I was told my rental was guaranteed or I would get $50…,when I went to pick up my truck it wasn't available so I ended up with a cargo van.

Veronica R. | First ImpressionsThis facility is subpar at best. The climate control is off sometimes, and who knows for how long/? The hall lighting is sometimes off and the units don't have interior lighting. Complaints aren't taken seriously and the GM seems unconcerned and unwilling to improve the situation. I would never recommend this location for storage! Their rental truck service, however, is much more efficient. The counter help is polite and courteous.

Treneisha S. | First ImpressionsI had a 3:30 pm reservation. After checking in I had to wait a while as no representative came to hook up the trailer. A worker who just arrived came by to assist. It was apparent it wasn't his responsibility but he was great and hooked me up. I returned the trailer 24 hours later. Several hours later I received the receipt charging me for two full days and a late charge. The return time listed was two hours after I returned the trailer. Whether the person working inside is lazy, incompetent, or a crook...I don't know. Regardless, if you decide use this location be very careful!!! I will be pursuing action if they don't remedy this quickly.
Ronny K.Make sure what is discussed with customer is on contract. When link is sent to customer it is readable and not in code . Was not able to respond because of this. Also was told that I could return item on date in question before 7pm and it would be the price on contract. But upon return was charged for an extra day because contract had return time at 11. My fault for not questioning more and not able to respond to link. So at drop off I was charged an extra day because it was 4 pm instead of 11.

Ora B.The facility is in below average condition. The A/C in the climate controlled area has been broken/insufficient for MONTHS with no estimated date of repair. There is NO LIGHT in the units and there were rat traps and holes in the walls. I had to leave my things in the unit until I could schedule another time that I could get labor to help me move AGAIN. The person on the counter was very helpful and apologetic but the GM was a complete JERK. He couldn't care less whether my belongings were safe, that the A/C wasn't working sufficiently, or that the unit had a huge hole in the wall into the next unit. Whomever the franchise owner is should lose the privilege of representing Uhaul. This owner is negligent and doesn't represent the quality or service on which Uhaul has built their reputation..0

FREDRICK F.I reserved two climate controlled units and was unable to complete my move in because the second unit was not located in a climate controlled building. The facility is in below average condition and I had to leave the truck locked with my belongings and have to return to the facility this morning to try to get an appropriate remedy. I am having to pay labor again, alter my travel plans, and possibly pay another day for the truck since I was unable to empty its contents and turn in the key. I am very disappointed and exhausted. The uhaul answering service after hours was very sympathetic when I called and did direct me on what to do accordingly. Hopefully this will be resolved easily this morning.

verdell w. | Overall ExperienceThe people at U-Haul Hearne Avenue are the friendly, courteous professionals. It was so refreshing to interact with that kind of service. I ended up at the Hearne Avenue location, because the person who works at the Financial Plaza U-Haul acted a total fool upon me entering the building there. He is highly disrespectful, talks to customers in an inflaming tone, is highly condescending. I don't judge people for who or what they are, but I'll judge him. He is an angry woman trapped in a male body, in need of midol! Management PLEASE get rid of that person, or take the U-Haul name off of that establishment. He is bad for business. I will NEVER use that location as long as he is there. As a matter of fact I will take caution in using U-Haul from here on out.

ALISHA B.The employee that rented to us was very quick and knowledgeable with the inside computer app / contract portion of the transaction. But she didn't pay enough attention to what she was doing as she was attaching the trailer to our vehicle. She was distracted by her earbud phone conversation and didn't hook the equipment up correctly. The pigtail wasn't fitted correctly and we had to fix it ourselves after we left in order for the blinkers and lights to work. The trailer wasn't completely on the ball and we had to also fix that ourselves. I feel like the employee knew her job well but was distracted by her personal conversation. Normally that wouldn't be an issue for me, but hauling a trailer in heavy traffic is not the place to find out that its not completely attached. This could have been a bad accident and someone with less experience could have gotten hurt.

Betty B.Appliance dolly ordered was not in truck. I didn't get charged for it when I returned equipment, which is fine. I was charged not only my final bill of 78.31 but also the $160.00 hold placed on my account!! When I contacted the U-Haul customer service number I was told it would be 3 to 5 business days before I would get the hold monies back! I worked for U-Haul before and it always took off the hold money when the final bill was submitted, I feel that if I wasn't checking my bank account closely I would be robbed of this money. It needs to be returned to my account immediately!
