. The representative did not seem apologetic for my inconvenience. I tried to show her my confirmation and she did not seem to care. The truck was due back in less than an hour because someone else was to pick it up. I, like the other customers, was paying for my service, and I still cannot see why my reservation was not respected and theirs was. If I could leave no stars I would. And I will not be using these services anymore.

PERRI M.There's alot you can do first and foremost is hire people with better customer service skills, and problem resolution. Second change the policy to rent a unit. They asked for 3 phone numbers and 3 different address a complete waste of time when in the initial contract signing u can add a clause stating ur property will be appropriated 30 days after failure to pay. Instead of hunting someone down at 3 different addresses. It's a good thing I had booked a second reservation at extra space storage within 8mins over the phone I was moved in no hassle from an inexperienced sales associate. That day that employee let 354.00 walk out the door and I'm sure it's happened multiple times

So we were blocked from having access to our storage unit whenever we needed. Mary at the office desk was extremely rude and disrespectful with us every time. I will never do business again with that U-Haul.

ROSY P.The woman who gave me the truck when I went to rent was rude. I've never gone to pick up a rental before. It's always been my dad. So the fact that I asked her for options and her opinion and Instead told me there are pictures outside really caught me by surprise. She seemed very miserable. Now a days customer service is golden. I feel a job as non complex as hers. She would be more welcoming and willing to help the customers. When I came back to drop the keys off I was very uncomfortable with the thought that the lady might be there. But thankfully it was another lady who was way more helpful.

LARHONDA R.After speaking with General Manager and explaining that I had 2 charges from uhaul he was able to get me to understand that 1 of them was just a temp hold that had been released and not charged twice. Today I check my account and contacted Wells Fargo because now I have overdraft fees and Wells Fargo is saying neither one of those transactions is a hold… they were both processed. I'm a single mother just making ends meet and now my daughter can't have what she needs.

Paula P. | First ImpressionsI was told my reservation was for a 8x12 locker and when I got there the receptionist was standoffish and blunt and all that was available was a 5x7. It was too small for all my belongings but I took it anyway since I had no other options in the moment, I was able to empty the trailer for return but had to haul the other half of my belongings and find another facility. I secured a 10x10 and now I will eventually have to move the first items and make several trips. I would have been better off making my own arrangements. My complaint is that the size unit the was RESERVED for me was no longer available once I got there. This SNAFU snarled everything thereafter. Work on that for better reviews and customer experience.

NAPOLEON T.It was in a bad area. I rented a van but was unable to leave with it because the catalytic converter had been cut when someone was trying to steal it according to the general manager. Instead I had to take a larger size box truckâ€"10 foot. It was very wide and hard to keep in the lane. It also required more gas and for me to stop at waystation‘s why would not of had to in a van. Although I was charged the same as if I had rented the van this was inconvenient. I don't consider this to necessarily be the fault of the manager who was very nice to me and very helpful. It's just that it is located in a bad area with high crime.
Eileen S.Apon pick up of my van, my van was disgustingly dirty inside and out. The customer service attendant said that she didn't have anyone to clean my van, and they didn't have a car wash. I rented my van around 12:40 pm, and I returned the van at 3:45pm. When I got back to the U Hall office, the customer service attendant had already locked the office door, and left the facility to go and take care of her personal business, and she didn't return for 2 hours later. It was 3 customer's including myself standing outside in the hot sun waiting to return their vehicles. Out of 15yrs of renting from U Hall, this was the worst experience I ever had with U Hall. I won't ever use your service again.
TOYONNIE W.I have used uhaul many times over the years and this experience was so bad that it will be the last time I use the service. I reserved a 4x8 trailer a month before my move at the Los Angeles Koreatown Location. On the day I arrived for pick up they did not have it for me and stated I could wait till the following day 7/30/21 from the Hollywood location. Or my other option is to get something bigger, which I refused stating my car couldn't handle hauling a bigger trailer than 4x8. They offered no credit as stated on the website and sent me on my way. Later that day they called saying the trailer came in and to come in asap. I pull up and the Manager Juan is out side. He tells me he will hook it up while I go inside and pay. I go in and when they ring me up its an 1500 for the week. I was confused because the initial quote for for 1000 online. I ask the clerk and her only response is to point to the screen and state that is the price. I agree because I've got to move out and I am on a deadline. I pack everything up and head on the road the next day. I only drive for 3 hrs, making it just out side of Barstow when my car begins smoking and the transmission blows out. Stranded on the side of the road I realize they gave me a 5x8 and the extra weight blew out my car, rendering it useless. I try to get through to roadside assistance but was unable to get through to the following day. When I finally get through I have to pay an additional $4500 for a 10ft truck because my personal vehical is not there problem. So I call around and finally track down a 10ft truck in San Bernadino I get towed there and with the help of roadside assistance. I am told I can make the switch from trailer to truck but when I get there the clerk says they wont accept my trailer and we have to travel even further to Fontana to make the drop off. If it had just been one error I think I would be more understanding, but negligence, poor services and constant confusion between dealers leave a very bad taste.
