While I might recommend the location and it's people to someone (since customer service there was very good), I would never recommend they use U Haul. The day before my move, I got a call telling me my pick up location had been changed from one five minutes from my house to one 45 minutes from my house. So a 90 minute round trip instead of ten minutes. There was no apology. No one felt the least bit concerned about the massive inconvenience or breach of contract. No offer to reduce my fees. Nothing to make the customer happy. Just a complete bait and switch screw job. Which I understand is simply the u haul business model these days as two people I know subsequently told me similar stories. Classy.James B.

I had a reservation for a 10 Ã- 20 storage unit at this location (reservation #946065-00108333). When I got there, after driving 2 hours with a packed truck, I was told that while I did, in fact, have a reservation, they gave my storage unit away. They did nothing to help me find a new one and I had to find an alternative on my own, making an already stressful situation completely miserable.Rebecca P.

I had a flat tire about two thirds into my trailer rental and had to drive the vehicle i wanted to tow. It took way too long for a response on the 800 number while i was sitting on the side of the road i finally hung up and removed the car and drove it to the destination. i am not happy with the roadside assistance the store was great.KURTRICHARD R.
I made a reservation 2 months ahead of my one way move from VA to PA for a 9AM pickup on a Sunday. The day b4 my pickup I received a text that I couldn't pick up the truck until 4:30PM Sunday which was unacceptable to me. However, I went to the uhaul store at 9:00AM on Sunday and explained my situation, and the employee that waited on me was able to get me the truck at that time so that is why I'm giving it 5 stars.Michael R.

In the past 4 months, I rented from this location 4 times and my truck has always been above average. However, my last rental (#5) was below average. Truck was not cleanedâ€¦oils in driver area, bin area had stains and had a bad smell. Also, the service was not the same. I waited more than normal to rent and a lot of waiting on the return. I reserved the 26ft truck three weeks in advance and when I showed up to get it, the only 26ft truck they had was damaged so I was stuck with a 15ft. We had to make 5 trips and even though they gave us more miles and days, it still wasn't enough.Michael R.

In my professional opinion this establishment is running seamlessly, Cody the manager does an absolutely fantastic job! Also I would really like to shoutout the following people; Jorge,Ronald Anderson,Mike,Kj, Jay,Destiny,Ernesto and Lisa. A team is only as strong as it's weakest link and the chain at this location would be considered unbreakable. To summarize how fond I am of this establishment I would 100% stand behind the fact that this isn't a uhAul but this is THE uhAul, I wouldn't go to a different location even if you paid me to. So I was sent here because my original location ran out of equipment, My appointment was for 8am but they dont open on Sundays until 9am and I was not the only person there with this issue. The place is very tight and full of guys on the street that want to "help" you to move so right away its a giant fight just to park and get to the door. Got the truck and auto trailer all set and went on my way, got a call 2 days! later to ask if I had my trailer because no one ever checked it out. I dont know if this is a U-Haul issue or a depot issue but it was a bit of a cluster. Also the truck with 80k on it shook the whole ride but I guess that's par for the course.Michael W.

The Tuck was issue half tank and when I returned half tank the person want to charge me $12 additionally because he saw it was a little more. After I filled and returned at 4:30 PM 3 and half hors before the truck key was misplace by the employee and as off today my ticket has not been close. It's not my fault but the manager keep my ticket open until they found the truck key. Very unfair and will never recommend this location at all.MAURICIO F.

I find it difficult to drive on the driveway in front of the store. Customers don't park their personal vehicles in the designated spots. Their lazy & stand alongside the driveway. This makes it very difficult to transit your rentals on this narrow, one-lane passage. The store employees need to enforce the "No Standing, No Parking" rules. Maybe create more parking in front of the store - like it was in the past. I ALWAYS end on a positive note...actually "notes" (there's more than one). -The new check-in & check-out procedures using our phones is an excellent idea. -Want to thank Destiny & Michael B. for their great customer service during this transaction.Michael P.

