Have my reserved equipment at More convenient pickup location. I reserved over a week ahead but had to travel 30 miles to pickup our truck. I drove further to get the truck than the distance we moved. Be more understanding about required moving time required. We had to get the truck, load the furnishings from the condo, be at closing of sale of condo the next midday, then go to closing on house, then go to unload furnishings, then return truck. Uhaul's understanding of time required is unreasonably short. I have used Uhaul several times since 1984 and think you are administratively out of touch regarding customer service. Uhaul is out of touch regarding time to move and too focused on the distance factor. We moved 24 miles but had to have time for cleaning and two closings besides loading and unloading inconvenient pickup and return locations.Dennis S.

There should be some type of credit for returning equipment early I had returned it 3 days earlier and was told no credit for unused days after I was told by employee that they might.Javier M.
Before going to the location I called to verify the trailer was available at the desired location since UHaul has begun the scam where you rent a truck or trailer at one location then you're later told it's not available at the â€œrentedâ€ location so you have to drive someplace else to get what you reserved. This is a horrible practice and has made me make UHaul a â€œprovider of last resortâ€. When I called to make the reservation your rude â€œcustomer serviceâ€ associate wanted all of my personal information before the jerk would even tell me if the trailer I wanted was available at the location. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR - I HAVE BEEN RENTING FROM UHAUL FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS AND YOUR TOTAL DISREGARD FOR YOUR CUSTOMER HAS NEVER BEEN WORSE. UHAL IS MY VERY LAST CHOICE WHEN I NEED A TRUCK OR TRAILER AND WOULD CELEBRATE IF I HEARD UHAUL WENT OUT OF BUSINESS. YOU'VE BECOME A HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.DAVID V.

I made reservation in August for a 10 ft truck at cottage grove location for 9/7 at 5pm. Reservation 82295229. When we arrived we were told there was no truck. They said I was supposed to be notified that morning which I wasn't. We had to drive to u haul on white bear av. A terrible way to run a business. So disappointed. I tried to call Berry Wood manager at this location but phone is never answered. I paid for rental. Jeanne boesel & my son mark boesel drove the truck. I expect compensation for the inconvenience & time lost. Truck was returned last night at 7:30 pm. Only needed it for 4 hours. I'll be waiting for a response.Jeanne B.

I reserved the can for 2 days sunday to monday. When my uncle has to pick up the can he was told that the can should be back in 4 hours because it is only reserved for 4 hours. The 2-day rental became 4 hours? We have to ask more people to come and help us move. What would have been a smooth moving became a chaotic 1 because of their unprofessionalism.GLENN H.

The trailer smelled clean! Never have I picked up a trailer and it smelled clean. It was also very clean on the inside. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was very busy and they did great getting through the line of people fairly quickly. I absolutely LOVED that there was a person to hook it all up and even better to unhook it when I returned it. Other locations I always have to do myself as they have all gone home by the time I return. Extremely pleasant experience. Store was clean and had tons of fun stuff to help with a move.TANIA P.

Great experience overall. Truck ran well and the customer service was excellent. The guy even ran the truck over to where I parked my car in the back. I asked another guy a question while doing my walk around inspection. He was extremely helpful. Turns out he's the new manager, with less than a month at that location. Told him that I'd heard about the customer service comments from earlier customers but I'd only experienced great customer service. Even the check-in went well. All in all, a great experience. Caution if rain in forecast! We had our U-Haul overnight, we had rain here and upon opening the truck to unload the next day, many of our boxes were wet a few had collapsed on each other. We had wet furniture, including a nice cherry wood entry table as well as our couch cushions which are now finally dry 2 days later. Thankfully we only had 2 glass containers break. I was told that it would be mentioned to the manager, but the trucks are only water resistant. I have yet to hear anything back from the manager. Not to mention, the truck had an obvious issue with a side flange and a hole in the roof that looked like it was taped with some metallic tape, that the U-Haul return rep and I both looked at. Think twice about U-Haul if it is supposed to rain.Johnanthan C.

