Uhaul as a whole is very disorganized. I had to fight with different reps to get my locker and my drop off location at the same location without being charged $2000 extra. The lock i was told to buy was the wrong one for the locker so I was forced to buy a second lock. Not sure why I cannot use the lock i originally purchased.Jared M. | Overall Experience

Checking in, the attendant could have explained things (she didn't explain about the pre-auth to the credit card so for a bit I thought I was charged twice, how to locate the vehicle or what number to reference and where it would be on the vehicle, I walked out very confused and wandered for 15 minutes before asking for help) and been more detailed where the vehicle was located. I believe it would be great customer service to have someone take the customer to the vehicle and answer any questions, and assist with finding it so we are not wandering around alone in the dark (like I was until asked the cleaner to assist me, she was amazing). My vehicle was also no where near any other vehicle and was all alone â€œat the backâ€ - I was a lone female after dark picking up and was just sent off on my own. Made a reservation a month in advance. The truck had been loaned out to someone else when we got there. The staff was unusually unhelpful and argumentative. Make sure any perks you get are included in your actual contract. Have a tendency to deny at time if payment. Not impressed. But the storage facility was great!!Linda D. | First Impressions

A few ideas for you. 1) Focus on getting customers in their trucks when the line-up in the morning is long. 2) Clean the truck of all prior renter's garbage. 3) Have my pre-ordered truck close to the office with pre-ordered blankets already in it. I had to walk 10 minutes to find my truck at the back of the parking lot and it was parked so close to another vehicle that I had to enter by the passenger door.JOHN P.

service rep started off friendly, started to ask questions for clarification and then the attitude came out, poor directions for where the Van is located, where they park them they look like they are out of service or waiting to be serviced, upon returning the Van they just wanted to email me my bill without checking the van or even telling me my total that would be billed to my CC, had to insist for him to process the return now and give me a printed copy of my full bill and the amount i was being charged . also the fact that they are now very user friendly for those who don't use technology, everything is done electronically, assuming everyone uses this method .NADINE L.

Staff that is not on their phone when a customer walks in and continuning to be on their phone while a transaction is being made. Additionally I would like to know why I was charged 64$ twice for a 4 hours rental with out any explanation..TAHA F.
I just had a wee bit of difficulty finding the drop box for the key. N I left my password for uhaul at home so I couldn't do the proper online â€˜truck return' notice. It would be nice to just have a micro-chip in the key tag that would register that key was dropped into the box. Thank you.Wendy S.

My truck reservation was not guaranteed- they had no truck available for me when I showed up to my location and no alternative vehicle. Apparently someone put diesel in the gas truck which rendered it useless. This happened in the afternoon the day before, however no one thought to call me the day of learning this or the day of my pick-up to tell me that my reservation might change, instead they waited until I arrived which meant I had no time to call other locations/companies for a pick up. During my time at the branch, there was a minimum of three other customer's whose rental truck reservations had been â€œlostâ€ and not guaranteed. It was not a pretty picture. The return of vehicle process was a lot after a long day. Taking photos, uploading etc seemed like I was working for uhaul :) At first I couldn't get into my account and when I called the helpline it said it would be a 64 minute wait. I was alone in an isolated area and wasn't going to wait an hour but eventually I got in.Karen S.

When picking up trailer employees where very helpful and connected trailer to my truck for me. They also assisted with taillight checks. When I returned the equipment late at night, yard was well lit and employee followed up with me the next day to make sure that everything went well. Very professional and courteous employees. Lower cost to allow one way drop off. Was quoted $300 to leave a trailer in an alternate town, but only $20 if dropping off in town - this gap is too great. Had it been $100, I would see that being more reasonable. As it was, I had to make an extra return trip after being very tired from moving. I would have easily spent $100 for the convenience of dropping off out of town, but balked at $300. Recognizing the complexity of ever changing inventory, I think there is an opportunity to address this.JEFFERSON R.

