When we went to pick up our trailer, we were told we didn't order one from that location. We provided the proof by showing our receipt to confirm our order from this location (with the correct address). We were then told our confirmation and trailer had been moved to another location. I was disappointed because I had made a reservation for a larger unit and the day of my move in was there if that they didn't have it available.. After looking things over they found me a unit but it was smaller than I had reserved.. I was not able to move in all my belongings as was expected.. Truck Reservation # 25705772. Vehicle was having trouble shifting, RPM's would reach over 4000 before shifting. Otherwise experience was excellent. The service rep on 11/30/21@ approx. 6 p.m was pleasant as well as efficient at his job. He came out to assist with the vehicle return as soon as we drove into the facility. Roanoke Tx did an awesome job. The Schererville location was not staffed to meet the needs, the excuse was they did not have enough covers. If it wasn't for the girls who loaded the boxes the experience would have been horrible. The main ubox girl who delivers the boxes is a keeper and most likely under appreciated She should be the one managing the location. She was the only one who staged the boxes when told which ones where next. Initial pickup was called in on Monday, Friday I arrived and was told the manager didn't start until noon to load. At 12:30 when I arrived the boxes were still being loaded. It wasn't until after 1pm I was able to leave. This set me back over half a day while I was taking vacation days. The first two boxes should have been staged on the trailer ready to go the night before or that morning. Not enough covers is not a good enough answer when originally all 8 were supposed to be delivered on Saturday.Steve O.

We had rented a dolly, but were informed that they didn't have one nor did the ever have one. Why were we allowed to rent from this location if the equipment was not available? We had to go buy the dolly we needed locally. The person seemed to be unconcerned that he could not provide the equipment we reserved. Fortunately the local hardware store had one in stock and it wasn't overly expensive. We rented a 26' truck for a local move. Although it seemed to be reasonably well maintained, it seemed to be well used (161,000 miles), and I was a little nervous on whether it would make the trip.John L.

Upon picking up my equipment a uhal representative was in the front office behind the counter on her cell phone she didn't acknowledge me at all she continued her phone call like there was no customers in the building another representative of a young man arrived in the office, I asked him if anyone was working? he said yes I am! I said well why is she just standing there not helping anybody he replied that she was a driver and she didn't work the front counter I still felt that she should have acknowledged me to let me know that someone will be with me shortly but she continued on her cell phone having a personal conversation she didn't acknowledgment me at all ... however when I return my equipment the young lady that checked me in was very professional and made the experience GreatDEANDRE I.

When I was dropping off the van that I rented. I was approached by a woman, and a gentleman. The gentleman looked very high and was eating food while trying to talk to me. I asked him questions that were not answered. And once the woman began talking to me she asked for a payment that was already pulled out of my account. She then proceeded to walk away to grab someone else to talk to me, as the gentleman that was next to me never said a word to me and proceeded to stuff his face with food. Once someone else was brought to me to discuss the matter he proceeded to get upset with me and kept stating that I couldn't comprehend what any of them were saying. After we argued about the payment and how it all worked. The worker stated that all he had to do was press confirm on his work phone so that the process would proceedâ€¦â€¦â€¦â€¦ the whole argument and dissatisfaction put a nasty taste in my mouth with u-haul. I will never ever be back to that location again. Terrible workers, smoking on the job, and blaming customers because they are too high to comprehend the simple task of pressing a single button on their need. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED. This was for pods to be picked up from my home, NOT delivered. So even this is wrong. U-Haul employees could not understand this! I had the pods in my driveway for 4 years. I needed them returned to U-Haul. The phone contacts were nothing but hours and hours of the run around. I was extremely frustrated. I then decided to go face-to-face, which was the same amount of help, "We do not know how to do that." Went to final place, where they said they know how. I explained my run around and needed their help. They supposedly did everything, but they did not..not even close. I am sure they got a chuckle. I called U-Haul again and they had no schedule for pick up. I ended up with weekend woman and she fixed it all. I will never recommend your company to anyone.Cindy C.

I was never given a key for th U box and was never informed there would be a key on there. By the time I moved to Texas and my U box arrived to me, there was apparently nothing that could be done about the lock since I was in Texas and the lock was put on in Indiana. The U haul employees informed me that the only thing I could do was break the lock. I had to go out and buy a $50 bolt cutter just to get my stuff out of th U box. I would have liked a reimbursement for the tool necessary to get in my box. Over all weird experience. 0 stars, would not recommend to any of my friends or familyDarian S.

Taray was wonderful!!!! I enjoyed dealing with him, once I got there. When I first called, I spoke to Courtney. Please, FIRE HER. I could hardly hear he on the phone. I had to ask the questions, to try to get answers back from her. She didnt know what I was asking and did t know how to look stuff up. Thank God, when I did show up, Taray was there to help and process me thru. Once I explained what I was looking for anfld what Courtney was going to rent me, it was all wrong. Taray started the process over and we were out the door, asap. Also, while Taray was helping us, Courtney was helping a customer, in a wheel chair. That man, was very upset with Courtney and decided to leave. Once he left, Courtney had a few smarts remarks, under her breath and moved her hand a certain way, like, who cares that he left. My husband and I just looked at each other and couldn't believe what we saw and heard. Please, if she is not gone yet, and you want to make sure you have customers, she needs to be fired. It was an Exhaust issue with the truck when we picked it up and it worsened as we used it getting louder and louder. When I went to return the truck, the app would not allow me to do the return online and after wasting 15 minutes with support chat, I drop the keys and left and then was charged $20 drop off fee.Jack S.

They over charged us then sent an email out 2 days later that we never returned the truck. When we picked up the truck it had no gas that they told us hopefully it makes it to the gas station if it doesn't call us and will bring some gas. Now I am waiting on my refund. The vehicle smelled awful and it had garbage on the floor. It rained while driving the U-Haul at night and the windshield wipers seemed to be worn because it wasn't wiping the rain off rather smearing it. And lastly, the windshield was very dirty. This location is my last resort when all other U-Hauls aren't able to accommodate. The vehicles are outdated and dirty the last 2 times I rented.Shalanda C.

The young man running things there handled everything very well. There were several people in line when I arrived, and apparently, there was a computer issue that was hindering the employee. He helped everyone with a smile and calmly worked through the group. He deserves kudos for handling what could have been an annoying customer experience.
