I never interacted with any staff at any time during my rental period. The gates going into the lot have been broken multiple times in the last 12 months. My unit and 2nd floor was always clean

Tracey F. | Overall ExperienceI would give an advice about the storage unit size 3x4 is way on top that I been struggling lift my heavy containers plus does not fix other containers. Meaning I will give some advice to friends about the size as I would recommend them use 5x5 especially size 3x4 is perfect for two containers or filing containers, also I put comfort blanket and the fan. But I did not realize it was way too high for me plus had pain my left shoulder that I had trouble lift it on top of storage unit. However, I will change size from 3x4 to 5x5 for me and it would be more easier for me to have 5x5 where I don’t have to lift my heavy containers… Thank you

Ada F. | Online Move InMost of the storage facilities offer heavy duty doilies that are for the customers to use and return to the point where the might belong. But at this facility in Ocala, Florida, you don't have that kind of service for the customers a bit inconvenient because I was counting with that and I ended carrieing every box and hurt myself doing this because I had no other choice . Very inconvenient for me and probably for more other customers. Thanks.

david C.Somewhere on the location put contactless service self serve on our app or web portal. I waited for a long time for an employee to arrive before I finally called and found out that this was a self-serve location. Sometimes I have the tendency to not pay attention to some details so I could have been told through the app or during my check out of my truck but I must have overlooked it again. It's my fault, but it would've been a lot helpful if it said it somewhere on the location. There's some pretty crayons out there, but not all of them are bright. Haha

When you schedule some one s unit. Send them to the other office 1st if it's a Monday. That was frustrating. I last time and gas. :(

The only reason I would hesitate to use a u haul facility again is that it iS EXTREMELY difficult to make contact by phone. Waiting 45 minutes for a call back is unreasonable. After finally getting through, getting to the right person is confusing and difficult.

Nia S.I booked a climate controlled unit and paid for it and everything before they realized that it was occupied and that there were no other climate controlled units available. I was forced to take a non climate controlled unit (albeit given one month free for their error). Because I was in a rush I had no choice but to take it and now my items are in a hot storage facility. I am not happy about this at all. I give two stars instead of one because at least she gave me a month off due to their error. The unit also was not well lit

Richard S. | First ImpressionsI chose this location because when I made the reservation online, this location would be open. Well, it was closed, so we had to do the online check in. That was a nightmare, because they had our account mixed up with another. We spent an hour on the phone with them trying to straighten it out. To make matters worse, our rental truck was parked in a way that was blocking another customers truck, which they could not move until we got ours out of the parking lot. If that wasn't enough, we had also ordered moving blankets, a furniture dolly, and a hand truck, which were NOT in the truck. I had to drive the rental across town in order to get those items. While at this location, I realized I did not have the LoadSafe insurance on the vehicle. I wanted to add it, but was told you only have an hour after the vehicle was picked up. All and all, I wasted about 3 hours of my time, which could have been spent loading the truck. Not to mention the 15 - 20 miles it cost me to get the items. When we unloaded the vehicle we had noticed some of the boxes by the one corner we're destroyed by water because the truck had leaked. But I guess nothing will be replaced because we did not have the insurance.

We spent all morning trying to get the gate code and even was on the phone with Uhaul's help line and all of that, said he would put notes that we were trying for over two hours to return the trailer, someone finally opened the gate for us while on the phone with him and we still got charged an extra $20 for late fee when it was not our fault the system wouldn't let us pull up our order to return it. Probably enough to make me not ever want to use Uhaul again because of it.

Marissa M.The pick up location in Ocala was changed from 2 min from my house to 20 minutes and was terrible. First issue was when I clicked on address provided in confirmation text it took me to a dangerous neighborhood (I did not feel safe and was worried for my mother and myself), NOT the U-Haul location. I then manually searched the location on internet and eventually figured out where to go (40 min later). Next issue is the vehicle was never rinsed or washed after last use so the windshield was covered in bugs so bad I couldn't see through it. I told the woman working counter and asked for a hose to rinse. The woman's reply was “use the windshield wipers.†The wipers just smeared the dead bugs and still couldn't see, the woman then realized she had to drive around back to rinse off. Next, I am given a truck with 1/2 tank of gas. Well I am not sure how much gas my trip is going to need so naturally I fill it up. $80 to fill 1/2 tank of gas. I only ended up using 1/4. So I paid $40 of unnecessary gas. The truck should have been filled and then I simply replaced the used gas. Lastly, due to all the listed above I spent $40+ unnecessarily. It added 1.5 hours to trip and a lot more driving. I was stressed from being lost and 1.5 hours late, upset about having to stop and get gas and paying mire money then needed. I have moved many times using U-Haul, this was by far my worst experience. I would not recommend that Ocala U-Haul location to an enemy never the less a friend.

Mini-storage was very clean with a fresh rodent poison trap. Rv spot was easy to parallel park the rig. Was difficult to first find the entry to the facility. GPS was confusing. Second time in was just fine knowing what streets to take. All in all very pleased.
