Overall it was a good experience. I was able to h pick up and use the vehicles without any issues, it worked well. The two downsides were the unexpected fees being added to my charge that I wasn't aware of until after I had received the receipt. I believe it was additional insurance that I initially op'd out of but was included on my bill. In the future, clarifying this on the website would have been helpful, as we went with U Haul assuming it was would be the most affordable option and ended up paying far more than anticipated. Additionally, we received a call the day after returning the vehicles saying it had not been returned, which was a bit worrisome! This was resolved fairly quickly but made me a bit more hesitant about wanting to rent from here again. Overall, the actual vehicle and service itself was good, but the payment and logistics situations were pretty disappointing.

Location was slow to process people. So there was a 20 minute wait to get to the counter. Otherwise everything was efficient. Also didn't have the dollies I had requested.

I requested a pick up before e counter opened as I needed the van early. When I arrived for Mobile pick up, despite verifying everything the night before, the keys were not in the lock box and the identified uhaul was not my rental. I had to deal with the person at the counter anyway, which delayed my morning and he had no idea what he was doing. He also blamed Uhaul Policies for why he wasn't sure why the keys were in the box, when clearly his job is to make sure these things get done. They also charged me an extra $45 on my bill without explaining what it is for. Terrible, terrible experience and will never return.

Extremely slow. Even though all information for the reservation is submitted online including driver's license and credit card information when arriving at the store they make every customer go through the entire process again. This doubles or triples the amount of time required to get the rental.

Customer service was lack luster, the photos that I was asked to inspect and compare the vehicle to need to be updated as they were of that vehicle when it was brand new, the breaks on the vehicle are very much in need replacement because they would cause the entire vehicle to shake when applied.

The gage on the contact for how many litres to fill the gas tank 3/4 is not clear and was not well explained. I accidentally filled it to a full tank and was told that they did not refund as per the contract. I may go back to U-Haul but it will not be my first choice for my next rental.

After receiving a call that my trailer would be picked up in Gatineau, (I live in Ottawa) I made sure that I was able to drop it off in Ottawa. I specifically explained my situation and the supervisor behind the desk said it's no problem to drop it off in Ottawa. When I arrived to return it at the Coventry location, they said absolutely not and I'll be charged for it being returned. I told them to call the Gatineau location to verify and they said “no I'm not going to that. Next!” As they waived at the next person. Horrible establishment. Terrible customer service and I feel for anyone who has to deal with any issues there

There wad big unfortunate mistake. When specifically asked, my wife and I were told that my QC license was adequate for a 26 ft truck which I consequently reserved and hired 2 experienced moving personnel from an affiliated company. (BTW those two workers Sammy & Kevin were excellent). However on vehicle pickup day, I was declined the 26' vehicle with the explanation that my driver's license did not support the use of that vehicle. Consequently, I had to downgrade to a 20' truck and I was unable to complete my move as planned. The lady that misspoke was otherwise courteous and professional and we're sure the mistske was unintentional. But a big and expensive mistake it was.

Start paying attention to customer service? I had a van booked for 10 AM. I arrive to pick it up at 5 PM and was informed my reservation was cancelled because I was late. Zero attempt to contact me was made. So far as I'm concerned, that van is reserved from the time my reservation starts to when it ends. When I made the booking I was not sure what time I'd be available to pick up so I made the reservation early knowing that I could pick it up any time that day. If you're going to cancel a reservation, you call. If you're strict on pickup times, you make that clear.

All the employees were wonderful and very helpful. I was very undecided about size if vehicle rental. They helped me with measurements and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. They were right on the money. My only problem and it's not a problem lol was there were dirty socks in my van. 濫LOL! Great experience!

The equipment that was used had rusted mechanical issues with tie down straps very hard to secure. When ask to switch to a better unit that was better maintained and less issues was denied and had to use what was given. Made allowing the switch may make for better ratings.

My original pick up location was Russell, but they switched my pick up location to another region, putting me hours behind schedule. At the new pickuo location, after checking in, no one came to assist us with picking out our trailer. We had to pick it out ourselves and approach the cleaners for the trailer plug and they helped us with the pick up process.

This was not the location I picked to drop off the vehicle either, the scheduled place I chose refused to accept the vehicle thereby making me travel further to this location only to be hassled about fuel levels. Overall I would not recommend Uhual to anyone after this pickup and drop off bad experiences I won't return as a customer.

Representative helping me was too busy chatting with the other employees, showing them photos of her kid. Trailer had lots of garbage in it (nothing gross, just papers/cardboard and packing tape). Drop off location had no idea how to take in a return, luckily a uHaul rep WAS IN THE STORE! If not for that total coincidence, it would have been worse.

