Rented a car hauler. All 4 tires were near the end of life. Took hauler home at noon, after work began to start loading and noticed tire was low at 5 pm, Called center and repair service, replacement was finished at 1am the following morning. Should probably replace tires earlier in maintenance cycle. Very sketchy 1 good tire and 3 near bald driving in rainâ€¦JEFFREY B.

The website is not accurate. It offered free storage with truck rental and said there was available storage units you can reserve online, but the actual location said the website isn't accurate and they had no available units. I wasn't able to utilize the special with no other options.CHRISTA P.

The Pgh location had us dropping off in a dangerous area that was not the Sinclair Rd location which we had asked for. The 18 St location was not well-lit and had no visible drop box. We could not check in after hours as it was not picking up my location. So we were forced to drop it off at the Sinclair location that we had originally asked for and had a smooth return. Unfortunately this added to our mileage after we had put gas in the truck causing us to be charged a few extra dollars.TIMOTHY S.

Girl who took my payment rude. No service skills. Guys behind the counter immature and giggling it was not crowded I was the only one there there's horrible horrible experience and then when I returned the vehicle the app did not work so I charged me extra I had two other people with me with iPhones the app was not working I tried for a half hour and the manager assistant manager when I called the next day was rude to he tried to say they were busy the phone was not ringing I was the only one in the store at that time on Friday, September 24 every time I tried to call they would say hold and not even listen to me. This happened all week you can never get through they always put you on hold no matter when you call a bunch of lazy immature people work thereCONSTANCE G.

I've used this location several times. This most recent time I drove 22 miles, when I was done I put 3 gallons of gas in there and the needle was back where I started but still got charged an extra $9.50 surcharge for two more gallons. This will be the last time I use this location for my Uhaul needs.CRAIG W.

When I arrived at the facility I was told the trailer I reserved was not there. They told me the customer who had it, did not return when he was supposed to. They called another facility and they only had a larger trailer which they told me I could have at the same price as the smaller trailer I had reserved. They stepped up and made a bad situation good. The 9' Cargo van was perfect for us. Since it was the first of the month, I felt extremely lucky to find one available at the Sinclair Rd location. We had enough time to complete the move without a lot of pressure to hurry. If I ever need to do this again, I will definitely go back to this location.JAMES C.

1. I reserved the UHaul at one location then got a call that I had to go across town to get the vehicle I needed/wanted. When I mentioned the inconvenience, the caller said, well that's up to youâ€¦do you want the vehicle or nor? 2. The across town pick up instead of where I asked more than doubled my mileage cost. 3. Given the amount of miles vs how much fuel the truck, no way the tank was completely full. It too 11.75 gallons to go ~80 miles, mostly on the highways around Columbus. I should have taken a snapshot of the gauge when I picked up the van, however, given the 4 hour window plus extra driving I now had to do, I didn't checkâ€¦I just accepted their word. 4. Knowing I had additional driving to do, I asked for additional time on the van. No, they are reserved, yours needs to be back on time. Yet, when I returned, admittedly 15 minutes late, there were three other cargo vans on the lot. 7. I must find an alternative to uHaul. By the time I paid for a $19.95 per day van, I spent nearly $150 in fuel, mileage, and other fees. Shame on me for being the sucker. I was half way to the cost of two men and a truck and I wouldn't have had to do the work! Never againâ€¦DANIEL B.
Service was great, the store was clean. However there are 5 other U-Haul locations closer to my house, but none had the trailer size I needed on that day. It would have been great for you to transfer it to my desired closer location. I ended up with a 2 day rental because we had to drive so far to get it.Theodore O.

The Truck was dirty in the cab. It stunk! Horrible smoke smell. I sprayed Lysol and that helped but people should be fined for smoking/cleaning fee. The Truck drove really well and wasn't any problem towing the car.Lia D.

This is a great location for pickup. Easy on and off of Interstate 71. The large parking lot makes it easy to maneuver trucks and trailers. Staff were friendly and efficient and had me on my way in no time!SHANE R.

The General Manager of this store that was working around 2pm on Friday 8/20 had quite possibly the worst attitude I've ever dealt with. Not to mention, the truck broke down after only driving 10 miles. I picked the truck up in the morning and moved all my stuff in. I drive about a mile down the road and the truck breaks down (I get it, these things happen). I have to wait for a mechanic to come out and he couldn't fix it. He asked me if the trailer had anything in it, but I was taking it back to return it. He said ok, then we won't send another truck over here for you to take. So I ubered back to my car at the Uhaul place (wasn't reimbursed). At this point, I'm just ready to pay and leave because it costed me 3 extra hours of my busy moving day. I walk into the place and explained the situation to the general manager. Before I even explained the situation she had a terrible attitude. She said, we can't do anything until you bring the truck back. I explained to her multiple times that I can't bring a truck back that is being towed. She didn't want to listen in the slightest. This was a very frustrating situation, especially after moving all morning and being treated poorly by an employee. I get that trucks break down because I am in that industry for work, but the general manager showed a lack of motivation to solve my situation. She needs to be put into a role that more suits her attitude problems. A general manager is supposed to be a problem solver and leader. The only thing she is leading other employees to is a lack of knowledge on tackling problems.Danny L.

The loading area for the ground floor is very inconvenient. The cars back up in one line and we have to wait for each other to finish moving in order to back out. When we went to access the storage unit, an additional lock had been placed on the unit. I had to walk back upstairs to find someone to remove it with the explanation being that their system wasn't accurate with which units were already rented, so they added locks to all of them.(?????) My only complaint was the access to the first level where my storage unit is located. There is one steep drive down to the entrance. We made 3 trips and each time we were either blocked in by someone else or we were blocking someone in. Made reservation online; upon arrive it was not available and only 1 unit half the size of my minimum requirements was made available. Additional charges from move-in truck promised to be comped but had to fight to get them to hold up their own promises; still not credited. Beware of this location! The staff was friendly and helpful and the facility was very nice & clean. However, the location didn't have the unit size I had reserved weeks in advance. They offered a larger unit with one free month, but this still resulted in a higher cost for me. So, I would end up paying for the company's failure. Due to my time constraints, I went ahead with the rental, in spite pf the additional cost. But while being shown my rented unit, I asked for the access code and was told that the unit was accessible only during business hours. This meant closing at 8:00pm, rather than the 10:00pm advertised online. This made the unit useless to me, as it wouldn't work with my schedule. Consequently, I had to find another storage facility and incur additional costs, not to mention wasting more time. All this due to U-haul's failure to provide the reserved product and honor the advertised hours. While the staff was friendly and the facility well maintained, U-haul failed the basics: providing the advertised product. No amount of friendliness can compensate for misleading advertisement.arturo s. | First Impressions
