You can honor customers reservation and not give the vehicle they reserved to a walk-in customer and then try to accuse said customer of lying when they have proof of the details of their transaction in front of your face. I am disgusted with the service and demeanor of the staff. I will be sure to tell everyone about the terrible experience. When I mentioned the “U-Haul” guarantee, I was told nobody knew what it was. I again showed several employees and they again refused to acknowledge it. I will be moving in the next two weeks and I want to thank you for making my decision to go elsewhere easy for me

When I checked in at 7:30 for my equipment it was not available. This was not the employees fault but the customer from the day before. Jimmy helped me and called the customer right away to find out when it would be back. He even checked other locations to see if the equipment was available so I could do my move that day. The customer did return a short time later and Jimmy issued me a 50.00 credit. He could not have been more accommodating. I rented a pick up and transporter. Jimmy checked and the straps on the transporter were frayed and coming apart. He made sure to put a new set on before we left. Thank you for all your help!

Omg... the staff were great!!! I first made the appointment for 9/21/19 which was a lovely experience as always. Then called back to reschedule for9/22/19 the Rep was so pleasantly attentive to reschedule me at my convenience. I was very happy when I got a reminder call about the am of my resrvtn bcz I had overslept. Thank you for the call. The first attendant that I was checking me in told me that my reservation was until 11am which was a mistake/miscommunication which I wasn’t really too worried about bcz I know cust. serv. is wonderful there & they would result the problem in a heartbeat. He called his supervisor & within a couple minutes I was happily accommodated. I had no worries. I don’t use U-Haul often but every time I’m moving. U-Haul is the first & only company I’ll ever used. Moving is a lot & they make it so easy & convenient for you. I don’t use their supplies but they always go further & beyond t assist & all your needs. With U-Haul I have peace of mind. Honestly speaking from the bottom of my heart if you ask me I think other company should merge into one with U-Haul bcz they can never beat them. I’ve never tried them & I don't need to. I’m sticking with the real no matter what. i am very very very satisfied. You have everything covered. Your hard work is greatly appreciate it. I know you guys will keep working harder & harder to improve, to better serve your community. You guys have reached the ultimate maximum perfectionism. I have a lot of graciousness toward the company & his staff. i cannot thank you enough for happily starting my stressful moving day a lot at ease. Keep up the great work work!!!. I will always spread the great word about my always wonderful over the top experience with U-Haul & their lovely kind hearted & the greatest bestest hardest working members. Facility and employee was great. The text link for after hour drop off sucks. My employee tried it several times with no luck and I ended up having to pay double. Not happy, I should receive a refund for the second day to keep me as a long time loyal customer.

Reservation for cargo van was easily done on line. Upon entering for pick up, I was impressed by all the merchandise shown that can be useful on a move. When it was my turn, staff was corteeous, and helpful with explaining details. Upon returning, I had problem with my phone to do self retun. I did a chat with customer service giving them detail of my return. They were helpful and stated they would leave a note for staff at Nanuet of my return. I had a no problem, easy experience with U HAUL.

I am absolutely disgusted by the employees working at the nanuet location. There is absolutely zero work ethic, not one person was friendly or was experienced. The lady in front who rang me up was rude and impatient, stank face the whole time. The auto transport i rented had a broken strap that wasnt checked by the worker who guided me to the trailer. I had to wait 14 hours to get this issue fixed at a local shop in White Plains, New York, causing me to leave for my trip a day late. I lost my hotel reservation for Friday night because of this problem. I am truly disgusted and disappointed with Uhaul and their employees, i will NEVER rent from Uhaul again and will make sure NONE of my family/friends or colleagues do. Please believe this will not go unnoticed, i suggest a district manager calls me first thing Monday or i will do what it takes to make sure i speak to someone about this horrific experience i had. I am absolute shock still. Thanks for ruining my trip and last ever uhaul experience. Luis Rolon

I was too the trailer I rented came with tie down straps, it did not. The trailer had dirt/mud in it, however they where willing to clean it but since I was in a rush because I had to make an unexpected stop to get tie down straps I passed on them cleaning. Other then that all went well

Trailers should be swept clean upon return, before releasing to the next renter. The trailer I rented was not just filthy with road grime (had not been washed in a long time) but the bet was littered with trash., NO EXCUSE!!!

My pick-up location in Nanuet, NY was excellent. From pick-up to drop off everyone I dealt with was friendly and helpful. I would like to note however, that my rental experience started off very poorly. When I first made my reservation by phone with U-Haul I was sent to a pick-up location on Red Schoolhouse Road in Spring Valley, NY. I wasted over an hour getting a ride there from my home only to be told when I got there at my scheduled time that they had no truck available for me. This was very inconvenient and cost me valuable time, as I had taken time off work to move furniture. I was under the impression that there was a reservation guarantee, but no one mentioned this to me. When I called U-Haul the representative I spoke with was very helpful and understanding. She sent me to the Nanuet location, first confirming for me that they had the truck I needed available.

The Nanuet store was supposed to open at 7am. No one came until 9:30. When it finally opened, there was only 1 staff member to assist about 20 customers. A very unacceptable experience.

The line was long- and it took forever to get service. The staff was very nice, but the computer wasn’t Working correctly and we had to start over. It wasted a lot of time.

I filed a dispute in billing when I ordered the 9 foot van and told them I was driving out of town I asked if it could be dropped off in ANn Arbor. I was told for a nominal charge the answer was yes. I took the van instead of the box truck based on this answer and because I knew I would be more comfortable in the van. Upon dropping off in Ann Arbor I was told I could not do that and billed an extra $1000-1200. The dispute still goes on and I have spoken to no less than 10 employees of uhaul. This has been the worst customer experience I have had in my lifetime. When the Nanuet manager called me he acknowledged he had told me I could drop it off. Whether he has told the higher ups in an effort to resolve this as of now is unknown but my saga continues so I assume not.

Customers wanting to return equipment outside store hours should be warned that they need to create and account ahead of time -- and make sure that the contract links to it (did not for me) so that the smart-phone return can be accomplished.

While the people working at this location were very nice, Uhaul did not provide me with a pick up location that I requested or another location close to my house. Therefore the pick up location was inconvenient and costly to me. Because of that, I will not recommend Uhaul to anyone.

The manager, Bill Barry, helped save a very difficult situation for me. I had 3 volunteers from our Church ready to load up an apartment of one of our parishioners. We had to move then out today and into the new apartment in the afternoon. When I got to the location, which was not my first choice location, they said they had no trucks. He said Uhaul overbooked them. I was very upset and Bill was able to give me a truck with a promise to have it back by the next morning at 7 am. I was able to return thetruck before 3 pm today. Mission accomplished thanks to Bill. There is no way Uhaul should be overbooking trucks. People plan ahead for their rentals and expect to have a truck. The current system needs improvement for sure. Also, the truck was perfectly clean inside and rode very well!!!
