I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was working when I picked up and dropped off my rental was the absolute bestâ€"notably more thorough and organized than every other u-haul employee I've ever interacted with (I have a storage unit at another location and have been a uhaul-er my whole life). It was very difficult to return the vehicle. The online system wasn't working and kept logging me out instantly when I tried to log in. we waited on hold for the support team for over 20 minutes and even then they weren't able to guarantee that we wouldn't be charged a convenience fee if we submitted the photos through them. It was cold and rainy and we had to wait outside for almost an hour so as not to be charged $20 for returning the vehicle.Erin S.

The poor worker was spread thin as butter on toast and then disgruntled customers were yelling at her for things that were clearly out of her control (like other people not returning a truck on time.) The general manager with the red hair and red lipstick failed to put the dollies in the back of the truck, after she had already confirmed with me that she was putting them in the back of the truck. It completely wasted our time and defeated the purpose of renting the U-Haul. It was a waste of $60. Due to extreme weather, windshield was not cleaned very well and wiper fluid did not dispense.JAY F.
Truck was covered in ice and only started up 30 minutes after we checked in (desk woman was very nice but obviously picking up the manager's pieces constantly with phone complaints being called in while we were there.) The very rude manager listed the gas meter as 3/4 full. We came back in to tell her it was only half full and that she kept telling us to go to the wrong truck (whose gas tank also was only half full.) She told us she'd update the system. We return the truck with 1/2 tank of gas, she charges me $49 dollars for gas (which is even higher than the fee listed if you don't fill the tank.) I call to complain and have to run through a story reminding everyone of the rude exchange- I suppose the rudeness did me a favor because then the (non manager) women on the phone was like oh I remember that now. I ask to wait on hold while she contacts another department for a refund. I'll supposedly have that in 5 business days. This has all the hallmarks of a scam though. I don't know if this is more of an independent contractor situation but I bet this woman lists the tanks as having far more gas in order to get the extra charge out of very stressed, busy people in the middle of moving who she hopes won't check their credit card charges right afterwards. Needles to say I'll be going to another dealer next time.ADRIEN M.

The U-HALL APP experience was so-so. this could be improved from a logic stand-point. It was VERY confusing for a technical person to follow the instructions on the screen. It would have been helpful to: have the payment method done in advance (like when I registered I had to put in my payment info) the APP takes you to the point of thinking you are getting the key, at the locks THEN you have no idea what the combination to the lock is, then once you get to that screen you are not sure what to do, finally after clicking around, and moving forward I had to re-enter ALL my info in all over again (very frustrating, especially when time is short) Finally..... once I re-enter and submit the payment info, I was given the code to the lock. I feel the payment can be done at home BEFORE the trip to the location, and re-arrange the APP so it makes more logical sense, that would improve the experience even more.Craig V.

Sheri was rude and unprofessional the second I walked into her office and after I left. She should not be working in front of customers if that is the same attitude everyone gets. In a stressful time of moving, her tone, energy, body language, attitude, etc. did not make the time less stressful. If you're working in front of customers, you should be happy to be there and not sound miserable. I came in at 10am and the truck I reserved was on the lot but I had misplaced my ID. After a short and rude conversation of about 4 words from Sheri,I told her I would be right back. When I came back 15 minutes later, she had given away the truck I reserved to the people literally in the office as I walked in. She said I was late so I lost my truck. She knew I was coming back and still gave away the truck I reserved. Now, I am charged the larger truck rate that I didn't ask for because of Sheri's incompetence and unpleasantness. I would like some kind of compensation for that because I was not at all pleased with my experience with Sheri. I have rented from Uhaul before and that was just not how Uhaul have treated me before. Also, I get it Sheri, the gas tank has to be 1/4 when I come back. I filled it to 1/2. Hope your fucking happy Sheri.JaeYoung J.

I got 9X10 storage unit from U-Haul at Oakland, Pittsburgh,PA. The U-Haul facility was great. Easy to access, flat trolley and mattress trolley were available and free to use. I like the trolley with three wheels made very easy to move between the deck edge and the uhaul truck. Uhaul made moving and storage fun and comfortable. UHaul Self-Storage saved us when we moved out of our rented townhouse and into a smaller apartment. We didn't realize we needed a storage unit until we couldn't fit any more boxes in our new apartment in the middle of our move. With only a few hours left before we needed to turn the keys over to our landlord, we were able to secure the unit, get the keys, and move our stuff in! It was great. The only negative comment I have was that the advertising was misleading. I thought we got a free first month with our UHaul rental, but that was only for those going one-way... I think? Online completion of turning a reservation into an actual paid unit was complicated, however once I called the office and spoke with Sheri, she was able to provide the necessary information to complete the transaction and was extremely helpful. 7000.00 dollars worth of furniture flooded with mice and mice poo. No concept of insurance for this type of damage was ever explained or posted. I had no idea I needed to be covered for this type of problem in a indoor facility. The manager (Sherri) was always rude. She Recommended a truck for refrigerator pick up, truck was wrong size she still charged full price and that was just the beginning of a very bad situation. Early COVID there was no mask mandate at facility one Sherri, the manager and staff quoted they didn't need mask because "she a had Jesus on her side, Sherri says she worked every day and had no symptoms as reason for no mask. Only to end business relationship with all my furniture covered in mice poo, and dead mice. Mice still moving in my bags. After a year or so being there. The staff were outstanding. There was a young man (Calvin?)there when I first applied for rental of the locker. He was very helpful, courteous, and professional, a real asset to the store. This is our third time using this location and we hare very happy with the process except this year the new security codes were started and I did not know the code needed to be used during regular business hours. We initially entered after hours and had not problems with the code process but the next day during business hours we entered the building without entering the code and alarms went off when we opened our unit. I understand the situation (lots of college students needing last minute storage rentals) was intense, but the manager was less than enthusiastic to be there. She moved literally like a snail & while she was friendly enough, yawned several times (almost exaggerated) without covering her mouth. I found this quite inappropriate. The older woman walking around offering help was wonderful! Extremely friendly & helpful. Overall experience was very good & I would continue to rent here, due to convenience & cleanliness.
