The person that helped me was very rude. The process of getting the unit took almost an hour. Even though i had already did everything online before arriving. Then once all the paperwork was done i went to locate my storage unit only to find that they had rented someone elses unit. I had to go back in the office and instead of signing a new contract with the new unit number he just crossed off the old one and wrote the new unit on my contract. I had reserved a trailer 2 days before. I was disappointed that it still required several minutes to complete the rental paperwork, even though I had rented there before. This time a number of processes used my cell phone. But it still required considerable time. Long lines. Surely the whole process could be streamlined.ROGER H.
Slow service, the self check in was not working, the truck I was given was parked right between 2 other trucks so I couldn't pull it out which further delayed the process, I go to pull out of the parking lot and the worker parked both trucks in the middle of the exit, they were out of furniture dollys, the truck didn't have a regular dolly, the check engine light was on, the brakes were going bad and squeezed and were grinding. The automated system that has been imposed on customers is terrible. The initial rental transaction was difficult and time consuming - roughly 20 minutes to have a person answer my call. The person helping me confused locations for pickup and return. A subsequent clarification attempt was fruitless. We wanted to extend the rental one more day and were unable to reach anyone by phone in order to make that request. I will seek virtually any other source for rentals in the future because of this current system. I will certainly not recommend U-Hail to anyone in the future.Noe L.

Completely horrible experience. When we picked up our UHAUL it was out of gas (according to the employees, the trucks there often get their gas siphoned) but because it was able to start, they had us take it. Well, on the way to our place (not ten miles away) it runs out of gas on the highway! I have a toddler and out family was waiting for us to start the move, so I went and got gas in a portable tank and brought it to my husband in the Highway, because we knew it would be faster than the uhaul assistance. This delayed us an hour! Then I called Uhaul to tell them this happened and to be reimbursed for the gas cans and the trouble, and to complain that the truck was EMPTYâ€"but guess what, you can't call the store directly. I had to call customer service. After ten minutes, someone answers and transfers me. I had to wait in hold another fifty minutes, totaling an hour, only for the person to tell me I should have called the road assistance. This is after I was on hold for an HOUR and had been transferred to THIS person! Now I had been delayed for this move by two hours, there's no way I was going to be on hold again. Plus, because my husband's name was on the account and not mine, he had to call. But he was busy moving, and couldn't call that day, so we're out of luck. A horrible experience.Justin A.

I orefer This location because there's never a long wait but some of the staff at this location are extremely rude and seem miserable. I was upset that our truck had no fuel and was parked between two other trucks to where i couldnt Get out and was given attitude when asking the worker if they could move one of the trucks to get out like i was Inconveniencing him. I was informed that so long as truck returned by 8pm they would be there to accept. When mover got there just prior to 8pm to return truck, they were told to return via mobile app. They should have accepted the truck as stated. I was the renter, not the mover. The app states to scan code from bldg. I could not do this as I was out of town. I had to wait on hold for nearly 1hr for Uhaul to respond to clear my return of rental.Deborah N.

Everything went well. The only thing I'd like to see Uhaul generally do differently is the digital walk through. The photos they have don't really show whether there is damage or not. I always take close-ups of all damage so there are no questions later. Only takes a couple of minutes, and could possibly deter problems upon return. Protect yourself and Uhaul is a good company to deal with.Tommy W.
The 17-footer that I rented was the most raggediest truck I ever drove. I understand you guys are phasing out the 17 footer but that joker had six inches of play in the steering wheel and had a radiator leak other than that everything else got done.RAYMOND J.

They need more help. There was one man doing everything!! At the time we went he was very busy. That said, although it took some time he was very pleasant. The check in with the driver's license HAVING to be uploaded by us was a big draw back. They should have been able to process it at the counter and not put it on us.BRADLEY O.

This comment is more about u-haul its self than the actual store. I ordered a trailer at the store in Lemoore Ca. Received a confirmation receipt and everything. On the day I was supposed to move I went to pick up the trailer and the guy didn't have anything scheduled for me. He had 2 trailer in the parking and was about to close in 10 minutes so I asked if I could just rent one of those. He said no and he called the store in Hanford CA and that person had my order in his system. I never received a notification that this change had been made. When I got to the second store he didn't have any trailers to rent. He said he had one on its way back so I waited for nearly 3 hours. The guy who was bringing the trailer back never showed up. The poor old man running the store even kept his doors open an extra hour to rent me this trailer that never showed up. My storage unit was closed by this point so I couldn't move my stuff there like I needed to. I ended up having to drive and hour and a half away to get a trailer just so I could have one in the morning. The uhaul system has some kind of malfunction that needs fixed to prevent the multiple errors that ended up costing me the half a day I took off work plus a 100 dollars to the place I was living in because I couldn't move the day I had scheduled everything. Unless there is some kind of extraordinary customer retention effort made by uhaul to repay the time and money waisted by their mistakes, I will be looking for other means when I need to move my things in the winter to go to my new duty station.BRANDON S.