What a great rental experience! I've been looking for a truck but may elect to rent instead. The only downside to the entire experience was the return app didn't work. Someone at the site tried to help but was also unable to â€œshare my locationâ€. Suggest instead of sharing location, have a location ID at or on the key drop box. They called me a week ago, just a few days after I got the unit, and asked if I'd moved out. I asked why they'd assume that and the guy said, "because there's only this round thing left in your unit". Just days after renting the $129 space, the uhaul employees opened my rented space!! I just can't believe it. NOW to the best part. The monthly rental was effectively ended abruptly by uhaul as soon as that Wagon Wheel Chandelier has been moved out. I received half a month and they sent me a move out receipt THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE.travis n. | Overall Experience

They had the vehicle all the way backed up and touching a cement barrier so I couldn't look in the back. They didn't give me the appliance dolly I ordered and I couldn't check because of the barrier. I went in to ask if I could upgrade and he immediately said no, there's nothing. When I went back in to get my key after check in on my phone, someone was checking in and got a truck right then and he "couldn't believe she got one right then" when all he had to do was look in the system to see if I could upgrade and it would've been mine. When I got to my place and noticed no dolly, I called THIRTEEN times and they never answered or they hung up over and over. I called the corporate 800 number and they couldn't get ahold of them either. WORST place to get a truck.Crystal K.

Communicate clearly to customers about the lack of commitment in providing available trucks to customers. It's extremely frustrating when you book a truck a month in advance and u-haul does not have one available and there is nothing they can do.JOSEPH O.
The interior was sticky and I felt gross sitting inside. Also, I was dropping the truck off after hours, so there was supposed to be a checklist of things I needed to do before putting the key in the drop box. The first step was to have my phone verify my location to make sure that I dropped it off at the same place, but it kept saying that it could not receive my location, so I couldn't do the rest of the checklist. I tried what the help button suggested and made sure in my settings and apps themselves that it would allow all my apps to use my location. I even used a different browser to make sure it wasn't just Safari, but it kept saying that it could not verify my location. After 20 min of trying, I locked up the vehicle and put the key in the deposit. On the bill I was charged $20 because I couldn't go through the checklistâ€¦ It's rather frustrating when you can't do something, and it's not my fault, and then get charged for it.Cody H.

Everything was perfect. Kevin was communicative, even calling me 2 weeks before the appointment to tell me he could get a different hitch of the same quality for $80 cheaper. I got good reminder texts and Kevin was waiting when i arrived for the appointment. He took me to my car and talked to me about what I could expect. I stopped by on February 3, 2021, the purpose of my visit was to rent the adjacent unit. My experience with the young lady Ronai (excuse the spelling) was not pleasant. She was borderline rude and condescending. I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me, as her elder I felt she lacked respect not only for the job but for me as a consumer. I rarely feel the need to send negative feedback, I get it when someone is having an off day, but in this instance, my observation was that this behavior was not a one-time occurrence. However, I do feel that Ronai has the potential to be an awesome young lady and future leader if only she learns not to have such open and obvious contempt for those around her. I got charged $20 because the app didn't work for picking up my location when I went to drop the van off. I even called after hours and no one responded. Also got charged $20 for $5 worth of gas. I was too exhausted to fill up the minimal amount as I had worked all day and had a finite amount of time to move heavy and many items only to do it all again the next day. Uhaul shouldn't expect renters to refill tanks. Or at least penalize them terribly when they can't. The space is also too small for 195.00 a month . When I checked in the clerk only gave me the rental vehicle and didn't notice I was renting a space. I am severely disappointed.Kathy H. | First Impressions

At 1:30 I realized I needed more "room" for my move. Within 30 mins I had left, rented a truck and was back home loading it. Then, the next day I was able to unload the truck into the storage area. Confusing service with uhaul. Kept getting sent to different locations. None of their staff was not trained on how to remove our trailer at final stop. My driver had to show him how to do this, and then do it himself. Very odd. Obviously, need to be trained on your equipment. Told me I was at the wrong location. Had me call my insurance agent, then lost all the info. Manager had her put down a fake insurance policy number. Very unorganized, but very friendly. Need training on their equipment. Not professional at all there. Talking about getting high before work. Manager eating while talking at the desk. They all said things, I would not allow in my business. Including the manager.
