My comment is not about this location but instead Paul in scheduling based in Columbus OH (614-300-1558). I want to give Paul recognition for being customer focused and helpful. When I was first transferred to Paul, I had already been on the phone for over an hour and transferred from dept to dept with no resolution or ownership. Paul quickly diffused the situation, listened to my concerns, identified the issue and worked promptly to resolve it. It is employees like Paul that will cause me to use Uhaul again despite the issues experienced during this rental.David H.

Because I didn't go in and get a receipt or timestamp I just cleaned my truck dropped it off and handed over the key I was charged an additional day and I only have this truck for maybe 7 or 8 hours rented it and returned it all in one day I call customer service they tell me they make a note of it and to wait 3 days so I'm sure I'll probably not get my money back would definitely not use you all again and not recommend to any friends and familyDamien W.

When I Picked up the truck the sales person indicated on the sheet what the fuel level was, I failed to look at the gage before i left. I stopped and put 4 gallons of fuel in the truck and returned it. when they checked me they said i owed $15 for 3 gallons to bring it back to where it should be. However i only drove 48 miles, therefore the fuel level must have been much lower than originally estimated. I guess i will to be a little more diligent the next time. Thanks John SpencerJohn S.

My problem wasn't with the pickup or drop off locations. It was the overall experience. I called the 1-800 number to reserve a 10ft truck where I needed it. While driving to the location they gave me. First, they redirected me to another area 55 miles away. Since I really needed to rent this truck, I went the 55 miles picked up the truck drove back. They only allow you 125 miles with their plans. So after loading the truck, I had to drive to my final destination, which was 104 miles away. So I already knew I would be going over their mileage cap, which I think is ridiculous considering I was going to a U-Haul near the location I was currently at but then had to drive farther away to get a truck. They offered me the insurance plan for $14.00. That was it. It made it seem like that would take all coverage. There is an additional $5 charge in case you lock the keys in the truck. Not being informed of this, my party accidentally left the keys in the truck. We had to wait at a gas station for over 3 hours for a locksmith that charged an additional $75 to unlock the truck. U-Haul said they couldn't do anything because I didn't pay a $5 fee when I picked up the truck. My subsequent complaint is about the refueling. I understand that when I am given a truck at a 5/8 a tank, I need to refill it to a 5/8 a tank. Since that is pretty hard to gauge when filling up a truck, I filled it, $80 later. I go to drop off the truck. The person informs me that I went over their mileage, so I must pay for the rest. I said I understood that, but I filled up the tank. There is nothing they can do about that but thank you. So they charged my card for another additional $30. So I am wondering if I would have just dropped off the truck without refilling and just paid them to do it and the extra miles if I would have saved any money. Probably notâ€¦ Worst experience with a moving company ever!kerie N.

The turn signal lights didn't work. The rep told me this when I was signing the paperwork to take the trailer. She said â€œjust be carefulâ€. The radio and clock weren't working when I picked up the truck. Then the battery went dead. That should probably have been an indicator that the battery was low. The back door was also harder to open than any Uhaul truck I've ever rented.Dennis D.

The only reason I would not recommend to a friend is because it is not the closest location to me but it is the location that could do my work the fastest. Otherwise they were helpful and efficient and completed my work in a reasonable time. I would recommend them to a friend in their area.Gary E.

Employees didn't know what they were doing , kept trying to tell me there was millage charge on a car transport trailer . Imputed wrong drop off location. Trailer hooked up to my truck was parked so close to another trailer that I dragged on the other trailer when pulling out. There was a flat tire on that side that I didn't see till I got home . Had to wait 2 hrs for road side to come change the tire . Sent me a drop off location a hr and a half out of the way due to the wrong input of the drop off town .Matthew G.

The drop-off process 24/7 was confusing. The app didn't work / share my location. I was lucky to have a friend with me because it worked on her phone but not mine. Then we wandered around forever trying to find the key drop. It was not well marked for people to find.April W.
Very Friendly. Great location. The advertised 6x12 trailer was not 6x12 due to the opening. I couldn't use it, and because I had to borrow another trailer and return it, I was late returning the Uhaul trailer. I ended up paying for 2 days on a trailer that honestly sat in my yard for the period of time that I had it.Aaron L.

When I telephoned your 1-800 phone number for information on renting a trailer your representative convinced me to reserve a trailer for my move. I am so glad that I reserved at that time. It allowed me to focus on the many other things that needed to be done prior to the move.Stanley K.
Costs are high. It cost 99 cents a mile yet you still have to fill the truck back to original fuel levels. On top of that there is a daily fee. Between the daily fee and the 99 cent per mile gas should be well covered. I find this obscure as I a pilot can rent a plane fly anywhere and only pay the hourly fee which includes fuel.Garrett T.

Clean, well lit facility, although they got rid of the security gates and fence for some reason. They could have ramps for taking the carts to vehicles for loading and unloading as the drop off out the door can be quite the pain. While secure, the actual door to the individual storage area seemed quite weak and flimsy and mine was actually very easy to knock off track. The alarm system going off if not signed in is a nice touch but pointless if nobody ever shows up and it shuts off after 30 seconds. Overall I would use the facility again if need be, but the price is high for the size, at $115 for a 10x10x10 I believe. I have a unit elsewhere that is security gate code accessed, and 10x30 with 20ft slanted ceiling and its only $135 monthly.Jeff S. | Overall Experience

Overall, the facility was good. However, our specific unit had not been cleaned out. Items from a previous renter were still inside. Also, there was blood next to the latch and drops of blood trailing from our unit outside to the parking lot. I understand it would be hard to clean blood off the cement floor, but it would have been nice for the blood to have been cleaned off the latch and door. We did get blood on our fingers from that, which was disturbing. We called to report the problem.allyson g. | First Impressions
Rob and his staff were great to get along with. They were friendly, helpful, and professional. I was very disappointed with our bank card not being able to be used (Chase Bank). We could not do automated billing, because of this. We checked with our bank, and had no issues with it anywhere else. We had to make cash payments twice a month which was awful. The cost of storage was outrageous. The location and accessibility were excellent. I would love to give 5 stars for the friendly staff at this location, but the inconvenience cost me a lot of time and money. Being that this is likely the most expensive storage facility in Newark, it is unacceptable to have those types of issues. It took 4 times to get a code to even work. After repeatedly calling the store and being transferred to customer service I was finally able to get something done by going in the actual store myself. The alarm sounding from the 1st unit that was on the 2nd floor was embarrassing enough, but trying to fit. 26 footer down the isle of the 2nd unit was even worse!
