I called a representative, who made a reservation for me for a 26' truck for 7am. I get there on my moving day, and the facility has no 26' or 20' trucks until after 8:15. Ended up using a 26' with a broken door track that they didn't tell me about until 7:30. There were also multiple other customers who made reservations for vehicles that weren't physically at this location when they got there. Will not be renting uhaul in the future.Daniel W.

The representative assumed I didn't have a credit card, I hope ot wasn't because I was black. I asked, why are you added $60 to my bill. Service is great because the people really care. My only suggestion is to add road noise reduction insulation to the cabs your trucks. I've driven two 15' trucks for 9 hours each time to move my belongings across country. My ears felt like I'd been to a Kiss concert, not Ted Nugent's after each trip. The location we used was on West Plano Road in Plano, TX. They advertised having several appliance dollies available. What they had were hand trucks with straps. These did not provide a base of any length to support a refrigerator. It was a very difficult move because of that. Also, they put pressure on us to return the vehicle by 8:15 pm, when we had rented it at 4:30 PM for an entire day.Michelle P.
The truck needed an alignment and had a hard time starting. Also I had requested and paid for a utility dolly and it was not in the truck so we had to deal with a move without that.Renee R.

I really do need to communicate with managerâ€¦Either text, phone,email due a huge error was made not this Plano location but at the 421 Central Expwy locationâ€¦I had to make these grave adjustments: *Loaders /unloaders movers had be canceled $200 *checked out hotel had a difficult search therefore $200 *daughter is Sickle Cell and had onset of Crisis $$350 All of this and more due to me booking prior April 26th at 4 pm for a May 19th pickupâ€¦ Mr Errol said he did not have the car pull & Maybe later that night he would have one coming in , he cancel my order at his w/o expressing â€¦ that cause me to have to til my bank posted this for the transaction w Mr Eric needing the funds for new order â€¦ This was GRAVELY mishandledâ€¦ I received some compensation but not nearly as much it should've beenâ€¦ Waiting on manager at Plano to offer more of a refund â€¦ when funds were finally put back in there minus $10 & not any explanation what feeâ€¦.Shanequa E.

Trailers to rent are in demand. It was requested of me that I call early on my return day to let the rental location know my time returning the trailer. Wait times for a human was 30â€. Perhaps a message center for estimated return times could help? PS: The staff at the Plano Parkway location are great, even though it is obvious they are short staffed.ROBERT R.

Everything went perfectly smooth. I had rented a trailer online originally, but then changed to a rental cargo van that morning when I came in. Super disappointed that a standard couch did not fit properly in container. We had to put it in diagonally using a strap and wasted space to cushion it. Had a few items damaged in transit. Not sure if I will recommend again. I moved from MD to TX. MD side of things seemed to go a lot smoother with keeping me updated however the original person I talked to for setting up reservation gave incorrect information regarding when the 30 day free storage began which cost me over $350 additional storage fee.Amy O.

Female employee was confused and asked help from everyone making the storage rental agonizing and painful. Return of trailer- waited 10 minutes outside at equipment return, tired of waiting I began to unhitch myself and another truck drives right next to me and an employee pops right out and unhitches him. I guess you guys are really busy but it took more than 30 minutes to get the truck because 1) my reservation was given away right after I confirmed I found it and 2) the dollies weren't ready or available. Since they didn't have the two dollies I reserved, they gave me a retail one to keep so I'm overall happy with the outcome.Louis B.

As of 9/5/2020. Doing business with this company was the worst experience I've ever had unfortunately. I paid for the storage unit 1973. I rented a uhaul truck. I paid movers to put my items in storage unit 1973. After getting to the unit with a truck load of iitems. The worst thing ever, NO ONE REMOVED THE UHAUL COMPANY LOCK. SO, I WAS LOCKED OUT OF USING UNIT 1973 FOR WHICH IT WAS PAID IN FULL WITH THE EXTRA 10.00 FEE TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE UNIT FOR 24 HOURS A DAY. The unit I originally rented was determined by management to be unavailable. Since I was out of town, and not able to move the contents, UHaul employees moved the contents. Unfortunately, the contents were moved to a second story building with no elevator. At the time I was 79 and preparing for hip surgery. I was not advised that this would be the new location. Further, when I returned, the lock had been changed and I was unable to get into my unit. Eventually, the key was found. In addition, the building has no interior signage indicating the location of the second floor units and there is not access from upstairs hallways to other hallways on the second story. Really a sad situation. While the front desk employees were sympathetic, no one offered any help or any apology for what was a major screw up.patricia s. | Overall Experience

I could be mistaken but I believe the GM name was Jordan. He was very helpful, happy and super funny! On 3/6/20 him and the other employee made my moving day bearable and a thousand times better. Also a customer came in about the brakes on the truck, claiming your company was trying to give her a truck with brakes not working. She was OVER THE TOP rude and Jordan still smiled at her and never once became unprofessional with her.
