I think uhaul's policy of not recommending a tow dolly pulled by a f150 with a tow package is ridiculous. Only needed to tow a compact car. But hey anything to force the customer to pay for a larger trailer for a bigger payday. The people were friendly and all but if I had had more time to look around for an actual tow dolly I would have. I will remember not to contact uhaul if I'm in need of another dolly. I guess I'll need a big truck in order to rent one. Oh by the way.. I have pulled a dolly using a trailblazer with no issues.TROY S.

They were busy. They lied and said they would be open they weren't there. They have an automatic answer service for the people who want to be annoyed. The staff change hands le people change their underwear,which I honestly people do aleast once a day. So as a result know know anyone and they don't communicate. The customer service line is rude. If you are hiring people to fill a position as in just another body because staffing is low please train... even if it's at night.. when the store is closed . Which you should have on the door for customers. Specific Closing times. Holiday hrs and don't te people your open 24 7 if we are going to have to cl the costumer service anyway. 1. Please allow the customer to try to have a voice on pickup location. - I ended up having the wait 24hrs for a call for a location I told them is quite a drive they told me that's all they had. then to drive 20min to get a trucker that location. Then when I ended up calling my desired location (osgood) I asked if I could have that same truck as requested truck now & they said yes they had a few- waste of multiple people's times. 2. Military discount. Confusing for so many different people - from online chat room staff, to different location staff. 3. Slightly confusing direction with drop off location- the rep on the phone was very nice but needed the address of the location I was to drop off at. Ideally for me as the customer I would have liked to tell her where I was & then the rep could tell me the closest location vs me trying to look it up. 4. amazing trucks & products!!!! Was so pleased with the truck & it's ride!!! Was confused by the sticker saying to fold blankets inside the truck when we didn't get any. 5. The lady at osgood who checked me out the uhaul was GREAT! I was in a bad mood & didn't have much patience & she was kind, understanding & calm. She had to cancel & redo my order but didn't give me any grief about it Overall good experienceTHETA L.

Automatic Pick up didn't work because the employee never put the key into the key box, so I had to wait an hour and 30 minutes before somebody showed up to open up the store. Had to call the main line of U-Haul, to have the general managers come down and open up the store because there was nobody there. Once we got the truck, used it, brought it back. Open returning the truck, I thought everything was OK. Then come to find out I was double charged! I went back to U-Haul and the general manger reverse the charges. I looked on my account it showed that in deed my charges have been reversed on Wednesday the 27th . Now I check my account the next day Thursday the 28th and I was double charged again! this is absolutely ridiculous! Now my account is overdrawn and I am charged $33 of overdraft fees! This is got to be the worst experience I've ever had with U-Haul! I don't know if this is cause of the U-Haul store or the company! But I am going to be reimbursed not only for these double charges, but for my overdraft fees as well!Richard P.

The truck I was rented (26-foot) had a terrible vibration problem. It was almost completely un-drivable, yet when I returned to the facility I was told that an exchange could only be done by calling "Roadside Assistance," even though I was standing right there in the office. I did, and was put on hold for more than 20 minutes, until I had to hang up. In the end, I was forced to use the truck, and the only concession U-Haul gave was to reduce my per-mile rate from a weekend to weekday rate. Despite my best efforts to exchange and report the problem I was forced to use malfunctioning equipment and U-Haul charged me for the privilege.GARY N.

The main door has some issue to put my code to get in. The staff came to help me put the code and it still did not work. Had to run to the side door to put the code to check in. I changed a storage unit from an outside one to an inside climate control one. When I checked out the outside one, they deleted my both units. But when they added me the inside climate control one, the Asian lady asked me to pay again for the mistake her coworker did. And she told me because it was not done by her and by her coworker. My experience here at this store was like no other I've ever had, I'm still blown away the gal that was working went above and beyond. I was renting a trailer for a couple hours it was $14 all I had was cash so I needed the $60 deposit well I went back to my vehicle and managed to scrape together enough to pay for it she was extremely respectful and wasn't rude at all she asked me if she could ask me a question without sounding mean and I looked at her before she could even ask and said yes I'm broke I need this trailer to move my tool box so I can start a new job, she got all the paper work done and I was counting the money and she said keep it don't worry I'll cover it, she went out to her vehicle got her wallet and paid for it!!! I'm not the type of person to take for lack of a better word a â€œhand outâ€ but at this particular time I was in the worst financial place I've ever been and I have 4 kids, I really regret not getting her name and letting her know how appreciated she was , U-haul I would highly recommend giving her some sort of recognization she deserves it! Reserved a storage unit online and was charges for the lock during this time. Only to find out someone else reserved the unit just ahead of me leaving me with a trailer rental but no storage. Then I had to argue with the girl about getting my refund on the lock. BTW Harbour Freight sells the same lock for almost half the priceCINDY S.

A young woman with the last name of Urbach helped us one day and another gentleman with long brown hair and a gentle vibe helped up the next. They truly made a difference in our day! Over the last month, we have used your trucks on 3 separate occasions and always used the app to check in and check out. This time, the app screwed up and we had to go inside. â€¦ we will be using this location and going inside from now on. Those two deserve a raise. Uhaul was fine, The Uhaul movers Leo Dempsey came to our house and criticized us for having cat hair in the couch and said it was disgusting. He stayed on his phone, was lazy and complained and wanted us to rent another uhaul for the next day at around 12:30 pm he just started with his 3 guys at 8:20, his 4th guy left early in the afternoon and he wanted to charge us for 12 hours and 4 guys. They took long breaks and an hour and a half lunch that they wanted to be paid 200.00 per hour for 11 They wanted to put all the boxes in garage. My wife was there for most of this and the one guy said he was going to sue her and said his back was hurting. The guy that left early kept asking my wife to give her my daughters guitar amplifier. I was there for some of it and I have to say that it was a very bad experience. $1800.00 for the day. I probably won't use Uhaul movers ever again. The lady helping us was very friendly, but was unable to answer 90% of our questions. She kept saying "I don't know, this is all very confusing" - even when simply asking about the sizes of units available. We were never explained how anything worked - luckily we rented a unit here 3 years ago. Never took a new credit card or asked for updated information. Bret Hanson, the manager for this location, is very oriented on customer satisfaction. The vibe in the facility is friendly and cheerful which is complemented by the large amount of natural light in the office area. Some storage facilities are just bleak. This one is the opposite. Quite pleasant. Irrespective of Bret's management, this new facility is quite user friendly with only a single issue identified. The only changes I would recommend are adding a canopy over the loading dock area, and re-configuring the loading dock entrance to include a second set of automatic doors. This arrangement is present at many newer grocery stores and it minimizes the dust that gets into the building and has a.great impact on minimizing heated air in the winter and conditioned air in the summer. The day I moved into the facility was absurdly windy (as Fargo sometimes is) and the single automatic door at the end of the afternoon was rendered inoperable by a fierce wind from the south that blew directly on the south facing doors.Jerrold J. | First Impressions