I think this is the worst experience I have ever had with your company and we use to use your company ever time we move. I went on line and set up the use of a truck for the weekend of the 26th. It was for a one way from Huntington Beach to Fresno. The Huntington Beach location called and said they were having trouble finding a one way trip truck and if we were interested in picking up in Fresno and returning it back to same location they would give us extra days and 700 or 750 in miles. We knew it was going to be a little extra in gas but that was fine. My husband went and picked up truck on Thurs and they charged our card 860 something. The guy Sam where we picked up said don't worry we will adjust when you drop off. My husband called me worried about the price and i told him it was only supposed to be 347.00.I told my husband we would call in morning and see what's going on. I called the Fresno location that morning and it went to your call center. I finally spoke to someone and they said they seen the notes the girl in Huntington Beach had put and she did not understand why they charged so much, Amy put me on hold and than transfer me to Linda. Linda stated that she was opening a claim. And she would call me in the morning because she was on it. I have never heard from her again. I called on Saturday and the said there was a claim open and to give them 72 hrs. We had a time frame because my mother is on oxygen and needed to be up in Fresno by Sunday because of her oxygen tanks. So when we went to take back truck again with Sam he said we would be charged and than they would refund and than charge us the 347.00. We got an email from Chris and it said we would be charge 430 something. And than this morning I looked at my back account and was charged 862.36. I really want to know what is going on.Martin P.

Due to Covid staff was limited, understandable. But the male staff on hand on Tuesday, March 24, 2021 was exceptional! It was after 3:00p.m when we returned our rental and there were multiple drop-offs already in the que. This individual was checking in and verifying ALL yet he maintained exceptional courtesy, humor, attention to detail, and inquired to our regards of our over-all experience. This is by far the worst experience I've had with this company. Not only would I not recommend this Uhaul I will stay away from using Uhaul ever again. I rented a uhaul with a hitch except there wasn't a towing ball on the truck I rented. Then I called to find another hitch and waited for 1.5 hours on the phone and NEVER RECIEVED A REPLY. had to buy a hitch and missed my time to get my boat to the harbor so I had to stay overnight, rent your pile of shit truck another day, with no hitch except the one I had to buy. The guy or gal that owns this place is a fucking monkey whose WHORE MOTHER should be shot in her GIANT cunt. can't hire someone to answer the phone you fucking monkey tub of SHIT. It's my first time using Uhaul box and I was a bit skeptical after reading the Uhaul reviews. But overall Uhaul made my moving out of state a really great experience. Customer service always helped to answer all of my questions. What was even better was that my Ubox arrived 5 days earlier than what was schedule. All my items arrived the same way I packed them in the box. Nothing shifted. Would definitely use Uhaul Ubox again for moving assistance in the future.Sandra Y.

I arrived at 745 am. Both employess acknowledge I arrived at front door with a hand signal. I waited at front door till 750 while both continued to clean the returning trucks with no cutomers in sight. A second cust arrived with 8 seperate propane tanks. The cutomer who arrived afther me at 750 was helped first. I approched the employee while he assisited the propane cust. He ignored me and continued yunproffessional experience. My truck was coonected without the uhaiul safetylight inspection. I've rented 3 trailers from these empoyess within the last 3 months. I had to take this horrible experience because I needed to pick up my new kicthen cabinets while the apt was set up at 900am.. THis location unprofessional and should take a safety training about how to check the lights , since the keys where not in the ignition. When trailer was returned the emplyee was excellent, proffessional, curtous and I was out in less than 10 minutesVictor A.

The customer service was awful. The wait time was 45 minutes with only 2 people working with a long line. They had a customer complaining about feces and urine in the truck the trucks are not wiped down not a good look during covid. Trucks are all banged up. Unsecured location no gated access and the unit was not cleaned.There was Liquid stains and debris.The good part is they have big locks to the unit that the store would unlock along with that ,the tenant's can have their lock.
