I find it interesting that the survey only addresses the location. My guess is that you are not interested in the overall experience. Here we go anyway: - Having your handcart and moving blankets on board was not appreciated they got in the way and took up space. - The driver's seat was soaked because the door had not been shut completely and there had been a driving rain. This is understandable because the door is defective and hard to close. - There is a problem with the transmission which makes it difficult to switch out of reverse. - I did not appreciate being informed of a cleaning fee via a placard on the wallâ€¦not that it was going to need it. - When I rent a truck, I expect to have it for 24 hours. Your website needs to be more clear about the 6hour default of default to 24 hours.DANIEL MICHAEL H.

I made my reservation a week in advance for a pickup location that was within walking distance of my house. The morning of they switched my reservation to another location further away which added more of a cost to me. When I called they couldn't really give me a straight answer. Please note that the specific truck I requested at the mobile pickup spot down the street the truck did not move from its spot all day and has not moved for over a week now. No compensation was offered for the added miles or the general inconvenience. I have had issues with your company in the past but thought I would try again. You have lost me as a customer and I am sure to tell people to avoid using your company when asked.MARKJ C.
I was charged 5 gallons of gas (at $5 a gallon) for driving 29 miles. What a way to rip off customers, give them a horrible view of your company and never want to come back.Rosanne S.

The Manager seemed to have a God Complex but the associate who booked my trailer was very helpful but lacked overall knowledge of correct booking procedures . I did get A trailer and all went well so I can not really complain ! Except for Manager's attitude !CARL L P.

Girl at desk refused to allow me to run my bank card which is credit and debit because it had the word debit on it. I have used this card previously at this location. I had to drive home 20 minutes one way, to get a credit card that I did not want to use. I returned and the other guy behind the counter said I could use any card I wanted. I retrieved my chariot of moving this past Thursday from the Orchard Park location. Upon arrival to the well-maintained, neat and tidy location I was greeted by Norman. Norman had a certain effervescence that made the whole facility gleam. Norm's inviting voice was one that could only rival Delilah or John Tesh - with this alone I knew that I had made the correct choice in U-Haul. I could not be more satisfied with my experience. Andrew the manager was professional and well put together, something you don't seem to see with the other rental guys. Andrew guided me through the whole rental process and then lead me to my 15 foot chariot. Outside, his customer service skills shined the most going as far as opening the door for me. This was actually somehow worse than every other experience with uhaul. It's unimaginable how you offer such a great business but have the absolute worst employees on the planet. It rivals the USPS to be honest. From the customer service line all the way up to the managers Teresa and Todd, it is absolutely tragic. I contacted you guys last time to no avail as well. I cancelled the last transaction with you guys from my bank it was so bad. May do the same again.MAX C.

A better equipped phone answering service would be nice. Called 3 different times throughout UHaul business hrs and had a 30 min wait time which after 50 mins and 1 hr I recieved the impression the phone wasn't going to be answered and hung up. Called toward end of business hrs and it was still 30 min wait, so didn't even bother holding. Sad that being able to talk to a person on the phone about a question you can't get answered on the web is pretty much non existant with large companies in this day and age.JENNIFER S.

I would say that the first individual that I spoke with seemed angry and disappointed that he had to be at work. It almost seemed like every individual that was there when I picked up the vehicle hated the fact that they had to get up in the morning and work for uhaul. Completely different experience when I brought the vehicle back to uhaul, there were two representatives working when I brought it back and they were pleasant to work with and had great attitudes.Thomas T.

My order was double booked at my initial order, then transferred to this store which ended up being double booked. I had to wait 2 hours past my original request time for my U-Haul. Upon attempting to complete the online checkout, the app failed to recognize the photo I was taking for the odometer/gas reading after several attempts. I called uhaul to tell them of the issues but was disconnected twice by the 800 number. Thank God I don't need to move again anytime soon. But next time I do, I won't be using U-Haul. Awful. The in person reps were nice but they too were frustrated with the reservation system errors.David L.

The gentleman I dealt with at the counter was not very friendly. He made me feel that I was less important than any other customer because I am a young female. He tried to up sell me a storage unit that was 5 times the size of the one I reserve and state that was my option or I would have to get one at a different location over an hour from my house in Niagara Falls. This was my third time get a truck from this location and never had a problem. I understand it was 7 am on a Saturday but it is moving season and uhaul is busy but if you can give good customer service, you should be in customer service .NYKEISHA KATHRYN M.

