The gurl was very rude
Kunise L.Employees have no sense of urgency or are willing to go the extra mile. Before renting from the location on paramount I was suppose to pick up 6X12 trailer from a location in Artesia and the employee there gave me an attitude telling me I need to bring the trailer at a certain time because it was going to go right back although I understand what she was telling me I had placed a reservation a week in advance I explain to her that I could not commit return the trailer at the time she was telling me and told me I had to in a demeaning way so to D escalate I ask if there was another location that could accommodate me which she then called the paramount location. Once I arrivals at the paramount location the employees were very dry did not appear to be happy at work and had dry answers. While I was talking to one employee another employee picked up the ringing work phone and answered it on speaker. The customer one the phone asked if their propane was working because he just left a location where their propane machine was not working, the female employee answered “yeah it's working†in a what ever attitude and was dismissive of what the customer was explain to her. These are NOT the only locations where I have received bad customer service from U-Haul. I am currently looking for another place to rent from in the future because this is ridiculous and to top it off i had to be charged an extra day for dropping off a couple hours late when in the past I was not charged. Overall the customer service is horrible.

Greg S.The location refused to provide the box to my address, even though I saw another U-Box dropped off days before. They also didn't have availability for me to have access to the box for more than one day. The person I booked with on the phone told me that this location was 10 minutes from my home but it was 30 which screwed up my moving plans. Worst of all, I was told that my box would be ready to go by 12pm and I did not get access to it until 6pm. I had to advocate to keep access to it until 6pm like the written information I received when I booked said I could have access until. In the middle of making runs to and from my apartment, I got an email that they had put my box away resulting in me being on the phone with a customer service manager in tears as she told me that my experiences shouldn't be considered negative "because they have other customers." Essentially, they screwed me. I had to pay an extra $1000 for people to take a bunch of my stuff to the dump the next day and I had to throw out nearly half of what I owned because I was not able to finish packing everything in the U-Box and did not have enough space for everything in my car. I will NEVER use this service again and frankly feel that I should be compensated for my negative experience with your services that resulted in significant personal financial loss. With what I ended up having to spend, I could have payed for people to come to my apartment, pack it all for me, and ship it to my new apartment.

I have 2 Unboxes and a storage so I'm in and out and every time I come I'm treated nice. Also when I'm passing by where the truck returns you can't help but notice how they clean the trucks and tires. I rate them a 5 star âï¸

Richard M.Please sync hours of operation between the representatives on-site and the representatives on the phone. The phone rep said I could access the U-Box up to the time the site closed (7 or 8 PM, depending on the day), but the reps on-site clarified that access is not possible after 4 PM. Because of this discrepancy, I could not retrieve an air mattress and bedding from my U-Box on 3/22. I had to buy a mattress and bedding, at the last minute for over $200, to avoid sleeping on the floor in my new apartment.

tashiea S.The contact-free system and the unit itself were fine. My main suggestion would be to improve the video on how to get into the unit. It skips right over explaining how you actually open the sliding door; in the video it just magically opens. I had to go back into the office and wait in line to find out I have to step on the foot pedal at the same time as I pull the latch in order to release it. Otherwise, the move in was pretty smooth.

Manager seemed to just tell staff answers and not want to talk on phone. Other than that clean storage and no issues with the unit. It might be helpful to have donation places on file for when people decide to move out of their storage... Habitat for humanity is one that will pick up at a storage place.

I ended up buying two locks because I was unaware I would need a lock for the storage unit. So when i bought a lock to lock the truck overnight, I bought the non circular type. Some communication or suggestions during the rental process about which lock to pick would be helpful in the future.