Hi... The service at this facility was exceptional. Access to the storage units are easy. The office staff was very friendly and efficient and check in was very fast and clear. During the move, we realized that the storage unit was too small for all of our stuff. I asked the staff for help and they were right on it. Please update UHaul website for Canadian customers. As I am a Canadian customer, and was viewing a local location in Canada to make my reservation, it's frustrating that the some currency amounts on website are stated in US dollars, and distances in miles per hour vs. kilometres per hour which is used in Canada. It would be far more helpful for Canadian customers, viewing a location online in Canada, to have everything in both Canadian dollars and kilometres per hour instead of miles per hour. This will help with the booking, and estimating costs of the rental.MATT B.

There was no dolly in my truck, either I had to drive back and pay mileage and lose the spot I had for the moving truck or drive a car by vintage sports car to pick up the dolly because my daily driver was left on site. I was told that I would not be charged for the dolly and I was. I've been constant repeat business over the past year and I currently have a 10x10 for the last year in the climate controlled building, if this is how you treat regular paying customers I hate to see how you treat the occasional customer. I lost 45 minutes out of the move yesterday and the rental person that helped me rude and sort of useless!Andrew D.

I have had issues with location since February 2021. The manager tends to mismanage every aspect of storage and truck rentals. Lorilee (I think) she has never properly introduced herself. She has poor customer service skills, will not accept that she has made an error and blames the customer. I have used uhaul at this location for 20+ years with a great working relationship. Since the management change everything has failed. I have been locked out of my unit due to her error with my payment, my daughter was denied access, my unit was locked by her and my access code was disabled because she did not read the date on the email stating I would be moving out in two weeks, but the transaction for money went thru. She also cut my personal lock off which meant I could not access the unit with my belongings but the key holder (Lorilee) could, what happened to personal privacy and how am I suppose trust my things are safe. I received no emails or phone calls or messages stating any problems with my account and to top it off the truck I had rented and secured well in advance was not there on my move out day. This caused more stress and higher costs to me. My movers had to make multiple trips and ran out of time so alone I had to move the last load. Lorilee promised to adjust my bill but her words are of no value because shortly after I received my receipt with the full amount charged. Due to her lack of professionalism and poor customer service skills she cost me an extra $200 to my movers who were very understanding and helpful. Everyone knows moving is hard with a successful team working together and when one careless individual causes errors with no concern for others makes me believe she is not working in the appropriate line of work. On a better note, the employee working along side the manager was apologetic, polite, welcoming and understanding. He deserves so much because he was cleaning up her messes.KAREN H.

There was no one there to hook up my trailer I did my best thought it was done properly but although they took a picture they didn't check. On the highway the trailer jumped off the trailer hitch and it swerved very badly and luckily I was able to control it. I was in the middle of the highway. All cars stopped and I was able to get it back on without causing damage or creating an accident. Very scary and disappointing !!JEROME C.

I didn't realize I had to check in at the front. All communication says "gate" which there isn't. So I drove to my unit and out in my code - the pad said I hadn't checked in. I walked (from the far end of the compound) to the front and a very helpful person explained the process to me. My only thing that wasn't perfect was the difference between my online experience and the counter. I spent some time double checking things with live chat and felt that since I spent more then an hour double checking my reservation I would just go to the counter and double check again and be on my way. The excellent employee spent a lot of time going over the things that I had already went over, since I didn't bring my computer I diidn't have quick answers to every single question, all i wanted was to get what I had spent the time reserving. After 45 minutes of questions I got the rental, if the reservation email had the instruction to bring all those questions i would have, I don't get why I was reminded to bring some info and not all the required inf. I had to take a call as that process was ridicuously long, and the person left me to explain another customers bill. That other customer was being rude and boy I felt those rude urges in me since my online work was pointless. Assuming I didn't do that online work I would say what a great team and building, there was an annoying customer in the building and the team kept there composure and was great with me and my helper, she gave me my first months rent free, I like how they get along with each other and me and my friend, they walked with me to show the keypad which i would have had to gone back and ask for help, all around they are pros and I will come back for the next move..