The main thing is to get more friendly staff. I've never been to a establishment with more rude of workers especially at the north fort myers location. Just because they are all mad that they are working they make you feel like such a nuisance even tho I paid an absurd amount of money for the service. Ship the container when it say to the customer. And ship the container to the location that it says on the invoice, not one that's 30 minutes away from where it was suppose to be. Only half a tank of fuel. The employees were not helpful at all. A man vacuuming inside the store pulled the vacuum and the cord caught me behind the knee, which actually hurt. I was shocked! Is this how they do business? Also I returned the truck with the prompts on the app, WHICH I WAS TEXTED AND EMAILED TO USE, but the employee was angry at me for doing that and let me know he was. I've never seen worse customer service anywhere!Timothy T.

When I booked on the website, I chose a specific pickup/dropoff location that would have the truck I needed and be along my route, yet when I received the confirmation e-mail the next day it blithely included that I would need to go to a different location. Also, I told the website TWICE that I did not want any extras (a dolly, packing blankets, etc), yet when I got the truck home both were in the cargo space, zip-tied to the wall with a promise that I'd get charged if I used them. I needed every square inch of room in the back of that truck, and I'm insulted that some of the cargo space I PAID FOR was taken up with what was essentially an advertisement.THOMAS M N.

The people at this location were really nice. The truck could have used a good vacuum cleaning prior to us renting it but stuff happens!! My issue isn't with this location at all, my issue is with your customer service department. When I made this reservation I did so on with your customer service agent who assured me that this could all be done at your Genesee street location and then not more than two hours later, another customer service agent calls me and states that your company didn't have the truck or the car hauler at all and then during that same conversation she managed to find one at your Orchard Park, NY location. When we picked the truck and trailer up from Orchard Park we were informed that the reason we were unable to rent them locally is because " people from our area rent these trucks and never return them" and yet your company does nothing to track these vehicles, your company does nothing to punish the people doing this because apparently it's easier to insinuate that black people are the problem. The truth of the matter is there are a lot of things your company can do to prevent these things from happening and maybe instead of pointing the finger at an entire race of people of whom only a few are actually guilty, you should put things into practice like holding the primary renter of these vehicles accountable.MARK C J.

It's sad that even people that want to work can't give you a customer experience you deserve. I brought my truck back, parked it in the designated area that has a huge sign that says "Stop", wait here for the attendant to come out and service. I wait 5 minutes, as I can see one U-Haul person looking at me through the window...Never comes out.. I go in and ask if I should still wait out there and the person says, no we can take care of you at the counter...Maybe they should have come out and said that. And prior to that, I re-fueled the truck per my agreement. I put 6 gallons of gas in a truck that I went 18 miles in.. I tell the female U-Haul rep this expecting a credit and she was oblivious or ignorant to what I was telling her. My expectation would be a credit for the truck not being filled when I took it. Your after hours drop off sign should say to go on the app before depositing the keys in the night drop box. I dropped the keys in my the box and afterwards went on the app. I couldn't upload the photos I took of the odometer and gas gauge on the app, which was also frustrating. The service rep also could have told me to go on the app before dropping the keys when I asked where the drop box was. Other than the return, everything was fine.GEORGEEDWARD K.

It was a convenient drop off. However, both the manager and employee spent 10 minutes talking to a customer who, by the way, was trying to find out how to GUARANTEE a Uhaul pick up rental. This did not require two employees. When I was finally waited on, I asked for a printed receipt of return and was told he couldn't get one for a half hour and I didn't need that anyway.JOHN EDWARD M.

So far, so good. Just moved in!! Pleasing and approachable staff. Good location, hours, security and parking . Clean and dry (not damp) inside storage area. A service elevator would be nice to access second floor areas and a little better lighting inside the cubicals, but neither are necessary. The rental price is comparable to another facility I checked out but I found this a better facility. I give this place a thumbs up.Wayne D. | First Impressions
We rented an upper 10x10 and a lower 15x10 unit. We were NOT told that the upper unit had a huge roof support beam running through the unit. When we checked in, we asked for another unit without a beam. We were told they only had smaller units available without the beam.