Even tho we did all the check-in online ahead of time, we had to wait 20+ minutes in the office to get paperwork done. The 12x6 trailer we had ordered 20 hrs before was still behind several others and so we had to wait for this too. Why bother doing everything ahead of time!!!! I was trying to do an online check in but then went inside the store and the gentlemen i aide helped me complete the process faster and sorted out everything quickly. He also helped me get the equipment ai needed for less money as compared to the listed prices in the app. On return, the process was also very smooth and took about 5 minutes. The guys were friendly

Why do I have to resister, reserve, supply credit card information, so a pile of work to rent a trailer, just to arrive and repeat the entire process? What you are telling me is that my time reserving a trailer is worthless. What you are telling me is that I should look harder for friends to borrow their trailer and avoid Uhaul. Uhaul has excellent trailers. And besides the rental process is excellent. But the process to rent a trailer is more out of Soviet Russia than a modern western corporation. This location is excellent, the staff happy and helpful in everything except when they have to deal with your IT systems. If anything brings them down, it is corporate IT.

I would not recommend that anyone use the internal units at this facility. My unit flooded three times in the 10 months I had the unit. And in the very heavy rains the water went all the way through the facility. I ended up putting all my stuff up on risers and planned to get out as soon as I could. Having said that, the staff were always helpful and contacted us as soon as it happened.

1- The door was really hard to close and lock, lots of rust. 2- Water infiltration : 3 boxes were soaked and mold had built up inside - nothing really damaged since it was dishes boxes 3- Accessing the storage was complicated and not convenient : pick-up the key inside only during office hours, trucks parked in front of storage (most of the time it was not possible to backup to load and download)

Unprofessional stuff. Ruined my move into a new home. Picked up truck at 6:30pm explained I'm going to furniture store to get sofa and I'm coming back to get my stuff from the storage and I specifically asked if I'm ok to access the storage after 7pm closing time and I was told that's fine. On my big surprise I couldn't access the storage cuz they put a second lock that I didn't have a key for. Had to turn around and leave plus send home friends that came to help. Next morning I asked manager Ben again why is this happening. His answer was there's no access to the storage after 7pm....the evening before he said opposite. So dear u haul you lost me as a customer forever.

Terrible office and access hours, could not move in the first day I arrived because they close at 7pm not allowing anyone who works a job to get there in time. I arrived at 630pm and was told there was not enough time to unload before closing, so I had to put an additional 30Km on the rental truck to come back the following day. When I did check in on the 2nd attempt I was forced to buy a lock from U-Haul any way to get more money I guess,

We did not move into the facility and found storage elsewhere. The staff member at the desk was the most horrific example of "customer service " I have ever seen. He was mocking other customers while I was in line waiting, he was rude, he was just generally the worst example of retail interaction we have ever seen. We cancelled everything and left.

I will never recommend Uhaul Storage to anyone and have reported you to the Better Business Bureau and have thoroughly detailed the fraudulent business pertaining to your insurance coverage. I have been told this is not an isolated incident and that this is entrenched in how Uhaul conducts themselves. I am the Director of Communications for a $15 Billion CPG company and will also be reaching out to my national media contacts across Canada to share my story in hopes that I can save someone else from renting through Uhaul and save them from thousands of dollars in damages, too. On top of not properly maintaining the drainage system at the facility, Uhaul does nothing to mitigate vermin and instead just traps the ones they find, does not dispose of their carcasses, and does not care that they run rampant across the storage facility. Just an absolutely horrendous experience from start to finish.

The experience was awful, I couldn't get to store my stuff for two days. I had to keep the truck in a parking for 2 additional days then go to another storage company. You have a great truck rental service, I was expecting similar with the storage service.

Moving out was very stressful given the fact that the parking lot was a mess. To make matters worse my brother and I were asked to push some uhaul units out of the way by hand in the rain. Lineup inside was really long and nif moving. I would never use uhaul ever again. I have friends that have stored with Dymon storage and they are extremely happy with everything across the board. I truly wish I would have had a much better experience.

Reserved a dolly for my move then was informed that they rented it out to somebody else. Was told they are rented first-come-first-served, regardless of reservation, which utterly defeats the purpose.

I enjoyed my experience at U-Haul. The storage unit kep my things dry and clean. My storage was in the basement so it wasn't always practical to get into the storage unit sometimes the clerk was busy

Please update your point of sale card readers to accept chips. Using machines that only swipe cards triggers fraud alerts for TD Bank since most Canadian businesses use swipe-only card readers.

I am appalled by what's happened to my personal belongings at this storage facility. 75% of my items (most valuable!) were bitten into and damaged by mice urine and feces. Missing basic pest control!
