HOWARD YCommunication was very poor while there computers was down inside of the store. The associates allowed customers to wait over thirty minutes before sharing that information with us then only stated, "I can not give you a U-haul. You will need to get one from a different location." After going to my car to call the movers and try to locate a U-haul on my own, another waiting customer came to tell me if I had cash I could rent a U-haul. Again, the process was a bit much. The actual U-haul associates did not give any verbiage about the rental in regard to it's location on the property or what to do after she gave me the key. She told me the price, gave me the key and pointed in a direction of where the rental may be. It was the most frustrating process I have experienced and I have rented more than once from U-haul. When I finally located the truck across the street, it had a low tire and they told me to use road side assistance because I had been out the office too long anything could have happened. It was quite frustrating.

Nancy FScheduling was not what I thought it should be. I was confirmed for a pickup at a specific time only to be notified I had to go to a different location at a different time. When scheduling a move. Punctuality is important.
ROGER LFor starters, I wasn't told I needed to return the truck on a full tank. It was never mentioned when he asked how many miles my trip would be. So I was under the impression the additional cost of mileage was for the gas used. It was never mentioned, that was my first time renting a uHaul truck. Secondly, I rented an equipment dolly that the location didn't carry. They gave me a smaller dolly that I was unable to use because it wasn't equipped for the job. However, I mentioned it to the salesman yet, I was still charged.

I canceled it based on I was told, and which is ALL WRONG AND REALLY NEEDED THAT UNIT SO NOW IF MY BELONGINGS ARE TAKEN FROM WERE IVE BEEN FORCED TO CHOOSE, IT UHAULS AT PRATTVILLE LOCATIONS FAULT. FALSE ADVERTISING, UNPROFESSIONAL NOT KNOWING AND BEING FAMILIAR WITH THE FINE PRINT AND MISLEADING INFO JUST TO MAKE A SALE OR WHATEVER IS NOT WHAT WE THE CUSTONER IS EXPECTING

Ira KWas able to rent a pickup truck online and then when I get to store there is no pickup available and am told "it is down." Person then rented me a van without telling me it was a van. I was able to make it work but I was disappointed in poor communication
JOSIE JYour employee at the Montgomery Ala location 2333 E South Blvd was extremely helpful. She didn't have the equipment I needed but found it at two nearby locations. She sent me to one location then went to the other location herself and brought the trailer to me at the Prattville location. I missed her name but it started with an A. I wish your company could recognize how impressed I was with her helpfulness in our time of helplessness.

LEMUEL HThey gave me a trailer with a bent axle. I had to swap it out half way through my trip and it cost me 3-4 hours of valuable time. I missed dinner with close friends and over all was a very unpleasant experience. I can provide a video with the noise that the trailer made.

ELIZABETH SHave a full tank of gas in the rental. Then required it to be returned full. I received a vehicle with about 1/4 tank of gas. First stop a gas station. I was told to bring it back with 1/4 tank or I would be charged. It is a lot easier on the customer to return it full if received full. The gas pump stops at full. Trying to determine if you're at 1/4 tank does not work and is not practical. You're getting free gas from your customers. Staff was friendly and polite...thank you for that.

SHARION MI will start with the booking. The team member booked me in front of another customer when there was a unit available without a customer demand. Then informed me that I would be charge $50 if I was past the 1:00 mark. I booked at 1:30 so not 24th. I later called the dispatcher and they moved me to another trailer but still paid for another day. This experience was horrible and created more focus on rental than on the actual job. I will never use this place again and will not recommend. This could easily been a better experience with the initial booking. 1. Provide the customer with the actual booking and fee information. I could have booked rental for 2 days if I knew all the issues I would have to entail. This experience really distracted me the entire day and limited my efficiency and productivity. It's a shame that companies have to use a business model that limit the fee policy information up front to take advantage of the customer and then inform the customer after the fact about the fee policy after their card is on file. Sad

No where is this posted and customer service did not mention this requirement. Upon turning the rental back in, the staff was more interested in chatting to each other than assisting me in checking out in a timely manner.

That truck should've been swapped out yesterday it was the most dangerous Uhaul driving experience I had for three hours last night. I don't want to leave a bad review but that was a bad experience that could've been avoided by swapping me after I brought to y'all attention about the check engine light. Called several times no answer so I contacted uhaul national hotline they swapped reservation to the store at 1221 memorial. I called they answered and confirmed everything was ready. I showed up at 7am Friday morning and the truck was ready to go. Drove 500 mile round trip got back home and the storage build at Ark climate control storage had someone' else's lock on it. I had been paying for it for 3 months but hadn't moved yet. It was late at night and I called the emergency number and the owner said there's nothing I can do I will call you Monday. I called Ms Boggs that morning and she was Ann absolute Angel. She set me up with a storage unit that was perfect and her and her brother helped me unload the truck. I have never received better service from any business than I received yesterday. They were true heroes. Wish I could give 10 stars.

Uhaul noticed this and called me personally. THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! Uhaul actually protects your personal items . Unlike other places that takes your rent and forget about it until rent is due again. They walk the grounds and actively take care of your worldly life in the the unit.

U-Haul has made great improvements since taking over and has maintained the great overall service as when they took over. I was overseas working and every time I called or when I was home and came in they solved whatever was going on with my units. Every interaction with the U-Haul staff has been outstanding and met my expectations. The units are well maintained and the grounds are also very clean. Very professional staff and business!!!!!
