The gentleman was very polite. The problem is he installed my hitch with the pin through the reducer sleeve only. Not through the receiver on the truck. So the trailer pulled out the hitch going down the highway. I should've checked it. I figured he had done this multiple times. I've learned my lesson.David W.

We came to the location to pick up the truck and the size truck we requested was unavailable. I asked if they had another size truck available and was offered a smaller truck. We took the truck and it was not clean but we had no choice but to take it. When returning the truck we went into the office and there was bo employees available. We waited about 15 minutes before someone arrived. The employees were young and inexperienced. They needed support from management that clearly was unavailable. I suggest you get a better management team to give these young employees the proper training.LARRY C.

We used online to check in. We checked our vehicle and proceeded to the front desk for the key where we were told they gave the key to someone else. I had walked to the truck then to the front office then back to get my dolly I left at my truck rental while 7 months pregnant. I was clearly upset at the entire situation and the girl at the desk was rude and unapologetic for the mix up. So what was the point of online check in if they give away the truck anyways?! Then my receipt still lists the wrong truck on my invoice. Now on my bank statement I have an unknown charge but was told it should drop off even though there isn't an invoice to go with the charge. I hate this location even though it is closest to me and will travel out of my way to avoid going here again.Heather O.
Why am I required to fill up the tank when I got the tank on Empty? I paid 202 for the re tal plus 98.00 to fill up the tank. At least fill up the tank or not expect the tank to be full. As always, if my tank isn't filled then I'd be charged 5.00 a gallon? This doesn't make any senseISAIAS N.

I believe I was overcharged. I extended my rental for 3 hours and was charged and additional insurance fee of $14.00, as well as an additional truck rental fee of $19.95. Further an additional charge of $41.52 was posted to my bank account 3 days later. When I paid for the truck rental I was told that the card swiping machine was not working and that my card number would have to be run manually. I am now concerned that my card number was retained and is being used fraudulently. I spoke with "Michael" in customer service today who insisted that the extra charges were due to the difference between what was held on my card and what ended up being charged. This makes no sense. Please review these transactions, and provide me with an investigation report.REBECCA M.

This was the worst experience and I will never use Uhaul again or recommend them to anyone. I was told different information with each person I talked to. Containers didn't arrive when they were suppose to. I was told I would get a call back and never did. I waited literally hours on the phone trying to get help through your support line - multiple times! I only used two containers and have still been charged for three. Here we go again waiting forever to speak with someone. Saying it was the worst experience doesn't even begin to say how bad it was.Molly B.

The one issue I had is I requested to rent a dolly and didn't get it. I still payed for it because it was just easier, but it would have been nice to get. I might have missed the instruction for how to pick it up, but I don't think it was included in the instructions for how to pick up the truck.Darian S.

This location is busy with a transition from another business that previously occupied the site. So, I understand if there wasn't time to wash the truck, but the truck was pretty dirty - could have used a cursory hosing. Still, staff were great!Bill G.
The truck's fuel tank was on empty. The representative at the front desk was very unfriendly.MONTRE E.
Easy check-in was not easy. Unaware that the driver needed 2 forms of ID. Unable to find the front door which was on the other side of the building. Once we had the keys, could not find the vehicle found the truck which was damaged, the number that was given in case of emergency kept disconnecting or no one answered. This was the most poorly run U-Haul site.James M.

Previous location I reserved a truck at, did not have that truck available. Had to drive an extra 15 minutes to this one to pick up another truck. This was the second time in ONE week that I reserved a truck at a location, showed up, and they did not have that truck. I'm extremely annoyed with the reservation process, as both times both locations were at least a 20 minute drive from me (the other one was a 35 minute drive) and I had to waste my own time and gas to find out that the truck I had reserved was not available. Uhaul needs to implement a better communication system between its locations and it's reservation service.VIVIAN D.

The customer service was awful, they were not prepared for my check ins, they were texting when I was being helped, told me there was nothing they could do to fix a situation and the equipment was extremely dirty and not cleaned at all. There was garbage in our uhaul van and just awful.Duane T.

Super friendly staff, very helpful and so kind. I reserved the van just about an hour before I picked it up and it was all ready by the time I arrived. I will definitely be coming back here to rent a service utility vehicle. I've been to other U-Haul u locations in this particular location is very nice very clean well-managed covid compliant just all around excellent customer service here and all the vehicles seem brand new and working perfectly. I picked up the truck but instead of hand truck that I ordered it was utility cart ( w no handle). It was too late to call in to exchange. Pls reset your alert sign for the gas cap. The young man was very nice. Gracias.PATRICIA W.

