MARIA B | First ImpressionsI am unsatisfied with this experience because I had reserved a trailer at a local location 1 week in advance, but received a call the day before pick-up date that I needed to travel 25 miles out-of-state to pick up the equipment, instead. When I arrived, I was told that I HAD to return the equipment an hour earlier than my reservation time because another customer needed it. The earlier return time in addition to the additional milage from the original pick-up location added extra stress to the job and those involved.

COME ON, GO OFF REPEATEDLY ON MY TRIP. WATER LEAKAGE IN THE RIGHT REAR CAUSED CARDBOARD BOXES TO BE SOAKING WET AT MY DESTINATION. I HOPE I NEVER HAVE TO USE U-FAIL AGAIN..

PETER BI waited atleast 20 min maybe longer honestly probably a half hour for someone to come greet me at the counter. Went outside several times looking for an employee. Eventually I ordered my truck online and after 6 min I went and found the general manager who argued with me that I hadn't been there as long as I claimed. She even told me I only put in the ticket 6 minutes ago. I told her to check the cameras. She also told me she didn't have to rent me a truck, but I had already done it myself. Two weeks ago u rented a storage unit and a vehicle that had the fuel light come on within a quarter mile I returned it with half a tank and received no credit. I returned this one after driving 20 something miles without putting fuel into the vehicle and was charged 24 dollars. Doesn't seem fair being 45 dollars in the negative from the first trip because an unfurled truck so low the light was on with U-Haul still within with sight. I am considering renting a Penske vehicle and moving my storage unit during the months long moving process I am in.

VICKI VWe got sick from exhaust fumes coming into the rental truck. My boyfriend is still suffering from headaches, exhaustion, nausea, dizziness, lack of breath, and other symptoms related to Carbon monoxide poisoning. We plan to contact customer support about our concerns and doctor's visits over the poisoning. Although we mentioned the concern to the Uhaul facility, it was taken lightly/ blown over by the employees. All trucks should have carbon monoxide testers.

Bob CWoman at check in was rude and condescending. We had reserved the truck for 2 days and returned it 6 hours EARLY yet she yelled at my husband, slammed the door on the truck when checking it back in and gave no reason for her rudeness.
ERIC PI got my vehicle with around 1/4 tank before I got on the main road light popped up and said 50 miles to empty. I put 40 dollars in the tank and returned with 1/2 tank and was not credited for refueling vehicle. I want a credit as I will be renting a truck again to go a long with the storage unit I rented.

It would be nice if I could have pro-rated the final rental fee since I emptied the unit on 1/3/24 but am still being charged for the entire month of January. All in all a great experience for a "senior", single lady!
