SANDRA ROver all the U Haul experience was very frustrating. We reserved a trailer in Inver Grove Heights-close to our home. At 6:34am the day of pick up we are notified Pickup is in Maplewood. I work in Bloomington across town. Facility was ok. Called corporate at 7am and told by Matt I could pick up trailer in Bloomington. He was wrong. According to Mandy-not very customer oriented, that Matt cannot change locations due to hundreds of trailers around the country. My closest alternative trailer was in LeSuear-really? The drop off in Naples was terrific.
EVANS CFalse advertisement!! $19.95 plus tax plus insurance and the small little fee which I knew but it ended up to be $100 for only 4 hours. I even pumped gas into the uhual! If I knew it was gonna cost that much, I would have never pump gas into it. Save me 10 bucks to pay for what they charged me.
HOUA VApp is terribly slow and buggy. You can't pre-complete anything on the app. You have to wait in the parking lot. Then I went in to get the keys and it took 10 minutes for someone to show up. The return process is garbage too. The app is terrible, slow, and the key return is not user friendly. There's a little tab you are supposed to pull to open and it is not evident. Almost went home with the keys as it was after hours. All in all, I don't blame the staff at the location, I blame corporate U-Haul and their non existent user experience team. Feels like upper management half baked a product and pooped it out to the stores. Use your own UX before releasing it. Hot garbage….
Kyle KI would have rated it higher, but it is winter and the passenger window was left open an inch after the last user. Also, I started driving out of the U-Haul lot and the rolling door was left completely open. I didn't think I should have to make sure this was closed before I left the lot. Overall, the staff was helpful and professional.

CHAD BI reserved a cargo van. The woman running this location must frequently call in sick, as the employees were verbally frustrated and putting out fires of hers. Upon arrival, the van wasn't there. They "upgraded" me to a 10 ft truck, which was advertised at the same rate as the cargo van, but it has poorer fuel economy and is much more difficult to maneuver. The truck had jumper cables in it, the window advertising, and McDonalds wrappers in the door.When I received the emailed receipt, I was informed that I was charged $17 for an 8th of a tank of fuel despite the fact that I paid for gas down the road to make sure not to be charged. I called, and when they checked, they said I was correct, but offered no confirmation of a refund. As it stands, my card shows the balance of the receipt with a $17 charge for gas. I'm mostly upset with the extra charge on gas-I'm struggling financially, and spending $11 for gas down the road and then another $17 because of UHaul's mistake means I'm on the hook for $28 for an 8th of a tank of gas. Seventeen dollars is less than a rounding error for this branch of U-Haul's day, but it's a couple of meals for me.

GENE LI'm wondering when the charge for contract 18016214 will be charged to my credit card. I rented the truck 12/15/24, returned it after closing, and haven't seen the charge on my credit card as of day end 12/16/24 though I've received a lot of emails with confirmations, a receipt, etc. All the emails are confusing and I'm wondering if I did everything required to call everything all done. Tracked on my shoes into the house and all the way to the trailer. Even with this experience i would go back because the people were very nice

AYANNA JFix the truck fuel gage, I was charged 2gal of fuel when I've told the staff the issue. The gas handle had clicked not once but three times, but the fuel gage was still setting at 3qt full. He told me it was ok to leave as is.

ALBERT JWe did online check in and followed directions of getting the key. There was no key in the lock box. Went inside to get help, there was an African American worker he was helping someone else … the owner came in and helped me. He had a name tag that said owner. Both of these two people had very rude attitude. He said what can I help you with? I said we rented a uhaul and followed the online directions and there was no keys in the lock box. The African American worker cut me off and said, well they just walked up the the building and did their reservations so there wouldn't be no keys. You have to do that days ahead. I replied that I reserved the truck a few days ago. The owner and the other worker were super rude and have bad attitudes and customer service. But when we returned the truck there was an Asian worker and her was very nice to us
NANCY LI made a reservation for a small open trailer with ramp for $24.95 that was showing as available online. When my husband went to pick it up it was not available and was given a bigger trailer for $34.95. They should have honored the price of $24.95 because we did not need a bigger trailer. They even have a pop up during the online reservation that they give $50 if they do not have the trailer available when you show up. We would not claim that $50 but at least honor the original price, it was their problem that they did not have the trailer as the website was showing.

