We came with a full truck to get the storage reservation we made at this location. Initially the store clerk Sasha was kind of rude and what seemed to me short tempered. The reservation had disappeared and our storage unit was being cleaned. Sasha didn't not find a way to help us and told us to go to a different location after we asked her several ways that we could resolve this issue there. Thankfully Tim came in and found a storage place Sasha could not. We didn't get the storage we had reserved but the one Tim found for us served perfectly. The units are in horrible shape... there is crap falling from the ceilings, and water leaks into the unit. The homeless people get in the "secure" area constantly. One of the gates is open all the time. When told about the homeless getting in, the staff just said, "yes, they do that", and "you can call the police if you want", but did nothing about it. The storage facility on Main Street and US19 is over run by homeless people living in the upstairs area of storage building. I witnessed these folks coming in and going out when the gate was opened by myself using my gate code. I was unable to go to my storage unit without being accompanied by another person. When I discussed my concerns with manager "Tim" he told me they were "renting space" and were harmless and if I didn't like it "I could move out"! If these gentlemen were paying customers, as this Tim claimed, then they should have had their own codes and not scurry through the front gate on foot ,when other patrons, like myself, opened the security gate. It was a blatant lie by a manager who has no concerns for woman or paying customers and subjected these paying customers to illegal tenants living in a commercial building, not residential. This comment by Tim was told to me, while I have been paying rent at $170 per month for 3 years. Unacceptable response, poorly managed and unpleasant staff. I was in a bad situation and they went above and beyond to help me. Tim the manager was great... I can't remember the name of the girl who put my info in but she was also very nice. The manager was very professional and gave me a refund immediately with no argument which I appreciated, and thus gave an above average rating. The unit itself was unacceptable for my needs, thus the refund. Overall, this Uhaul store is very nice and has lots of supplies with friendly and helpful staff. They were short on the size unit I would need and the only one they had left was, in my opinion, ideal for outdoor tools like lawnmowers, not for my new recliners, brand new TV, etc. Granted it's an older facility (it's actually the sister location down the street from the main store) and the unit is outdoor and not climate controlled. I should have known better or looked at it first, but it's been about 25 years since I've needed a storage unit though, so it didn't occur to me. The ceiling is in rough shape and the doorway is not a full width roll up, but rather a narrow swing out door and it just looked rough and icky inside, so I told the manager no way would it work for me and my stuff. Reserved a storage room for us 60 days before arrival of U-Boxes, boxes arrive in NPR, Management tells us storage room is not available 2. We set aside a day to clean out U-Boxes, find out we have to wait 90 minutes because no one can make the U-Boxes available to us. 3. 2 days after boxes were cleaned out we receive a phone call that boxes are ready to be delivered to us (See comment on their lack of knowing what is going on)Don M.

Insure they are in the office when they say they are. I had a scheduled time between 1130-1230. It was verified by them in a return call to me. I was told I could return the truck anywhere but after leaving the facility a text was sent to me saying I could only return the truck to one specific location. Was told available at 8:30am, received a confirmation email stating 8:30 am pickup, place didnt even open until 9am....1/2hour wasted on moving day when you have help waiting is extremely annoying. Large slash in tire worried us.CINDI C.

Was forced to buy the $10 insurance, under the claim that it was "policy." I accepted as I thought I had no choice. After going to another U-Haul provider just the other day to rent one again, the desk person said the insurance was 100% optional. I feel very ripped off after being told that it is a requirement, only to learn that it is optional. This is a shady way to increase your sales numbers.JUSTIN C.

The manager,Natasha, was not their when we picked the truck up. The truck was placed, for us, near are storage unit and as they (my wife and son) where loading , my wife, noticed the truck was leaning and ask the attendant if he would check the tires because the truck wasn't sitting right., He said he would, they continue to load the truck (in the rain) about an hour or so he came out and said they would have to put air in the tire so they suggested he check all of them. I returned about an hour after that and was told the same. By this time we have the truck over half way loaded, later he came out again and said we would have to take the truck to another location to have air put in the tire because he wasn't able to, I didn't like it but realize things happen and the other location was very close, we we're close to being done and was tired so we finished and procided to the other location. We get there and we're told that the tire had to be replaced and they have to call road side assistance. By this time I'm very upset because where wet from loading and was under the impression the tire just needed air! Mine you its still raining! I'm thinking why wasn't this noticed prior to us renting the truck( because the tire had a chunk out of it on the side wall). Assuming the repair wouldn't take long, WRONG, about three hours later the tire had been fixed, but by this time my hole family is wet, cold and frustrated because we where to leave that day, in which made me even more upset! We ended up adding another day on our hotel bill and starting off in the morning due to the delays. Also my wife had the second location mark all the damages on the paperwork (which we would not have noticed if we had not been standing in the rain waiting for the road side assistance )because the first location did not mark. Me, not knowing they are suppose to walk around the truck with you and check these things! There was gray tape ,on one side, on the out side of the truck in an L shape and big scraps on the truck. The second location said , "it's a good thing you caught this because you could of been charged for those damages," All I can say is I was very disappointed in the rental process and will not allow my family to go through that again! ! p.s. here's the file #381820DALE S.
Nothing! This was by far the absolute best experience I have ever had with Uhaul. They were attentive and kind, allowed me to park my car in their lot, and were very, very nice. I will recommend them to anyone I know that needs to rent a Uhaul truck.STEPHEN S.
