Customer service inside the store was fine but once you walked out side you stand there waiting to be assisted and they look at you like you’re bothering them and I had to ask I’m here to get my keys and truck because they sent me outside to you guys. Then they hand me a key and keep talking. I said no what, they said go get the truck it’s somewhere back there. Then when I return it they just look at me like I know what I’m doing and completely ignored me. Till I BOTHERED them to find out what I need to do... they’re like well you got an email right? I said yes well then just leave the keys and they’ll bill you. Worst service ever. A complete JOKE

From the beginning of me ordering does truck and storage I was promised things that nobody wanted to comply with I was told $99 was a special that they would give me for renting a truck from Margate and returning to Pompano in one month free of storage then when I got to Margate to pick up the truck I was told that I don't have one month free storage I told him yes I do so she's finally figured it out what was going on and honored what I was told from the beginning from the 1-800 number but she said I can return the truck back to Margate I didn't have to go to Pompano I was also promised a storage unit in the size of a 10 x 15 by 8 and when I got there they rented that out to somebody else that day so I got stuck with a 10 by 10 by 8 I left I got a phone call a couple hours later telling me that I have to pay for the first month a storage and then I'll get the second month free I told him that's not what I was told from the beginning and when I left there I was told once again that I get the first month free she finally got a corrected I asked her what her name was so that when I dropped the truck off in the morning did I wouldn't have any problems she said her name was Allison and that it was fine I could drop the truck off at Margate and that there would be no problem with the first month of storage free I said okay I got there this morning went to check the truck in was told I was supposed to return it to Pompano and that I would have to pay for all the mileage and the storage unit I told them know I spoke to Allison last night she told me everything was fine but she cleared it up and that I could return it to Margate and I was told by Letoya with a nasty attitude which am I concerns should not even be at customer service because when I got there yesterday she was sitting on the phone talking to her bank about a Geico charge that was added to her account meanwhile there is three people waiting besides myself but I guess your personal conversations were more important than helping guest you might want to check in on that employer and see if she's qualified for that customer service position because to me I wouldn't hire her back to what happened Latoya tells me Allison is a new employer she don't know what she's talking about I told her that's not my problem and I was promised from the beginning that I was only paying $99 and I'm not paying any more than that I told her if I need to return the truck to Pompano that's fine give me an address and I will return it she wouldn't give me an address she kept giving me a nasty attitude so in return she got back the same attitude and when I asked her how to spell her name because of the nasty disposition she had she told me her name is stupid very ghetto very unprofessional ever since I reserved this truck and storage I've had problems every time I come into that facility in Margate I have problems last time I rented a truck from Port St Lucie to Margate and had a storage unit I had to deal with incompe

Educate the staff at the location regarding the self pick up. There was a shape test with no instructions and the person in chat only explanation was it was a shape test. Luckily the staff there was able to remedy the issue by overridingit and was able to process my reservation.

They did not enter the truck info for 3 days and then charged me for late payments and for not filling up the gas tank when I signed for the truck I also initialed that I had to return it with a 1/4 of a tank!! This location dropped the ball and then charged ME for it!! Not happy

Total me to tell them not to charge the card when I was dropping it off. Guy gets the truck. Doesn’t say anything, charges my card that I didn’t want charged to instantly and just walks away. Go inside guy named angel Ramos gives me attitude about that it was already charged and continued to argue with me until I told him to just return the money and charge my other card. Worst fucking human piece of shit I have dealt with in my life with uhaul. I’ll probably be using a different moving company after this. Seriously need to make sure the guys recieving the returned trucks do not charge the cards on file or if so they need to fucking speak up so we customers are aware who is charging what credit card. Fucking stupid system and asshole employees.