DAVID WOn pickup, we pulled out of the lot and realized the check engine light was on, so turned around, drove back, then waited about 15 minutes for another truck. Would have been nice if that had been checked prior to us taking the truck. The people working there were super nice, though. When I called to extend the reservation, the person helping me was not nice at all. So I went online to extend the reservation and didn't have a problem with extending it.

ANDREW KGeorge W was excellent. He was very efficient. He kindly showed me how to unhook the trailer (if our move took longer and we ended up returning the trailer after close). The trailer gate was best I've ever used; it lowered slowly and laid flat. My brother-in-law and my nephew both commented how nice the gate worked. Thank you for helping make the move an easier day.

When the lights from my vehicle weren't working for the trailer, after I got home, disappointed of course, I called and spoke with George, and he was willing to swap the trailer for a 10' truck. I was very relieved that I would be able to move my stuff into storage that day. George also was working by himself when I arrived just before 1030am which was my pick up time, and there were about 4 customers in front of me. One suggestion I would make to your website is to CLEARLY state that you do not accept CashApp or any other prepaid card, and that it must be either a credit card or a card with a major bank.

I was told that I would get partial payment back for my storage unit, didn't happen and I need that money. I was also told by owner that upon renting the U-Haul which I had a deposition that I could pay cash. They denied me when I went in. I want my account credit back half of December for storage rental and some compensate for being lied to. I will make this public if it does not happen!

I paid for a full month 2days before I moved out. I talked to the office and U-Haul's policy is to NOT REFUND ANYTHING. Absolutely ridiculous that I paid for a month and moved out a few days later with no prorated rate. Never again.

Placed a call to HQ and no one has followed up. Additionally, I was just charged 200.00 for a truck that was 30.00 plus mileage - I only went from St Paul to Bloomington and back. I would like someone to follow up.

They gave me the wrong lock for my "free" month of storage only to return three days before checkout to find other locks on my locker and no one had a key! It took me calling every single uhaul number in existence to get a hold of the marketing company executive assistant who helped me find a way to get their lock off because not one other person gave any kind of a s*** and were not shy to tell you. The marketing company president and gm of the location never even turned up. I will continue to get my experience shared to corporate quality control.

You could be in the office and the workers would act like they didn't see you till they wanted to. When working with people an acknowledgment goes along way. The last couple days of cleaning out my unit I dealt with 2 of the workers there. Both were very helpful and nice. One of the gentlemen came off of his break and helped me check out when I had questions about one of the online checkout steps. He then checked me out right in the office. Threw conversation I found out he was the manager and the old staff was no longer there. With the new staff I would totally recommend this facility 100 percent.

I asked why they'd assume that and the guy said, "because there's only this round thing left in your unit". Just days after renting the $129 space, the uhaul employees opened my rented space!! I just can't believe it. NOW to the best part. The monthly rental was effectively ended abruptly by uhaul as soon as that Wagon Wheel Chandelier has been moved out. I received half a month and they sent me a move out receipt THAT I DIDN'T AUTHORIZE.

She was borderline rude and condescending. I did not appreciate the way she spoke to me, as her elder I felt she lacked respect not only for the job but for me as a consumer. I rarely feel the need to send negative feedback, I get it when someone is having an off day, but in this instance, my observation was that this behavior was not a one-time occurrence. However, I do feel that Ronai has the potential to be an awesome young lady and future leader if only she learns not to have such open and obvious contempt for those around her. Thank you, PMFO

Also got charged $20 for $5 worth of gas. I was too exhausted to fill up the minimal amount as I had worked all day and had a finite amount of time to move heavy and many items only to do it all again the next day. Uhaul shouldn't expect renters to refill tanks. Or at least penalize them terribly when they can't. The space is also too small for 195.00 a month . When I checked in the clerk only gave me the rental vehicle and didn't notice I was renting a space. I am severely disappointed.

My driver had to show him how to do this, and then do it himself. Very odd. Obviously, need to be trained on your equipment. Told me I was at the wrong location. Had me call my insurance agent, then lost all the info. Manager had her put down a fake insurance policy number. Very unorganized, but very friendly. Need training on their equipment. Not professional at all there. Talking about getting high before work. Manager eating while talking at the desk. They all said things, I would not allow in my business. Including the manager. Staff needs to be trained on being professional and organized. We were surprised to find that at Uhaul.
