I have no issues with this location. They were friendly and helpful. My issue is with customer service, who made a storage and drop off reservation in Killeen (24 minutes away) and when I arrived I was told that the room promised wasn’t available. So I had to drive that distance each way and spend extra time and money. Plus my future costs will be more. This wasn't supposed to be my drop off location but the storage had had reserved 24 miles away in Killeen, TX wasn't available. Very inconvenient experience that cost me allot of money and will cost more when I move my household good from storage to Killeen. I waited 30 minutes outside a closed affiliated location and only after I called U-Haul did I find out that I had to go to another location to pick-up the truck. I do not recommend it to anyone they will try to steal your money they gave me a truck and I returned it with exactly the same amount of gasoline as it was delivered to me the one who attended me wanted to charge me 36 dollars more in a few words the remedy was worse than the disease when he The local manager said to solve the problem, I ended up paying more than what was said at the beginning, I took photos of the mileage and gasoline when I took the vehicle and when I showed it to him, he told me how I know that this is true and I answered him because the mileage of the paper that he gave me initially he was in the photo I took, he was very disrespectful and left the place saying that he was not going to argue with me, a terrible answer because if he is not willing to argue with a client he should not work at costumer service, I will never use this place again i am very dissapointedlorena D.

Not a big deal, but I went expecting to see an employee so as to be sure I did things correctly. Online, the location said it was open, but no one was there. Again, it wasn't a problem, but since I don't rent often, it would have been nice to be sure. Maybe it's just a matter of updating the store hours online so as to accurately reflect reality. I dropped the trailer off and followed the instructions, but wasn't sure I'd done it correctly until the next day when I received an email confirmation. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd do it again, if I needed to haul another vehicle. I've pulled many, many trailers. This unit was set up very well with good tires, good balance for the vehicle, it tracked nice and straight with no sway, the brakes worked beautifully, and the ramps and straps were easy to use.Brock H.

You obviously can't rent anything because your people are not equipped with general business tools. I returned the trailer after hours same day. The rear latch on the truck was broken, but had a lock and chain attached to secure the door from opening. This was not discussed with me during checkout. There was also side damage that was not discussed. The truck was incredibly slow at accelerating (I've driven these trucks a lot and drove an ambulance that had the same build, engine, and chassis). It seemed like there was something bogging down the engine. When I went to check the truck back in there was no one around and 4 trucks lined up (during business hours) Could have just been poor timing but there was no direction, again.Lewis W.
I was charge 30.00 fuel charge when I only drove 17 miles. The attend at this rental office never went out to check out the fuel gauge upon picking up the vehicle nor returning the vehicle. I refueled the vehicle prior to returning it to what the gauge was where I picked it up and kept the recipe. Upon noticing the extra charge on my credit card. I went to the rental office to get an explanation. The manger said he would investigate and get back to me. Make sure you have the attend check the gas gauge and agree on the gas level. I am fighting this since I refuel the truck. Not sure that I will ever rent a truck from Haul unless my money is returnedErnesto M.

Do a better job of cleaning the cab interior, with some type of cleaning spray or compound, not just wipe things down with a wet cloth. There was â€œgunkâ€ down inside the cup holders, and dirt & paper debris in the side door compartments. The entire cab interior felt grimy, so I actually cleaned the surfaces and spaces that I had to touch, with a spray cleaner, once I got the truck home. My cleaning cloth came out filthy! Yuck! I didn't get all of the â€œgunkâ€ out, so I didn't use the cup holder that was still dirty. The driver's seat upholstery was torn and coming apart at the seamsâ€¦ not something I would have expected to see in your truck. Other than having a dirty, grimy cab interior, the truck was fine and did the job needed.SHANNON C.

