Roger C.This was the most stressful move ever! I had so much stuff and I had to rent a few vans and trucks to get the move done over a week or more. Andrew doesn't even realize how helpful he was during this stressful move. I appreaciate him so much. I also kept renting trucks and vans because everything is so expensive today but I rented a nice updated van and moved a lot of stuff for $37 so I can't complain about that. I only made it to $100 once and that was for 2 days with miles and gas. I am definitely going to take advantage of van rentals when it comes to cleaning out my storage and taking things to the dump. For anyone who was wondering... it was super cheap to fill a 15ft uhaul with trash from top to bottom, front to back and take it to the dump. I thought I would pay hundreds of dollars to dump that trash but I paid $47 to dump a uhaul truck full of trash. Rent a uhaul to dump a lot of trash. Don't pay people to pick it up or 1800 junk. It's cheaper this way.
Myesha L.Counter customer service on pick up could have been more friendly. Did'nt say hello and kind of had an attitude like I was bothering him from something more important. One of the guys outside was friendly in offering me assistance on figuring out how the receiver adapter fit my mounts. Sorry did'nt get his name.

Linda W.One of the staff members outside could have been a little friendlier. He told us that we had parked in the wrong place, and we thanked him and said that we were moving our car right away. But when we ran off to do so, he didn't seem to understand that we were walking away in order to correct the problem, not to be rude to him. But the longer we stood there listening to him scold us, the longer it was going to take for us to move the car from where he didn't want it. When he wouldn't stop trying to explain what we had done wrong, we had to leave before he was done lecturing us. When we returned the truck, he still seemed annoyed. We otherwise had a good experience.
CARRON M.Every time I drop off the vehicle during business hours, nobody is there to take the keys. I have to stand around or just leave the keys in the car and hope that I am not charged for being late despite being there on time.
Ralis D.The distance between the pick-up and drip off site was 10 mile more than the 154 miles included with the rental, which meant I went over. Was charged $11 extra for the 11 miles, but was not given any credit for the 3/8 of a tank of extra of gas I left it with, which is worth about $25. Feels like I was taken advantage of.

I don't remember the man's name who I called, but he was understanding, polite, reassuring and wisely advised me that the cheapest was to return the vehicle was before 5:00 pm on Sunday. Richard C. | Overall ExperienceEveryone was super nice and working VERY hard. But this location is understaffed by at least 1 person. I had an appointment at noon. I was 5 min late, but the guy didn't get started until 12:45. Then he was interrupted or called away at least 5 times- a phone call needed his help, a walk in customer had questions about hitches, another walk in customer had questions. He was working HARD- but they need a second guy helping him! Overall the installation was done well, it just took significantly longer than I was expecting due to all the interruptions. Especially because I had made an appointment and taken time off in my work day to get it done.

Couldn't find anyone at the return spot, had to go inside then the guy who checked me out barely said two words about what was needed to complete the process. Then he said it was going to cost $25 for cleaning the drivers side floor which had a bit of dirt on it. So I cleaned it myself. If I have a chance to rent from another company in the future I will do so.

Lynette C. | Overall ExperienceThis pick up location is convenient as a central location for the middle part of SD county. I especially appreciated being able to reserve a trailer there through the personnel here in Oceanside. It's always nice to get everything done in one call.
JOHN R.The van was not checked in when I returned the van. There was no one available to check me in. I gave the keys and contract to a person at the desk when the van was returned. The next morning I received a call looking for the keys. Come to find out that another employee took the van for the night after I returned it, and did not check it in to me before he left.. The office tried at first to charge me an extra day because the van was not checked in until the next day.. This gave me considerable stress until the office finally got it straightened out. I will probably rent from this location again as it is convenient for me. But, be assured, I will get more information when I return the van the next time.
Roger P.Ive rented from UHaul many times and have never had an issue. I was running a late to my pickup and received a rude call saying I was late and my pickup time needed to be moved. Im used to the contactless pickup so I found this call very unnecessary. I now prefer to rent from other locations
