Upon arrival my reservation was changed, they did not have a 15 foot truck, my reservation time was changed even though I had a confirmation email. Although I only agreed to a change pickup my drop off was also changed to this new location.
Tyler V.The U-Box experience with UHaul was a miserable experience. I was completing a coast-to-coast move and was using one U-Box to do so. On arrival to this site the representative was unfriendly and unhelpful in finding my box. After filling my box I checked in with the rep at this site and a customer service rep to ensure I was all set for the move and was told I had nothing else to do. I then logged in a few days later to see if I could get a tracking number for my box when I saw that my order was cancelled without reason or notification. My stuff was all still at the site but because of this cancellation on UHaul's part (for which I still have not been given a reason for why it happened) my box arrived over a week later than it was supposed to, leaving me with no furniture and limited clothing and supplies in my new apartment. I was promised a refund for each day late the box arrived but had to reach out AGAIN to get the refund and was only refunded half of what I was promised. After spending many hours over several days and being tossed from one customer service rep to the next I gave up. Extremely frustrated that all these issues occurred and I was not given an explanation or properly compensated for my troubles. Will never be using this service again and would not recommend to others.

You charged me and extra $550 because I had to travel during a time when NY was in a state of emergency and could not take the predetermined and travel path and mileage you determined due to all the road closures and flooding. We had to go hours out of our way to avoid the impacts from this storm. The lack of help from the personnel at the returning site was ridiculous and, in my opinion, if your executives knew that this is the way you handled customers, they would be extremely embarrassed. Way to profit on mother natural and take advantage of other people's misfortunes. I would not rent from this company or deal with this location.

Paul M.You guys are the reason I don't own a truck! I rarely have a need for one, but when I do I can always count on you to have a truck or van clean, well maintained and ready to go! I really like the Nothborough location, even though it's a bit further than other U-Haul locations I prefer it as easy to get to, has a wide open parking lot and plenty of rentals. Excellent staff too.

Was hard to have a conversation and he seemed generally annoyed when he told me to back the trailer into a spot there was no way my truck could swing and there were other easier places to back into. I'm hoping maybe he was just having a bad day or something.

Xavier R.Location of key drop isn't clearly signed. It's a massive location and it takes some navigating to find the key drop tucked away around a corner. I arrived at 7:03 (three minutes after closing) and the staff didn't do much to help me find the drop box.

Doris Y.When I arrive, the computer system was down in the staff was belligerent with the general manager who is trying to do her best. There's no systems in place for when the computers go down so there's a lot of angry customers. The general manager was all over it and doing her best to make sure everybody got what they needed but her staff was belligerent and swearing and very unprofessional, they were two staff with her one was an older woman who was belligerent, refusing to do work in openly, complaining and swearing, another was a middle-age man who appeared to be drunk or on drugs my vehicle was mechanically not safe and not clean but I was in a situation where I needed a vehicle right away. I feel bad for the general manager. I believe her name is Christina as she seems to be doing everything and everything she did was very good. The other two staff are trash so I would fire in a heartbeat if they worked for me.

Philip Z.Pickup was fine although I am always a bit disappointed at the amount of time and steps needed to get the van especially since I do all the reservation online prior. I don't fault the staff person as they went as quick as possible but all the steps they must follow seems a bit too much given the pre reservation. At drop off I don't know if staffing was limited but I waited in the van at the drop off area as the sign said to do for several minutes and finally gave a beep. I finally left the van to walk into the registration area and a worker was standing on the lawn smoking a cigarette. They said they would take the key and send an email saying it was all returned. Maybe it was their break and I understand short staffing but it did seem as though service wasn't the top priority.

Shirly E.The truck I rented did not have working A/C, and it happened to be the hottest day of the summer so far. I didn't realize it wasn't working, or it stopped working about two miles into the trip. I tried to contact the local site and it forwarded me to the national number and put me on hold while they tried to call the site unsuccessfully. Eventually I reached the local site, the agent said a) since I had already left, they would have to close the rental and start a new rental and b) they didn't have any other 10' trucks available. I know there were at least six 10' trucks parked at the site when I dropped off the truck. I don't understand first, how a truck with no working a/c be allowed to be rented. second, even if they a/c stopped working right after I left the lot, why wouldn't Uhaul have a backup truck available? why would the agent not care at all or try to rectify the situation in any way?

He was really good about when most of us asked him if there was or he had more help and he said no. Think he should be recognized for his great efforts I know I've seen him there a few times in the short period I used the storage unit. Guy deserves a raise!!

The only issue we had was with the Uhaul central organization that answered the phone and set up our reservation for a truck and the storage unit. They reported incorrect business hours, which delayed our move by over 2 hours. The facility was actually opened and staffed at 7 am, but Uhaul told us they didn’t open until 9, which delayed our move and packing team.
