Total complete liars, I called several times to make reservations was told no uhauls available till the middle of July, went down and there and they had the lot full of uhauls asked about them and was told they were â€œreservedâ€ which I've reserved 4 different times. Finally got ahold of corporate cause I was completely fed up and was told there would be THE DAY I NEEDED IT and was able to actually get it. These people are that run this uhaul place are a COMPLETE JOKE.LORIE A.

1. Hire more help, waiting 30-45 min to rent is unacceptable - especially after having reserved said equipment online. 2. When you're an hr late processing a rental, even though the customer was on time, do not act like the equipment was still checked out at the reserved time. 3. Do not openly treat customers as if they are lying, i.e. calling the phone number right in front of them because you don't believe what they are telling you. I have rented from Uhaul multiple times, probably 6-10 times in the last year and this was the first time I've had a Uhaul rep call my number in front of me because they evidently did not believe I was giving them the right info, even though my card, phone and order history was clearly available to them. Also called the number of my emergency contact to â€œmake sureâ€ it was a good number. People have jobs, you can't expect everybody's emergency contact to drop their work and answer the phone to verify the phone number. If that is a requirement then it should be plainly stated to the customer so they can make arrangements for their â€œemergency contact.â€ I will definitely look at other rental companies before choosing Uhaul again.Adam C.
The day of pick up was fine. The drop off day was awful. There's a sign outside that reads something like â€œplease wait here and a representative will be right outsideâ€ . I waited 5 minutes and nobody came out. I went inside to find 3 employees yapping away & bothered by me. No greeting, no smile, no may I help, and to make it worse they were moody.Maritza C.

The other U-Haul location where I had a reservation, EXPEDCO, on S Prairie, Pueblo Co, was a huge disappointment. There was no one there at 1:00PM, my reservation time, to assist me. I called U-Haul. U-Haul reserved a truck for me at the at 4030 Carruth Ct and the service there was outstanding. In my opinion, and I have moved many times over a military career, the EXPEDCO U-Haul should lose their franchise. U-Haul needs to revoke that license.James B.

The location and both agents we interacted with were awesome, as well as cleanliness of the truck. The only thing I'd recommend is to have mechanic run the computer codes to see that everyone the truck would drive over rough or bumpy paved road the engine light would come on and the engine would stall to a crawl and we would have pull to side of the road with little power and turn truck off for about a minute and then it would go back to normal. Very dangerous situation to experience especially on the highway or busy city road.Arron B.

This is not the Uhaul in Pueblos fault. Its is the problem of the Uhaul dispatcher and corporate. When there is scheduling issue don't wait till two days before pick up to cancel a two week reservation. I lost over 8 hours of travel time accrued additional rental cost and additional fuel cost. Due to the the poor planning of the Uhaul dispatching and corporate allowing their web site to over reserve the trucks that don't exist.Melanie S.

Placing the reservation online was convenient and easy. (So I thought until I discovered an unauthorized charge) After completing the online reservation and getting my confirmation; I then went to the Uhaul Store the following day where the storage unit was located to checkin for my unit. The new female employee was pleasant but did not know everything she needed to know to complete the transaction in the proper way. The following morning, I decided to check my credit card and noticed I was charged $10.71 that I did not authorize. I immediately called the Uhaul phone number on the receipt. A male answered and I explained why I was calling, he then transfered me to a corporate customer service area and I was placed on hold for approx. 15 mins. I had to explain again why I was calling to the customer service person who answered. He then said the charge was for a lock. The lock should have been free with move-in Promotion. He said he couldnt help with the disputed charge. He said he would have to transfer me to the dispute dept. He then placed me on hold again for another approx. 20 mins. A female named Amanda answered the call, I had to explain again the reason for my call. She was very pleasant and tried to help but said she did all she could do on her part and would have to have management call me. I received a call from Josh, the Manager at the Pueblo, CO Store. I had to explain the issue again. (Now a 4th time) We talked then he began to argue about the way the rental procedure was handled incorrectly verses who should have did what on their end and my end. After insisting him to remove the charge, Josh then refunded the lock charge. I asked and received a email confirmation on the lock charge refund transaction and told him I would be seeing him shortly. I then drove to the storage store, asked for him and waited until he came to the counter. I told him that I did not feel the situation was handled correctly and I did not want to do business with people that made unauthorized charges to my account. I wished to cancel the agreement. I had not moved in yet. I gave him the unopened lock. I requested a receipt copy of the credit card refund on storage cancelation. He instructed the female at the counter to process. I then left and rented another unit from a competitor who was further away. It was done online and completed within 15 mins, no hassles or unauthorized charges made from new location. Every one is wonderful. Not a fan of the neighbor u-haul. I have only tried 3 but the sample was a 3. Corporate is awesome. It's all they do so very good attention to details and superb help and detail for the paperwork.DIANA O.
Returned the UHaul in Colorado Springs. They said I was supposed to return it to CA! I said wrong. They checked again and said Pueblo. I said no, it was Colorado Springs! We made that arrangement so that we could return the UHaul and put my daughter on a plane in the same town. UHaul would not let me turn in the van in Colorado Springs. They were going to charge me double for returning it to the wrong place! So I drove BACK to Pueblo and turned it in. The Colorado Springs personnel said that the mileage between Colorado Springs and Pueblo would be taken off. Instead, Pueblo said they had not heard the mileage would be removed. They charged me for the mileage between Colorado Springs and Pueblo. That's when I cried.Julie P.

