No problem with the location. Process was the huge problem: Probably the worst experience ever with U-Haul after all these years. Original order #25178297 made on July 14, 2022 for a truck and auto transport pickup on September 5, 2022. Called to verify we could pickup up both at same location and time all hooked up and ready to go. They said no problem, especially with plenty of advance notice (almost two months heads up). September 4th comes and we get notification of two separate pickups; one for the truck at 9am at one location, one for the auto transport 3hrs later at 12pm at a totally different location. Called to ask for same location, they said no problem; they switched the truck to the same location as the auto transport. We asked what time would be good since the auto transport time given was 12pm. They said 9am was fine because the auto transport was already on location. We arrived at 9am on September 5th and there was no auto transport; they said come back at 12. This totally messed up our whole day with everything we had lined up with rides to get to U-Haul, moving, loading, people lined up to help, getting on the road for travel, etc. Completely blew up our day! Super super frustrating! How can someone say a piece of equipment is on location when it's not???

Great personalities and awesome customer service! Nichole and the other lady I didn't even catch her name, but they both welcomed me with great spirits and genuine care. This was the best uHaul experience even the customers were friendly and helped me unload my truck after they finished their truck. Blessing on Blessing!

There were bed bugs in my original UBox and so they switched the box without updating my information. I eventually moved out because I only needed the UBox for 1-2weeks( I had a temporary move). I informed this location I was loving out on August 13th however I'm now being charged for this month of September and I keep getting the run around with management/employees

I ran into some difficulties with the reservation of my storage unit. I paid for it with the clerk and was given a receipt, but the system didn't recognize my name when I attempted to access the unit a day or so later. Then, after being green-lighted to use the storage unit I paid for, I came with a moving team and a lock had been placed on the unit. It was after hours so no one was available inside to help me. I called the phone number and someone told me they were texting management to make them aware. It was a colossal waste of time and resources because its hard to get help to move and it was a HUGE inconvenience.

Doors to enter storage facility was sometimes broke Doors may open but not close sometime I had to slide with my hands. A few times during business hours the doors we're locked at every entrance. Floors are broken up with missing tiles causing a tripping hazard, trash always in front of doors. Trash heavy in parking lots and trash in the greenery by the wrecked & broke. Down U-Haul trucks. This location could use some attention. Didn't feel safe when I was inside cause doors would not close and the next person entering may not be attentive like me and close the door like I had to do while I was loading or unloading. And with U-Haul as a company they don't care how loyal you've been they don't offer rewards or discounts to loyal customers. Had a storage for over 3 years and couldn't get treated like that. Reserve trucks and auto transport they don't show compassion you can reserve equipment and they not have it then they act as if you're an inconvenience to them then after all the trouble of getting one you'd think they'd work with customer I was having truck trouble after I had to drive further to get an auto transport. I wanted to leave it in the town I took my car to. They said it'll be a wrong destination charge. Never mind U-Haul didn't have my reservation at the time and location that was confirmed then they wouldn't wave the fee for leaving it at another U-Haul facility which they would of done had I checked one way. Meaning it wasn't impossible it was very possible. Next time I get a storage and I will need one for my business I'll pass on U-Haul. Until I see change this is not the company I feel comfortable giving my money to and please train employees on how to talk to customers. Just standing in line I see the interactions. Employees getting mad cause they change policy last minute didn't apologize didn't show empathy nothing but Attitude. Sounds like as long as money is being made U-Haul don't care what's inbetween to get it.

We paid for a furniture dolly but didn't have and the staff couldn't find the key to the truck. My husband didn't know where it was located, they said to the right. We finally found it and there was an advertisement in the window and we removed it. We took our on dolly and pads to the truck. No one offered to help or bring truck up to us which we have experienced at other Uhauls. We have never had this type of service and we had rented from Uhaul our last 5 moves. It would be beneficial to let there manager know to help with the customer service to customers. Gracias

Upon returning my rental I was charged for gas because the person who did the return put the wrong amount of gas on the form. The young lady told me to fill the tank 1/4 and I did as asked. The paperwork shows 1/8 and charged me an extra $22 and change. I'm waiting for a response. Other than this issue the rental was smooth and I will use uhaul in the future unless my concerns fall on deaf ears.

I rent storage buildings, trucks snd trailers on a regular basis. I own a home remodeling business. I need multiple storage buildings in several locations between Tipton and Shelby County to pick up quick items like wood or drywall for jobs. I have asked multiple times to be notified if a 10x15 or 10x10 unit comes open. I saw unit 1123 was empty yesterday and could not get a straight answer as to why I could not rent an empty unit or if there was another available. I already have 2 units, I have had a third one, and I have rented 2 trailers in a month.

The inside of the vehicle was soaked because the windows were left down it rained inside of the vehicle and the seats and cup holders were extremely wet. The vehicle also needed oil and engine maintenance. Nonetheless, it got the job done! The staff at the there were very cool though, and thats always appreciated!

I made a reservation online and added a utility Doyle to my cart. When I went to go pick up the truck they said they had a shortage on Doyle's and they are out. I wish they would of told me that earlier so I could of had the right man power to move my things. I'm a petite old lady that doesn't have much strength so I basically wasted money on a moving truck and couldn't move everything I needed due to NOT having a Doyle I reserved like a week before I even picked up the truck.

Whomever the young lady is that called me about my uhaul was very rude, inconsiderate, and condescending not helpful at all. I hung up and called back to try and start over I asked about the recording to prove I had called and discussed the terms of my agreement i asked could they be requested she left me on hold for about 15 minutes I have the screenshots to prove it and then refuse to answer when I called back several times.