Maintenance light was on in truck. Service should have already been done. Breaks in truck we're poor. I received truck on E (no gas). I scheduled self pick up at 6:30 am when I arrived the website changed it to 7am hand delivery with worker. There was no parking places in parking lot long enough to return truck after hours. My in person U-Haul experience was excellent. However, I attempted to use the app for a 24-7 pick up and that was a nightmare. I picked up my rental truck 2 hours after the scheduled pick up time because I had to wait for the site to open.TIA D.

In the beginning the manager took responsibility for the mishaps/issues. 8 months ago I purchased 2 U-Box's. The purchase was on separate contracts but purchased on the same date and time. I tried to make payment on-line but the system wouldn't allow me access, I called the store and stated there are 2 U-Boxes. The employee confirmed the 2 U-Boxes but applied the payments to 1 account. I received a late notice, called the store and they corrected the issue. As time went on, the same issues continued. I finally spoke to the manager Reannon Hall assured me the matter was resolved. The following month, the same problem happened. I called Reannon directly, no response, finally, I went to the store, bringing paperwork and receipts showing payments were made and there were 2 months in advance. Reannon stated she did everything she could do, she blamed the staff and corporate for not posting the payments. She denied she assured me the problem was resolved! I was furious! Reannon customer service is POOR. I WOULD NOT recommend this store to anyone!Sheila R.

The workers were fantastic. They were helpful and knowledgeable. That being said, I will never be using Uhaul again and will NEVER recommend them. The system would not accept payments for about twenty minutes, leading to a large line. The truck I had reserved was not available so I had to have a shorter truck for the same cost. I originally was told incorrect information at the Arden location regarding the U-Pack box and the process for it. Such as you only have access to the box for 1 day, I would only need one box and told the incorrect dimensions, then the guy handed me a paper telling me it was booked. I never received a confirmation text and when I went in a few days before my move it was confirmed he never actually submitted the request. Which is stressful to think I could have not had a box if it sold out by then and it sounds like it was close to doing so. When going to Natomas the first time I went in the employees watched me walk to the counter and proceeded to talk to each other joking around for 15 minutes until my older family member walked in then they instantly stop and were able come to the counter. Which tells me they could have stopped kikiing at any time I had been standing there for 15 mins. When I went in another day the two young women behind the counter had big attitude which was unnecessary when the customer is being nothing but polite and just double checking the box procedures. If you cannot handle people, stay in the warehouse and don't do a customer facing role. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with attitude and misinformation from multiple U-Haul locations. The last straw was being called by the Aurora location after the box was delivered and told it was scheduled for pick up the next morning. If I am paying for 30 days storage how are you going to short me a week and a half and expect me to have the box cleared with no notice on a weekday?! I didn't hear anything about prorating back the days I was losing and was told â€œwell the truck is going to be full so this would go into another month if you want to be charged.â€ Y'all need to figure that out because you're not going to call someone on a weekday afternoon and tell them that the box is going to be picked up the next morning when that wasn't the agreed or paid till date. Luckily I guess she was able to figure it out after arguing about charging me an additional month. but it was the straw that broke the camel's back after being patient with this service. I wouldn't call this acceptable practice and SOP. I probably will go with a competitor if I use a box/pod for my next move. A multi state move is stressful enough without the added issues that U-Haul employees brought. I try to be pleasant, make sure to say thank you. But it seems to be endemic to the company if blatant misinformation and bad attitudes are happening at not one but 3 centers across 2 states.Brittany R.

Waited on hold 3 separate times for over an hour, transferred 3 times to get a delivery time. Time was changed twice without telling me. The day before a box pickup is requested, call the customer to arrange a pickup window. I didn't hear from Uhaul on pickup day until the truck driver called me to say she was 15 minutes away. Thankfully my box was picked up on time, but the scheduling felt very last-minute, and not knowing whether the box would be picked up or not was very stressful.Samantha S.

I had horrible experiences with the customer service agents all throughout my experience. They were all fairly friendly but every time I spoke with one they would never make notes in my account. So each time I spoke to another person in the future it was always like starting over again. I scheduled a delivery of my boxes at my new location that I moved to and it never got recorded. I had arranged for friends and a moving company to help me unload them. It took a lot of of planning only to find out that I was never even put on the schedule. They almost weren't able to accommodate me but luckily I called the day before to confirm and they were able to squeeze me in. They also continued to try to go to a different address even though I had told them the correct address countless times. Every time I updated them with any information it was never known the next time I spoke with someone else. The holding time on the phone was annoying, especially knowing that everything we would discuss was probably not going to be recorded. Also, when I first called U-Haul to get a quote I was told the boxes would be $99 a month and then when the bill came I was charged $109 per month. I'm not normally a complainer but there were just lots of little things along the way that surprised me for how big of a company it is. The organization and professionalism was almost non existent and I was just very very surprised by this.nathan P.
