UHAUL Computer system was down yesterday March 26, 2025 and I was unable to rent. Had to rearrange my schedule and rent today March 27. Very aggravating. When I dropped off equipment today, computer was down again. I would appreciate a discount for the multiple inconveniences.

The area to hook up trailers and return equipment is far too cluttered and does not have appropriate access to the street because the pull around was blocked by several trucks and a golf cart. The man working wanted us to reverse a trailer down an area the length of the entire property and the width of 1 1/2 cars that contained approximately 10 speed bumps, to back the rented trailer into the holding spot. He offered to move the trailer with a cart after we refused to back up the length of the block. He should have offered that upon our arrival or offered to move the trucks from the cluttered and blocked off equipment drop off area. I'm only scoring it as average because the young lady was nice and the equipment was in working order and available, otherwise I would have rated it as a poor experience.

WILLIAM MOutdoor unit, secured, no light available. Rat feces all over furniture, tops of boxes, and shelving units we had in there. Couldn't bring anything in the house after emptying unit because we need to blow off all of the feces. Would not recommend outdoor unit at this facility. Staff was friendly.

WILLIAM Owhen i rented the trailer, we were going to sturgis with 2 motorcycles.. i rented the trailer 3 months in advance.. The manager said that the bikes would fit.. we picked up the trailer the day before we were leaving. when we got the trailer , picked it up at 4 pm.. came home and the bikes didn't fit.. brought it back the next morning and was charged 50 dollars for a rental.. never used it brought it home, brought it back.. i couldn't find a trailer in time to tow our bikes.. so had to cancel our trip,.. you need to get wider trailers that can fit two bikes.. 7 x 12 would be great..
Terry LA concern is the parking space to return the U-Haul during after hours. We were lucky to have a one huge space left to park the 26' U-Haul. But I don't know what we would have done if there wasn't that spot left without blocking any of their storage units.
HIEN NIf somebody got late 30 min because traffic or accident on the road I think shouldn’t charge for another day, because when people return the equipment 8 or 10 hrs before don’t get reimbursed for that time.

dennis kI would 100% recommend this place! This actually was a place that we traded our uhaul trailer at. This place was very accommodating. The guy that helped us was amazing. We had brought in a uhaul trailer from another place in town and he told us that they hooked it up incorrectly and it could've caused us problems. He gave us a very clean uhaul tailer and hooked everything up correctly. He apologized for our bad experience at the other place and made everything right for us at his place. Overall great experience.

Overall I am very displeased with this facility however since I paid in advanced I'm stuck with it for now.

KENNEDY A | First ImpressionsI put my furniture in this facility 2 years ago in what was supposed to be a climate control unit. However upon picking up my furniture I discovered my furniture to be mildew and infested with rat urine and feces. At this point I spoke to Mr John Lawson the facility Manager, that inform me that their air conditioner system went out that's why my furniture was damaged. At this point I was given a insurance brochure and was told to make a claim ,which got denied. I was told by insurance company Manager of the claims department, if there was a natural disaster and the lights went out Uhaul wouldn't be responsible, I was taken back by his response because this wasn't the case.My furniture got ruined by Uhaul' s being careless. I also told him hopefully in that case the customer would be notified of those changes because I wasn't notified of these changes . I very surprised on how Uhaul handle a situation that was caused by their negligence. My overall experience was horrible with Uhaul. I drove from Texas to Louisiana to discover my furniture was ruined. I wouldn't recommend this facility (Marrero,Louisiana) location to no one.

Jasmine T | Overall ExperienceI have been a customer of this location since 2015. I am in a climate controlled unit which is rarely climate controlled; I do understand the meaning. It is miserable hot in my unit that several items have been ruined since they have been in there. Isn't that the entire purpose of climate control? I've gone in there and the thermostat reads over 86. The manager from 2015 was rude and obnoxious and charged my card without permission and caused me NSF fees. I also get paid every few months and I attempted to explain that to her so we could work out a plan and she would not hear it. So I am constantly paying these outrageous fees. I always pay my storage which usually costs me between $550 and $750 estimated. All depends on how my check comes in and how much I have left over or can borrow. I've been a customer for 6 years and one would think you would make the conscious effort to work with a long standing customer but obviously not. So my situation is changing and in the next couple of months I will purchase a storage unit and move away from Uhaul since Uhaul obviously does not value me as a customer it prefers the $75 to $150 in late fees over the original $139.95 ($1,679.40 yearly) then you became greedy and I'm sure Uhaul is using Covid as the excuse for the $10 increase in rent and now you stand to collect $1,799.40 yearly plus the outrageous late fees when you know 100 percent you will receive all rent monies from me. Greediness is what kills business and unwillingness to work with your good customers is what causes loss of customers and spread of bad customer service. Uhaul once was a name everyone respected and was proud to use and now we all look for alternative sources; ask yourselves why. Go onto the location off the west bank expressway in Marrero, LA where I am located and read the unpleasant remarks. I have called and complained numerous times. My father was in business since I was 2 years of age until the day he passed away at 75, I was 51. People still stop me and say they wish he were still here and what a great man he was and I could go on. That's when you know you have excellent customer satisfaction. I bet the Uhaul bean counters wouldn't receive shelter during a catastrophe from any white or blue collar workers.