Unfortunately, the cargo van that was rented this time was not clean on the inside (a lot of sand as if the previous renter had been to the beach) or the outside (the van was very dirty/dusty). The inside of the van in the driver/passenger areas were also very dirty (no one had wiped out the cup holders or the console areas). We arrived to pick up the van at 7:45 p.m. as agreed and I do believe that the employees were so busy closing up that they just handed off the cargo van with no prep or consideration for the next customer (me). This is the first poor experience I've had with this location in the several years I have been utilizing the facility and its equipment (trucks/vans). The salesperson was a Mr. Ramos and when I made commentary about the sand inside of the van, he shrugged it off and commented that the van was a "newer model"... in other words, stop complaining.

The women that took my information asked if I wanted insurance and I responded "No" as I said I have my own coverage w/ USAA. She then responded that my auto insurance was not required as U-Haul provides their own and that the insurance she was speaking oft was for damage protection. I responded that if that's the case, I am declining any additional insurance. One week later when I returned the vehicle I was charged $70.00 plus dollars for damage insurance I "DECLINED". When I asked why I was being charged for this, the response was "You Signed for it". There is a reasonable amount of trust given from the customer to the company representative, at the time of rental, that the information given will accurately be entered into the system and/or agreement. Unfortunately, that was not the case w/ my last experience with U-Haul...

It took me forever to get my rental . And the gas tank wasn’t half full. I arrived 10 minutes earlier than I was to return equipment. I was then told I forgot to get gas. I asked if I could get gas not even .05 miles away & the guy insisted on charging me $11 additional for gas. I also paid for $15 in miles & only drove 12.87 of those miles so I would think that would go into consideration as well.

Ad from street says 19.99 rate. When you add on mileage almost double that. Gas rules hard to follow. Receiver of vehicle at drop off could be some what friendly. Overall got the job done but wasn’t impressed.

This U-Haul location in Margate has awesome customer service. Maranda, who is the manager is always quick to accommodate you for your truck needs as well as warehouses. I would never use any other U-Haul location because of the customer service I get on an every day basis.

Customer service should be main priority. When i realized my move would take a couple hours longer, i called to extend my rental thats when the lady on the phone named TRISHA which answers the phone for the 1700 margate location tells me it would be 90$ more and when i ask why she gets upset with me and answers “well thats what my computer says “ so i ask for clarification and she gets more upset treats customers like they are idiots because this is the SECOND time I speak with her. Then transfers me to silvia, whom I explain what happened and she doesn't even respond and says “I'm transferring you” and i get transferred to A lady working in the actual location at the store. I cant remmeber her name because I did not notate it, but she took her time to explain and was wonderful and sympathetic. Thank you so much to her because moving is stressful enough and I would think u-haul would teach that to its CUSTOMER SERVICE employees!

Made the reservation at an specific location with a truck size , 30 minutes before the arrange pick up time , received an email advising me that the pick up location was change as well as the truck size. As I arrived to the new location I was told that I will receive the new truck size for the same price as the one I reserved. But once I tried to cancel it because that's not the truck I wanted , magically the truck I originally wanted appear .

Back of truck was not cleaned out found a dirty shop rag in the back the floors in the cab we're sticky most likely due to the odd cup holder size. My closed bottle of soda keep tipping over and falling out onto the floor. The paddle lock on the back door didn't work. Other then that the truck performed it's duties as expected. The staff at this location was awesome and when I called to extend my contract I Informed them that when I picked up the truck I didn't inspect the inside of the back and when I got home I found that the dolly was not attached to the wall and the strap had been broken and that I didn't want to be charged for using it

A great deal of confusion on the pick up and the days before hand; I ordered one open trailer, and got an email saying my covered trailer was ready. Went back down, found out there was an actual motorcycle trailer, and was set, then was told it was not for 1 way rental. On day of pick up, confusion, with the owner telling me they could get another trailer there but it would take an hour or more, which I did not have the time to wait for. Overall not the best experience

I've had multiple issues with my hitch connection over the years and it's people in the world like maranda dillenbeck , she immediately took into account that I've had several different hitches installed over the years but the connection to the one on my truck something always goes bad and my electric connection alone for the part is 90.00 plus installation,,, however maranda checked my records and although I still paid to have some work done ,,, maranda took charge of the whole situation and at a fair price --- she will keep me going to uhaul and i would 100% recommend her location thanks to maranda she's top notch and should be recognized for her mind set as a leader and to find a solution she is an asset to the company,,, please tell her I said THANK-YOU !!!