Our initial location pick up site was on 8th Street in Colorado Springs. We did not receive word that our pick up site had changed and those folks really were not helpful or forthcoming with information at all. We called this location twice, spoke with someone who never did tell us whether our trailer was on site or not, finally just gave us the call center number. When we arrived at the 8th St site we were told our pick up site had changed, that they hadn't had a 5x8 trailer on site in months, that we needed to now drive 37 miles to our pick up site AND the man my husband had spoken to was sitting right there....he couldn't have looked out into the parking lot to the two trucks he had on site and told us he didn't have our trailer on site??? Very annoying. We're from Michigan, had already spent a day and a half driving to Colorado and this guy can't tell us our pick up site had changed and now we're driving another almost 80 miles round trip to get our trailer?? My husband and I both work with the public, in healthcare for over 35 years/each....this is not how we treat our customers. Everyone at the new pick up site in Pueblo were very nice, very accommodating, very professional...would highly recommend that site. All I can say about the 8th Street, Colorado Springs site is that I hope the gal behind the window, in front of the computer got to finish her blueberry muffin and I hope the man that answered our calls initially didn't have to field and more calls any time soon.wendy K.
UHaul doesn't have enough 1 way transportation vehicles. I was an absolute nightmare and still was not able to get what I needed. Now I am forced to make a second trip which will cost an additional estimated $1100. This is unacceptable from a business as large as UHaul. There were 8 trucks that was sitting at the location that has not been rented in over a month but was for local rentals only. What a waste of my time and money for myself and UHaul.William J.

When we made the reservation, we specifically said we would be towing our boat. we got the truck home and saw it had a hitch lock on it. When we called the local location we were connected to the call center who told us they would send a message and someone would call us in 1 to 3 business days!. So we had to drive the truck all the way back to the location where the local person said we had to bring our boat over so they could see it. Now how were we to do THAT when we were renting a vehicle to two the boat? the local person said the call center never told them it was to tow anything, but that is a lame excuse for customer service. I am unhappy with U-Haul. March 22nd reserved truck for 9am pick-up in Canon City for April 28th, which would have been about 10 miles from me. 2 days before pickup I was told it would not be available until 3pm. I had already scheduled a crew for 10am to load and unload my belonging. Because I needed a truck for 9am, I had to drive 40 miles to pick one up plus the drive to return it.sandra H.
The 10' truck was excellent. Driving instruction for managing truck was very good. Store only gives customer 3/8 tank of gas; it should be a full tank of gas. I spent $80 to fill tank (over the 3/8), only used 5 gallons so lost money on gas.Kym W.

Most of my issues with the service had to do with billing. Constant price increases with minimal notice. I feel that 4 increases in 3 years was a bit much. The staff at the Carruth Court address in Pueblo, CO are fabulous. George stood out as they helped above and beyond when we were removing our items from storage. It was very hot, our moving helpers canceled, leaving my 13 year old and I to load in the desert heat and sun. George recognized our plight, and stepped in to help. I was suffering from heat stroke so George gave us a place to rest and plenty of cool water to reduce our symptoms. They were life savers..the help i was supposed to have wasnt able to come. They were nice enough to help unload ny grandmas china hutch taking extra care to not let the rain get it. If it wasent for that staff I would be blowing up the bad reviews......but overall UHaul was a mess Had to make 3 different truck rentals all at different locations because they would reserve me a vehicle they didn't have available! And than on top of that was overcharged for accessories. I have waited on hold to talk to someone twice for over 50 mins even tho the wait time said 20 mins. You should let your customers know that you don't have access cards and cannot access storage . I drive 3 hrs one evening to get something out my storage. The main problem I had was with billing. I kept getting emails and letters claiming I was behind in my payments and owed late fees even though I was current and had receipts to prove it. Very hard to get hold of, actually impossible. Manager gives away storage you reserved. Corporate communications are also unavailable. Cancelled my reservation before I even moved in. Gave away my reservation! What! Local manager blamed it on Corporate reservation problems. Not my problem. Moving is stressful enough without a national company giving you the run around!! I was told that I would have GROUND-FLOOR ACCESS I was told that the 1st month's rent was FREE I was told that it was an 8X10X5 I asked if the truck and the storage unit were going to hold all of my furniture and other belongings. Nothing I was told were actually TRUE! I had to scramble to get another storage unit because the Truck AND the storage unit WERE TOO SMALL! Nothing the first representative told me WAS EVEN CLOSE TO THE TRUTH! My family is their friends made trips IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE VEHICLES to help finish my move. I want a full refund for the entire "UHAUL MOVING EXPERIENCES" of one lie and additional Fee after another.
