Jennifer is a ROCK STAR! She should write a book on customer service! She needs to be in a regional or National manager position as she could really change the face of U-Haul customer experience, she is the reason I would recommend U-Haul! I was extremely stressed out with moving as my lease was over and my movers were scheduled. My new apartment wasn't ready so I can go last minute make the choice to move into storage for a couple of days. Jennifer could tell I reached my stress capacity as one of her team members were helping me while he was training a newer team member. Without me asking She immediately gave me a month free and even included the lock. All I had to pay for was the insurance. She unloaded so much stress off me by doing that. Manager Jennifer is amazing, I prefer to work with her exclusively. The truck I rented had not been inspected before pick up as there was a rig left in the back of the truck. The gentleman that assigned my rental was very condescending and I would prefer to only work with Jennifer when I rent equipment.Shawn K.

This is my second time coming to this location, and it was as 5 star as the last time. I was helped immediately by the manager Jennifer, who skillfully juggled phone calls, trained a new employee, and even got me the help I needed on the spot. She exudes ownership at her job, as well as guides with check-in and check-out, which is a huge help since I had a million other things on my mind, yet with her felt at peace. Additionally, the facilities are nice and convenient. And the truck ran fabulously. (I do wish you still did the take-a-box plan, because I had to go the San Jac location, anyway...) If I need another truck, I'm coming to Louisiana Street!IVAN B.

Jennifer and her team at the Midtown location were BEYOND amazing and helpful. I accidentally booked my Uhaul equipment for the wrong day. As a result, they didn't have the truck I needed when I showed up (a day earlier than what I booked it for). Instead of just sending me on my way, they worked some magic and got me set up with a van to take care of my move until the truck I needed would be available. Jennifer and her team were incredibly nice and professional and went out of their way to help me get what I needed. I was working on a very limited time frame and it would have been a disaster if they hadn't been able to help me. Beyond that, the crew she had working the equipment and checking us in were fast, efficient, and friendly. I can't say enough great things about the team at this location. Jennifer Holder has been rude and disagreeable on two separate rentals. Other staff at this location have been excellent. Most recently arrived to pick up rental truck and nobody was at the front counter and my equipment wasn't ready. I was on the phone with UHaul, and you were advising me to try another location (!), when after about ten long minutes she appeared, and began dishing her customary sour attitude at ME! A customer standing there waiting for her to staff her post. Incredible. On the previous rental the office was relatively busy with three customers. But she greeted me and said she'd be with me. Then a contractor walked in and she cut him in line and dealt with his situation first - and LEFT THE OFFICEwith him to see about an elevator repair on the lot, leaving me at the counter, (exhausted after a move), without a word. Returning a few minutes later, she offered no apology, just nasty defensiveness. I told her directly this was wrong as we inspected the truck. Again, she had nothing but defensive negative attitude in response. In future I'll avoid using this midtown location. The staff at San Jacinto st. are all excellent, i will use that location if i ever have to use UHaul again.Christopher M.

The location itself is very good. However, the billing and payment process is very poor. I rented a truck on May 1st and I am still having my credit card charged for various toll charges. I have tried to contact Uhaul and the reason I am writing this is because I have been on hold for 48 minutes as I write this. I have confirmation that my bill was paid in full, but 2 months later, I am still getting charges and there is no explanation. And, I think I might be on hold for 2 months as well!!MICHAEL F.

1 hour+ and 3 customer service reps. Later and we still couldn't access our storage facility building. Access code got us in the gate but wouldn't open the building doors. Received "access denied" a dozen times. No other "check-in" station was available, which was noted on the keypad. Service reps. Said customer service wasn't busy and could help us right away. Didn't happen-were on hold another 15-20 minutes. We were on a tight schedule for friends needing to attend a funeral vigil, so made for an awful experience all around. First off, I would like to state that 3 of the 4 staff members were absolutely amazing! Both gentlemen who got me checked in and checked out, as well as the gentleman who guided me through the gated area to get my truck had smiles on their faces and were extremely professional and courteous. The gal, I believe her name was Jennifer, I found to be extremely unprofessional and blatantly rude. To preface the entirety of my reservation and rental, I had reserved (via the U-Haul app) a pickup truck for the period of 24 hours. The pickup date/time was May 31 @ 8:30a with a drop-off date/time for June 1 @ 8:30a. Unforseen circumstances prevented accuracy of my scheduled return time, which I own completely on my part, but instead having returned the truck later in the day right around 1p. Now, instead of Miss Jennifer calling to inquire if everything was okay with the rental or to see when the truck would get returned, she had decided to go a much different route with it. I was in the middle of a conference call when she apparently attempted to contact my cell phone; therefore, I did not catch her call at that time. Immediately following that attempt, she then contacted the alternate contact listed on my reservation and informed him that she would have no other choice but to report the truck stolen at that point. Now, mind you, the truck is only right at barely 4 hours past the originally scheduled return time. Again, I own the fact I was late in returning the truck, but that gives absolutely no justified training for her to not only act in this manner and speak so poorly to customers, but to also flood this asinine behavior onto other individuals listed as an alternate contact yet have absolutely no ties to the rental vehicle itself. I will send this by stating that when I did make contact with Jennifer, simply to let her know I wanted to apologize for the lateness in returning the truck and that I would be returning it within the coming hour, she went off on me over the phone. I informed her that it was absolutely ridiculous to threaten a customer and his boyfriend with HPD involvement and take it to such a drastic extreme. I would say that she heard what I was attempting to say, but there is no way that to be possible when she felt the overwhelming need to aggressively talk over me the entire time on the phone with her. I will NOT be going to this location EVER again due to her completely unnecessary behavior, and quite honestly, I will think long and hard about whether to go to any U-Haul location in the future.Mason P.
This UHAUL facility is great! I walked in on Memorial Day and asked if they had a truck for a day rental...Artie and the other nice gentleman had my truck pulled up and ready to go in less than 10 minutes! The truck was well maintained and the price was extremely reasonable. Turning the truck back in was a breeze. I will definitely rent a truck from this UHAUL facility in the future and highly recommend! The location was fine, but my UHaul rental experience was poor due to the ill-designed booking and return software. I used online booking to chose my desired rental location and I submitted my order, only to discover at the time of rental pickup that my pickup location was altered to another one 20 minutes away. I was not notified that my pickup location would be somewhere other than the location I had chosen. When I discovered the change and called the distance location an employee reasoned that the change occurred because the vehicle I requested was unavailable at my preferred location. But it was available: I know because I cancelled my online order, drove to my preferred location, and signed a rental contract manually. My return experience was also poor. My return time was set for after business hours, and I was given instructions to check out online via my phone. However, the UHaul application requires tracing my phone location, but my phone wouldn't allow it. I followed UHaul's instructions for changing my browser location permissions (in Safari), but it didn't solve my problem. I called 1-800-Go-Uhaul and waited for 30 minutes without reaching an agent before I circumvented the technical bug by downloading another Browser. In all I spent an extra 1.5 hours today resolving problems from poor technology.KENDALL K.

This location was amazing! This was my first time moving & first experience with a storage unit. The staff was beyond helpful from start to finish.