I rented the unit In a rush because I was moving out of town. By the time I was done loading my truck up to bring some stuff over, the office hours were closed, so it was late. I got to my unit and it had the former renter's lock still on it AND one of the foreclosure locks on it as well. I called customer service who reached out to the local manager. The local manager didn't answer so she left him a message. She also sent him an email and told me I would get a follow up. I got 0 follow up. I had to leave town the following morning and would not have time to stop by, so I assumed they would get it handled. Then I got a bill for another month. I went ahead and paid it knowing I would be back In a few days ago I could handle it then. I got in this last Sunday and was able to go by on Monday after work. The previous renter's lock was STILL there, the foreclosure lock was STILL there. So you had a month and a half to fix my access issue and NEVER did. The lady at the desk was nice when I went in though and she got my refund taken care of... she's cool at least.

I've used uhaul for many years but this is the worst experience I have ever had with you all 1st the truck was on EMPTY then I almost had 3 wrecks due to the driver side mirror that wouldn't stop moving I had to keep putting my hand on the mirror to try and see what was on the side on me or to even get over then once I started to load my things on the truck I had to go and purchase BUG SPRAY because the truck had roaches in it and then the ABS light kept coming on as if the brake system was going out I would like to speak with someone on the phone please

The Representative at Austin Peay (short lady with light complexion) location was very rude with the most disrespectful attitude towards customers. Myself and other customers waited outside the store 20 minutes for her to arrive to work. We were all concerned and called Uhaul Headquarters. Obviously they contact her and immediately she popped up. She was very angry about the phone and aggressively kept mentioning to is that someone called on her. She then ask for my information when arriving to desk to check out my reserved truck. Your truck is not available, it was double booked She says. I responded how can that be ,here is my reservation number. She then walked away another 20 minutes outside as all the customers were standing in the store. She came back explained my contract very fast and aggressively,handed the truck keys to me and repeated someone called  on me. I usually don't complain, but UHAUL need to know about people like this representing them. She was working by herself but it's a way to speak to people. This customer service at this location is horrible. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO GO HERE TO ANYINE

Worse experience ever. I rented a truck to go from Memphis to Atlanta. I left home at 3am and didnt maje it to Atlanta until 5pm. The truck wouldn't go over 50mph and it shook and putted the whole way. I was told if i pulled over to wait on assistance that it would be over 4 hours before someone could help me.

Your storage facility due to the lack of security and surveillance cost me 23,000 worth of musical instruments that I cannot replace because some of them are one of a kind no I would never recommend y'all to a friend not only did y'all not help me in this situation I had to take things into my own hands and now your insurance company wants me to provide a incident report that's not my job I can go on and on and you can put my name out there too Joel Booker senior very dissatisfied customer and he also charge me for a month of storage when there's nothing in the unit

My Storage was broken into they 2 flat Screen along with Several other items..and in the beginning they NEVER offered me Insurance...the little girls that worked there called me one morning saying my storage was unsecured and I KNOW WE MADE SURE IT WAS LOCKED THIS WAS AN INSIDE JOB! I reserved a storage unit on Wed. 1/5, went to pay for reserved unit on Fri. 1/7. The unit I reserved was not available so I was sold a more expensive unit. I came back on Fri 1/14 and the access card did not work. My daughter went to inquire and was told the account was closed out that morning. I just paid for the unit only 1 week ago so there was no reason the account should have been closed. I received this email about a move out even though I have only just got the unit.

The saving grace for this location is Derrick Williamson. I spoke to him on Wednesday 1/5 and reserved an 8x10x10 unit for Friday 1/7. When I arrive I am told that there is no 8x10x10 unit available. I was offered a 5x10 or 10x10 even though I had a reservation. I asked if U-haul would honor the reservation price of $79 for a 10x10, but I was told no. I was upset, but Derrick Williamson was amazing. He worked hard to try and find an 8x10 unit and has extremely kind and helpful. Ultimately I have a 10x10 unit for $99 a month which is $20 more than I budgeted to pay. However when given a bitter pill to swallow, kind, helpful employees like Derrick Williamson make it easier. I would only recommend this facility to a friend because of Derrick Williamson. Otherwise my answer to that question would have been no.

Staff was meh. The guy seemed helpful, but the lady who "helped" me acted like she didn't want to be there. I explained I was frustrated bc I had a time with the truck and wanted the storage to be better. She was extremely dismissive and made me call corporate to try and get a bigger storage unit. The size of the truck they attempted to give me was not big enough. Then I get to the storage facility after driving 7 hours to learn the unit is a hallway with a door. My church member bought the 2nd unit bc I was told you didn't combine units and there were no bigger ones available except in a bad neighborhood. I didn't yell or act ugly and the lady just didn't seem like she wanted to help me resolve the issue. I also asked her to check to make sure I didn't get over charged. She stated once I turned in the truck she would be able to see my contract. I did and she gave me a receipt with $0.00 on it and said defer to the original one. I'm asking because I have no idea where it is. I just moved my life to another state in less than 2 days.

Only problems were bc I forgot to slide the handle before I put lock on and gfs movers didn't even put it on, loved the staff, the other tenants and location, got to switch to 24 hr indoor access, or get more outdoor units, hauling that stuff back to 1802 almost gave me a stroke lol, great place!

You need larger flat carts in your storage facilities on austin peay hwy memphis tn to move large items in and out of the inside storage units like sofas and triple dressers etc they will not fit your carts half of your stuff hangs of the cart creating a chance for damage just not a good fit it's a real problem thanks..

The doors to the units weren't locked all the time. Often I didn't have to swipe my card to get in, when no one else was there. Also they didn't honor the free month of rental service that the phone representative said I would get.