Need to improve knowing what equipment is available. I reserved a 5 x 7 trailer with a ramp for Saturday 4/30 online, it said it was at New Pools Tires & Rims in Belton. This was on Saturday 4/23. Got a call Thursday night 4/28 that it was not available there, but could be picked up at 215 H K Dodger Loop instead, about 15 minutes farther from home. Then Friday night got a second call telling me there were no 5 x 7 trailers available anywhere nearby, could I use a 6 x 12, to be picked up at 3914 S General Bruce Dr. Seem odd that it would change twice in less than a week.Paul B.

I reserved a UHAUL in Belton, TX almost a month in advance. When I showed up at the location for pick up at 0900 (confirmed time and place day prior Over phone) no one was there. I called the posted number and the man (Ed from ideal self storage of Belton) said â€œit's in the shopâ€. I was on a tight timeline with movers waiting on me. The Temple office then got me a new reservation (further delaying my timeline) and almost didn't provide me a rental because I have a temporary license (just moved to Texas and received my new drivers license a few days prior). How a legal, notarized, document isn't acceptable, especially when people commonly receive temp licenses when moving to a new area (and requiring a Uhaul) is common. They then argued with me saying Texas doesn't take your old license and wanted to see it (They in fact do force you to surrender your out of state license) after the back and force they accepted my military ID as a second form by my suggestion. This further delayed my Timeline and the movers who were on the clock with me. I lost 1/3 paid hours I had with my movers because of lack of care by Uhaul. How I can show up and be told â€œthe truck is in the shopâ€ is complete BS. Things break, but I should've been notified and given a new pickup location prior to. I am an active duty service member and although we move a lot - I will never go with Uhaul again.Richard S.

I ordered a 26' truck days ahead of the move. On the day of the move I was called and told they do not have the truck I ordered. I accepted a very small truck for the same amount of money as the bigger truck. I had to pay twice the mileage I would of had if I was given the size of truck I requested. There is a guarantee when you order the truck that is not honored. I keep being told to call a number to talk to someone else. I have always used Uhaul but if I move again I will look for another trucking company. I am so not happy with the service I have received. The person working that day was amazing but the company is slacking in customer satisfaction.Alex T.

They can’t even get their system right, the access doors barely work and you have to be there during work hours to get into your stuff. You’re locked out at their convenience. The driveway on the side of the Climate control buildings are bad, and unleveled. Not good for low profile vehicles and if it rains it can be muddy n slippery, with the left side having a little dip. If a tire slide over to the left, tires can slip down. Have some steep dips in this driveway area, especially on the left side, which scraped the bottom of my car. I had to change buildings to avoid driving to the back buildings. Needs leveling out, or maybe concrete layed down. My move out date on here is incorrect. When I arrived i was informed no unit would be available for many days, and it was blamed on the uhaul corporate rep I reserved through. The local employee helped to secure a unit at another facility. I expect to be given accurate info during the planning process, and the disconnect between local and corporate entities is unacceptable business practice. I had rented a truck to San Antonio, and we needed to drop it off by Monday 9AM. The storage unit we originally reserved was closed on Sunday, and Saturday evening when we arrived to central Texas. Therefore, I called U-Haul to see what were my options, and the representative told me I can use self storage with U-Haul and get the first month free. They even let us drop off the truck in that same location. Great customer service from the lady at the temple location off 35 on a general Bruce drive. She was super friendly, and took time to explain how the key card works. She really helped me feel at ease to be able to unpack the truck, and turn in the truck in time. overall satisfied with storage unit, my issue is with the way the office was run. Was told one rate when initially got storage and paid for lock. Then received a bill sooner than expected at a higher rate.. Unable to find original receipt just paid bill. At move out was told to keep lock because it was free, told counter lady I paid for it and she said I shouldn't have. I asked for refund on lock was told no. I moved out my unit on the 4th of July and was told if I spoke to the manager I could get my refund for the month however nothing has happened. I had to call the facility again because I didn't see a refund on my account nor was the unit actually closed out. I had to relocate due to domestic violence in my home and needed the money for gas.
