Make sure the trailers you are renting are in good working condition. On the trailer I rented, the rear rollup door was very hard to move up and down. I am a male, but a women would most likely not be able to move the door. This trailer should be taken out of service immediately and have the door fixed. I did mention this to the employees. I hope you follow through and get the trailer fixed.DAVID V.

Wonderful customer service and friendly staff. They made renting a trailer a breeze. Attached and disconnected themselves and any questions I had where answered. I gave them a call 30mins before arriving and they set me up with my rental unit so that upon my arrival the process was smoother. In and out in less than 5min both at pick-up and return. Possibly an after-hrs electronic touchpad next to the key drop-off box in order to turn equipment in after hrs reliably instead of the mobile app (experienced problem with the Location confirmation in the app). Very good set up thru UHaul.KONSTANTINOS K.

The store was clean and the workers were friendly. But, I reserved a 20 foot truck days in advance. When I arrived there was a 20 foot truck in the lot but I was told there was not a 20 foot truck available. Although I wasn't comfortable driving a 26 foot truck it was my only option. Also, I followed the guide to refill the tank closely. The information I was given instructed me to put more gallons in the tank than were actually used.BRIAN S.

After two emails and 36+ hours stating my concerns, I have had no reply - which is quite disappointing. The unit did not have a lock waiting for us as had been clearly promised on the website, and the huge rat trap inside the unit is unacceptable. I have asked for a different unit - no response. Highly annoyed I was charged full price for a rental that I returned early. Rental was initially for 24 hours but I returned within four. Associate rudely hurried me off saying you'll get an email receipt after I told him I was bringing it back early. Checked email and saw full charge. I will not rent from this location again.KEVIN S.

Approx 2-2.5 weeks prior to my move i RESERVED 2 10x10 storage units at the Plainfield facility, I filled out paperwork and was given some instruction on what to expect. The young man at the counter told me not to come back until the day of my move so my free month would start on that day. June 22 came and the movers and I worked all morning. I got in my car followed by the moving truck. When we got to the facility i was told they did not have my original 2 reservations, only the one I made the day or two prior thinking I needed more space, I was horrified since I had to be out of my house and close on my sale by 6/28. My entire house was in this truck. The movers moved ALL my things into one unit since it was climate controlled. Meanwhile the manager said there was nothing he could do about this situation. He gave me an outiside unit, which I accepted since I had no choice. I will never recommend this facility again. Why take reservations (they had just given mine away) if you aren't going to honor them. I did everything they asked, Moving is stressful enough without this facing you at the end, I did call the national U-Haul office and spoke to Laura in customer service. She was friendly and helpful. She was sending a notice about my complaint to the manager of the Plainfield facility (which I said would do no good since he allready told me there was nothing he could do) and to someone at the U-Haul National offices. Here I was at 73 years old, moving all my things and trusting U-Haul to take care of them, and U-Haul couldn't even keep track of my reservation, let alone honor them. I will now have to hire the movers again to move half of my things out of this unit and into another one that is also climate controlled. I am on social security and this move was very expensive, let alone paying the movers twice. All in all I was handled poorly and am not happy about it.
