Great customer service.
RICHARD DThe Mexican girl that works in the front needs more customer service training. She doesn't greet the customer when they come in, she doesn't acknowledge you when you're in line.

JAMES WI had encounters with 5 branches trying to get a trailer to help a friend move. The first was further north, where I originally made my reservation. The place was abandoned. No one answered the phone. The second, third and fourth places were all helpful in eventually getting me to the person in the area who could attach the lights etc. for my trip. All of my encounters were pleasant, and though it was a circuitous route to what I needed, each person helped in ernest and was friendly, for which I'm grateful. I didn't realize that you only had a few people to do the lights for trailers, that was the basic problem. But thanks for getting me on the road with my friend's stuff!

Rented 15ft box truck contract states full vehicle visual full start truck allow 5min warm up look at fuel already down from "F" we drive off 1 block at light fuel looks like it's been 25 min in Truck literally 20min fuel mark looks like a 10mile trip truck sounded like it wanted to shut off and something kept engaging like as if it was air conditioner but wasn't put alot of fuel in truck with obviously needs a Tune up we hoped it would get to point A an B overall uhaul trucks are Reliable

DION BGas tank was listed higher on paper than the actual amount in the tank. Inside of truck had overwhelming smell of smoke that made it uncomfortable . I paid for a dolly and there was none inside the truck(which I didn't even realize until I arrived at my destination) which made my move considerably more difficult. Steering wheel and drivetrain was very loose making it difficult to steer and dangerous on the expressway. Radio did not work. Upon returning I was made to stand outside in the freezing cold for 15 minutes while the employee checked the vehicle only to be told that "you know what you don't even need to be here, I'm going to email all of this to you". Employees at this location were very unfriendly and cold as if they did not want to be there. An overall unsatisfactory experience. I will definitely not be returning to this location and most likely not be a Uhaul customer again. The shape of the vehicle was not good and worries me about future customers safety. I doubt this will even be read or followed up on based on the totality of my experience.

KAMIL DFuel was low, fuel reimbursement was preset and not adequate. Truck battery died after a few minutes with flashers on.
DERRICK MI am extremely disappointed with my experience at this location as they have an employee or employees committing illegal actions with customer credit card numbers. There were two instances where my card was charged WITHOUT my permission and I was NOT in autopay. I contacted the GM, Quentin, and spoke with him directly both times. The second time he gave me a month's free rent for my troubles but it just didn't make me feel comfortable knowing someone who worked there processed payments without my permission. All employees have access to customer credit card information and that's scary, especially considering what happened to me. This is illegal. I truly hope no one else encounters this.

Linda TPulled up to the return and the female instructed me to drop the trailer off where I picked it up. I stated I never been to this location and she stated just drive around the lot and put the trailer by the others. I pulled up and then the employees sitting in a vehicle between two trucks using drugs (the smell of marijuana and all the smoke) told me not to drop the trailer there. I told them where should I put it then and they said not where I was parked. I asked if they could show me, instead of just sitting there and getting high and the three of them decided to argue with me. After some choice language back and forth and some empty threats from the employees, I decided to take the trailer off and the first female employee told me to just leave it where I had stopped after she walked up to where I was. I had to disconnect the trailer myself and when I informed her of the other employees interaction with me, she stated "oh". The drop off location at 8900 south Cicero was a horrible experience and I will never return to this location.

CARLOS OHad no problems leaving the cicero location. The next morning the lights on the trailer did not turn on, the fuse for the lights connection had blowen. Removed the extension cable from the trailer and plugged stright into trailer, no other issues. I Let the south plaza trail location know of the issue.
COREY JHow is possible that my account was overdraft ! and you don't notice the cargo van on your LOT. was return 7:00 P.M. same date 11/17/2024 and the keys in the drop box. we also confirm it with a phone call that night., we have picture and proof. never got a return call from - manager clint Jaylink..... I'm very upset over this, you continued to charge my car til 11/22/2024 its unreal...check you videos and your keys and whats on your lot. before charging account...Its the right thing to do, move from your seat...Sincerely Your Marilyn Astudillo
MARILYN AThe lady at the desk was half paying attention to us as she was too busy on her phone. However, the gentleman who help me hook up the auto transport and secure the vehicle to the auto transport was phenomenal! He was extremely nice, helpful, understanding, and I couldn't thank him enough for everything.
MICAH OI went back to this location because I had previously had a good experience. The customer service was horrible. I asked for a vehicle that could be returned to another site. I was told this wasn't available. The vehicle smelled of Marijuana and other concerns.
KIMIKO WThey have a manager name Ryan thee most horrible human being never you find in your life - bad for business and bad for community-also big liar-have no manner and doesn't like his job complete miserable in his life that's why he like to torture people around him. - if you are there customer I truly recommend to move your stuff to another storage facility and release yourself- it wasn't just me that had not just one time but couple a time horrible situation-i also was witnessed for others-dear all just either don't go to that location or if you see him ,leave and come back another time or simply move your stuff out to somewhere else. God be with all of you that you have to deal with this unprofessional uhaul location amen