I didn't catch his name but the gentleman (manager on duty I believe) that helped with getting the vehicle towing trailer was more than helpful. From the clerk at the desk to the manager who helped install the trailer, experience was very nice. Reservation for as quickly and easy, trailer pick up and return was very easy. Loading ramp was not connected to the truck. When pulled out it fell on the ground. Was able to load truck but could not install ramp costing me an hour of 3 guys labor. Had ramp loaded on pickup truck for unload and placed in uhaul truck for return. FU.John D.

This was the most efficient rental truck transaction I've ever had. I've rented U Hauls 12-15 times, and this by far, was the best customer experience I've ever had. The interior was clean, the windows were spotless, and everything on the truck worked. Nice job Woodbridge U-Haul! GRGregory R.

I was told that a truck may not be available up to 4 days befor pick-up. I spent countless hours to get truck assigned to Woodbridge. Employee at Woodbridge was excellent, efficient and went out of her way. We picked up a car transport in Lorton and the employee at Lorton was condenscending and dismissive (I put a separate report on this employee- Moving was stressful enough and this was for my special needs son, the Lorton employee was unbelievableAlan T.

We had a guaranteed reservation for an inclosed 5x8 trailer. My husband arrived and they didn't have one. They gave him an open trailer IN THE RAIN. Then there were issues they had to fix on it so he wasn't able to get out of there until late. But they still made him have it back at the original time so we didn't even have it the full time of the rental. They also added the insurance to the rental even though we denied it online, costing us more money. It's ridiculous. And they acted like theyd never heard about the $50 when your trailer isn't available. So we ended up paying way more for a trailer than we couldn't use for half the items because it was raining. We won't be using uhaul any longer. We've used them multiple times in the past but this has gotten out of hand. Don't guarantee equipment you don't have.Mark C.

Listen the staff was very friendly, but it took 45 minutes for this guy to set me up with a unit. I told him i had a free reservation he didn't listen and had to start over. Finally we went out to look for the unit and I knew where the unit was before him but again he didn't listen. Then when i got my unit open there were spider and cobwebs EVERYWHERE..i literally had to wipe it all away with my own broom. Oh not to mention when i got the first unit, and its now dark by the way, I've gotten a quarter of my stuff in the unit already and he comes back out to tell me he gave me the wrong unit.. the experience was trash and made my day last longer than i needed which wasn't cool because I had missed something important due to the nonsense i dealt with at Uhaul. What should have been a 30 min experience turned into almost 2 hours and mind you, i had a 10 foot truck of stuff going into a 5' 10' 5' and again I've been in the moving industry so it didnt take more than 15 or 20 minutes to unload my truck and stack it in the unit.Terence B. | First Impressions

First, we would not have chosen this location, but our options were limited due to the size of truck we were returning (26'). We called on Friday 8/13 to speak with an agent about securing a storage unit, but she stated she did not know if there was availability and did not know how to check if there was availability. She took my name and phone number and said he manager would call back with info. We never got the follow up communication. So I called back Saturday 8/14 to inquire again, and Brandon was helpful and confirmed a 10'x10' unit for us to start Sunday 8/15. We arrived Sunday 8/15 and waited a while to be helped. A young lady with long curly hair and freckles led me up to help me, and took a 5 minute phone call in the middle of helping me. She didn't seem to have a thorough understanding of the system and how to get me into my unit quickly. Finally she gave us an access card and the unit number. When we drove around to the unit, it was in use but closed to the owner for nonpayment. So we go back inside to get another unit. A young, thin gentlemen with braces helped assign us to another unit, which was going to be larger and more expensive since there were no other 10'x10' available. I hen we went over to that unit, it was also in use and closed to the owner for nonpayment. He came around to the unit to meet us and completely shared our frustrations because there were no other available units of any size. He stated his frustration with the assistant manager who is responsible for not letting their system show availability for these types of units. (Sorry for the descriptions, no one on site wore a name tag). We quickly called a Public Storage down the street where a fast, friendly, professional associate got us a unit immediately. Thanks to their assistance, we were able to secure our belongings same day with ZERO HASSLE! The experiences between the two companies was night and day. I am also aware that the manager of this location passed away recently, which we were sorry to hear. I have no doubt the team we encountered was working hard to do the beat they could, given the circumstances. As a customer, i just want to relay that they need more support and assistance right now.
