LOGAN E | Overall ExperienceI requested a van for 20 miles but only used 6 miles. The gas needle never moved but instead of refunding me my 14miles they charge me for 3 gallons of gas.
KEETOYA YPick up location had the incorrect gas amount set on truck. Spent money to fill it to that level. Still got charged for gas.
JOSIAH BPut some kind of air deodorizer in the truck cabs, especially for the ones that previously had renters who smoked in them.
RICHARDO OThe female that took care of us seemed as if the front desk at U-Haul was the last place on earth she would want to be. Not the least bit friendly and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. I am a first time U-Haul renter. Not a good experience. I was directed to the lane where my truck was and when I got there, the key did not work. I tried calling the office and I was placed on hold immediately. I had to walk back over to the office and she then inform me that there was more than one truck in that lane, and I needed to match the numbers. Surprisingly, when I walked back in, she was taking care of another customer who happened to be male and her demeanor was very different

MEREDITH UEasy check in/out process. The electronic transmission of receipts needs to be updated. If you don't have the app, you cannot read the receipt, which I find unacceptable.

MARQUITA SThe clerk was helpful and friendly so I would rate her excellent . However, the pickup truck that I rented was filled with a strong marijuna smell! I rolled windows down for several minutes snd smell seemed to dissipate however once I got back in the vehicle , the smell was back! So, it must be in the fabric of the seats and or rug. This vehicle only had a little over 3,000 miles so it is fairly new. This vehicle should not be rented out until it is clean and this smell is corrected. Gracias.

WARREN NI used Mobile Check-In and Mobile Drop-off which was clunky, time consuming and inconvenient. The instructions I received from the app contradicted instructions I received from workers. Would 100% recommend not using the app
Eric PCustomer service is terrible, the receptionist lady were yelling and didn't give me time to ask questions and she was rude whenever i wanted to check on terms and conditions. Truck were not clean, there was a rat feces inside the box! I will never come back to this branch
AHMED BThe van was given to me with barely half a tank, so I returned the van in the same way it was given to me. U-Haul tried to charge me to fill up the van, when I only drove the van for 10 miles!

LAWRENCE AThe representative at Raleigh Location told me that 22 Fire Department Rd is the nearest drop off location to Wendell. I had to drive for 22 miles to the drop off location and get charged for over miles while I could drop it off to a nearby location. Please refund me the over miles charges

BRETT HWhen asking for help detaching the trailing, the women at the front desk had an unprofessional attitude. Instead of walking out and helping me find the other person, she just kept saying there "there is someone outside".

MATLEAN SBilling procedures are unclear and staff unhelpful. I am owed $60 and will not ever get it back. Will not be using U-Haul again, nor will anybody I know. Shameful.

Email after email, knowing i always pay my bill. I was sick and had surgery, and explained that I was out of work, and still she ran my card multiple times a day. I will remove my things from that location as soon as I can. Also the access code sometimes don't work, and I hve to call for them to open the door. The garage is sometimes locked, when it should be opened when the store is opened .

And I can absolutely tell it is "the tone at the top" because, I don't want to misspell her name, the assistant manager went above and beyond in making sure I get the help that I needed, so did the gentleman that help. He even went out of his way to help look for my ID that I thought I lost at the storage unit. Y'all please take care of these employees, because employees with great customer service is very rare these days
Christine D | Overall ExperienceI reserved a certain sized uhaul with customer service only to get there and find out that size didn't even exist. Then had issues with gaining access to my storage after hours. I called left a message and texted "the GM" several times, because it clearly says call or text her for after hour issues, NO RESPONSE.. I literally stood outside the door for an hour trying to reach her NO RESPONSE. The code they had given me didn't work at all. I have another storage at another location always great customer service and if you call the after hours number somebody responds within 2 minutes EVERYTIME!!

I believe that my monthly rental rate had at least doubled from the time I first started leasing the smallest 5x5 storage unit(July 2021) at $35 per month,which in 2 years increased to $70 by November of 2023 . It is an insult to my intelligence that you would think I'd want to continue to rent that small of storage place at that price.Plus , I thought I was treated very rudely by your store office staff in just trying to exchange one of your moving boxes when it was found to be damaged after a purchase. You have earned nothing but bad "word of mouth" from me as far as storage rental services goes. I vacated my space away to a lower priced competitor just yesterday (1/11/24) and I am so relieved to be done with UHaul price extortion now.

Monitoring would make it feel more secure and would be more likely to keep the units longer. Was difficult to keep the overhead lights on near my units, lack of working motion detection in that area. The staff was very helpful.

TRAMAINE' D | Overall ExperienceI did not put the lock on the door of the unit until three days after being assigned that unit. I received two (2) phone calls saying that there was not lock on the unit; this was the week AFTER I had put the lock on it. One of these calls, the second one was BEFORE 7 am which I did not appreciate. I then decided that since I had not put anything in the unit and did not need it after all, that I would go get the lock which I was told was not on the unit anyway and turn everything in. By this time, the code I had not longer worked so staff had to come and let me in so I could get the lock which WAS on the unit after all. I then turned in the lock, keys and paperwork. After all this, I will probably look for other storage options in the future.

The second location gave us a hard time getting the dolly. The storage unit that we were assigned at this location was already being used so we had to call and get another one reassigned to us to use, we waited about 30 min for someone to come and give us a new access card, a new unit, and a lock.