JAY PThere was an incident with door in the loading area and we had to have the manager come in after hours. The manager that arrived was extremely hostile and aggressive. He smelled of alcohol and marijuana and seemed to be intoxicated.He kept telling us how we had screwed up his night and he was in the middle of partying and had several events to attend. He kept demanding that we pay him $3000 (not U-Haul ) up front without providing any invoice or documents. When I advised him that his request did not sound legitimate he threatened physical violence towards me and my sisters. The entire situation regarding his demeanor was very threatening and intimidating. I have never been so afraid in my life. I would NEVER rent from U-Haul ever again or recommend their facilities. The person that assisted sounded more like a gang thug, then a manager! And I will be filing a formal complaint.

HAYTHAM MI just did not know that I supposed to take a picture of my identification and send it to you and I told the lady that was helping me and so she took a picture of my drivers license with her phone and now I feel uncomfortable because now she have my license in her phone and I hope that she doesn’t keep it because I don’t want identity stolen so can you all please ask her to remove my license from her phone asap thank you

Annie C | First ImpressionsGirl processing my rental could be more customer friendly. She is the wrong person for that job. People handling the return were equally bad. I hate this location. Lots of bad attitude. I needed to repair/adjust one of the safety chains because it was rubbing on a tire.
Thomas EAvoid the Alsip location. I went there to reserve the 4' x 8' trailer. A manager walked a new guy through the process of reserving and setting up my trailer pick up for a one way cross country trip. They quoted me at $44 a day; I needed 3 days. I was sent to Oak Lawn to pick up. They informed me the price was VERY wrong, it would be $405 for 5 days as a flat rate. I was justifiably put off as I expected to pay $273 dollars less for the rental at that point. The Oak Lawn guys were friendly and professional (as were Alsip guys, truly). But that is a solid mistake.

Because another door would move from general vibration. I touched a door with the moving stairs and the alarm blared! I walked into my unit which was above a unit and the alarm blared! Other than that everything was what we needed.

JAMES Q | Overall ExperienceHelpful but extremely rude. I do not understand why a storage facility has storage units let alone large units where you have to walk up about 10 steps. There is a storage unit right near the stairs that could be eliminated to have an elevator of some kind installed. Then the lights being on a timer is a big headache. If you're in your unit for too the lights will go out & you'd have to walk out into the walkway so the sensor can pickup your motion to turn itself back on. Just a very bad experience even tho they were rudely helpful.

The staff is very friendly, and the location and units are spotless. However, my recent experience was less than satisfactory. The rental expenses exceeded the initial online quote. Moreover, the storage unit I had reserved was unavailable, and the truck I rented exhibited faulty headlights, with even the high beams failing to function effectively.

I was assured the lock wouldn't be an issue. I had to leave my belongings because we unloaded and I wasn't going to load the truck again and go home with everything. I only had help for yesterday, it wasn't possible for me to go back the next day.

As previously mentioned, I have used U-Haul in the past and I have called on their service to date, because the experience is excellent. I appreciate that their storage units are inside the buildings as opposed to some other storage facilities, thereby eliminating being in weather elements (rain/sub-zero temps/blizzard/blazing heat) when accessing items. I will definitely recommend U-Haul to those seeking storage and/or rental of trucks and vans for their moving needs!

The uhaul on 1300 Wilson Ave, National City, CA 91950 was EXTREMELY HELPFUL with installation of my hitch & renting a trailer. When I made to Chicagoland area, the U-Haul staff at 8900 S Cicero Ave, Oak Lawn, IL 60453 were EXTREMELY HELPFUL and went over and beyond by staying a little later to get my storage and trailer drop off established! The corporate phone operators were EXTREMELY HELPFUL as well!! They went over and beyond to get me connected to other U-Hauls for my trailer drop off & storage setup. If it wasn't for U-Haul my move/road-trip back to Chicago might have not been possible.