Margate was great BUT I was supposed to pick up my 5x8 trailer at the Coconut Creek store on Johnson Road, where I had made my reservation a week or two in advance, but when I got there they did not have a 5x8 and sent me to Margate. I was very unhappy as I did NOT receive an email or text ahead of time telling me to go to your Margate store instead. Also, we have storage unit at the Coconut Creek U-Haul and although they are supposed open at 9 am on Sundays, I had to wait until 9:30 before the doors were opened to storage. So I had to wait to get into my storage unit in addition to being sent to another location for my trailer. I am very unhappy with your Coconut Creek store!

I was very unhappy with my whole experience. I reserved at a place that was right around the corner from me so I did not have to pay much in mileage. I had a reservation for 4pm and I get a text message at 4pm to inform me that my truck would be at another place and not until 430 and many miles away. I spent so much time on the phone with uhaul and trying to get a reason why. I got transferred to many different people and another time I got completely disconnected. It wasn’t until another call that I was informed of the 50$ guarantee. Well I still ended up still having to pay for mileage and gas over the 50$.

I would never go to another U-Haul location. Maranda is an amazing manager and most of the employees are so easy to deal with. The location is always clean and I never have trouble with pick up or drop off if my trucks.

Fix Express checkin. It would be graded an "F" by me. I waited 22 minutes in a line with every other customer, just to talk with a UHAUL representative. Why no Express checkout? Worse than that, they did not have vehicle on lot to match my reservation. Finally they provided me a larger truck st same price. This is the second time in the past 4 weeks that this UHAUL facility was not aware of my reservation done online.

There was a line of about 5 people with only 1 person behind the counter. It took me 45 minutes to rent a trailer. When I asked if the trailer had "tie downs," the lady responded with "we don't have those." I then asked "Then how do I secure the load I'm transporting?" and he reply was [with an attitude], "This is the only trailer we have. Do you still want it?" Stupid answer to my legit question. Not only do they need more staff, but they need to be trained on the equipment they sell/rent as well. I will not be back.

I had a great pick-up experience, went on my way and pulling back in I noticed that my personal vehicle was moved. I asked who moved my car and the gentleman checking me in said that he's holding my account and I should speak with the manager. I go in to speak with the manager (Maranda), she stated that she had to pay for TWO rentals and a tow to move my car because I was blocking two trucks. However, an employee outside told me that I could park there. I asked TWICE, if it would be OK to park there and he said yes. Miranda, called me a liar by saying "there's no way possible an employee would tell you to block our trucks". The young man came in and confirmed that he did in fact tell me to park where I was. I checked out and left, but what disappointed me most of all was that Maranda never even apologized for accusing me of being a liar. That was, unprofessional because she accused me before even speaking with the employee first hand. If that's how a manager handles business, she shouldn't be responsible for that type of responsibility. I want a phone apology from someone other than Maranda and I DEMAND a written apology from Maranda!

Customer Service Desk is Slow and Over loaded for a Saturday morning. I'm questioned how well my towing vehicle is, (which in Excellent condition), only to be hooked up to a car caddy with none working lights, had to switch, then go back inside to let them know to switch trailer on paper. Not Good customer service.

Make sure the van is clean. I arrived right before closing, so I did not have time to inspect cleanliness inside the van in the dark. The inside of the van smelled disgusting. Someone had a can of coke or something that sprayed the entire inside of the van. I was sticky everywhere. We had to drive with the windows open because it smelled so bad. I like this location, rented in the past from here. Service person was really nice. Will just remember I NEED to check cleanliness first. Don'e expect it to be clean.

Had a reservation the day before and when I got to the place they changed my pickup time to an hour later, my truck was not reserved , staff was not helpful, the lady manager was no help and very rude, she wore an owner name tag. So I guess she could do anything she likes, her location was on 441 in margate fl. Would never go back to that place.
