Almost every part of the experience was good, but after extending my rental an extra two days using your online portal, I received a phone call from a particularly grouchy young lady. She spoke to me as if I were some reproachful urchin trying to keep a rental van. I did my best to remain respectful and patient, but honestly I have not been spoken to like that in memory and I did nothing wrong. I didn't catch her name, but I can't imagine it would be difficult to sort out who she is by simply visiting the location and smelling the air for a rotten attitude.PHILLIP L.

Uhaul app doesn't work. I can't sign in to the app. I have valid username and password on website but can't login to app. While waiting in long line to pick up the truck, talking to other customers, they have the same problem. So this is my only negative issue with the Uhaul experience. Fix the App please. I would like to avoid the long line at the pickup location.ROBERT B.

I want to say thank you to John Walker for going above and beyond to locate a truck and auto transport trailer. Nothing was available out of town and in town (AT was scarce along with a truck) but he repaired an AT on lot and resolved the problem. John Walker, General Manager of UHaul in Madison TN is a top notch individual. I showed up to rent a Motorcycle Trailor and in the process discovered our truck wires were broken. John (in the pouring rain) spliced the wires and made new connections. Then we discovered that fuses were bad which he did research and replaced. I rented a 26' truck that was part of the location's own fleet. The inside of the truck was acceptably clean. HOWEVER, the outside of the truck was filthy filthy filthy. Tire rims/hubs were so covered with oily filth that you could not assume the wheels were safe. The hood latch on the passenger side was not latched. The windshield was covered with bugs on the outside and sneeze/soda spew on the inside of the glass. The outside body and doors of the truck were too filthy to touch, unless you wanted black yuck/soot all over yourself and stuff. The cargo area was filthy, filthy, filthy - like a homicide had taken place multiple times inside. UNACCEPTABLE. We, mopped, mopped, mopped the cargo floor and washed, washed, washed the cargo interior sidewalls before using the truck. One would think that a $1,300 rental would be met by a clean and safe looking truck.Clarence N.

Changed my pickup location 2 days before pickup date, went to new location on morning of my moving day and there was no key in the lockbox and the lot was unattended. Called and was told sorry and I would have to go to another location and they would call the manager and notify them of my issue. Every person I encountered at your fleet store in Madison did not speak or even make eye contact to acknowledge me. I stood in the lobby for several minutes and then went through the app to finish the pickup. It told me to leave the lobby and go search through a pretty large parking lot to find the truck. Then after finding it I was instructed to walk back to the lobby to get a key from an employee. I hope you can see that is not good service of many different levels. The young lady on the phone offered me $50 off which is very inappropriate for the morning I had thanks to uhaul. I was late all day on my schedule and I had to incur additional expenses to the moving crew I hired. Please let me know if I can answer any questions regarding today.Neil C.

The original drop-off location on Annex Drive, Nashville, is a 1/4 mile from my home and is where I'd planned to do the return. They wouldn't accept me dropping it off there for some reason. I was told I'd have to go to this location 15 miles away. NOT HAPPY!!!WADE P.

The pickup truck I rented had a rough idle and probably needed a tune up. I'm no mechanic but I can feel a misfire/rough idle easily. The truck only had 61,000 miles, so I feel Uhaul should be more thorough with maintenance on their vehiclesJanice M.

Never went inside. Someone walked out when I pulled up. Never greeted me just stuck his hand out for keys. I had to get him to check the back for dolly and blankets cause I wanted him present while I was there but he acted like it didn't matter. We also swept the back of truck and clean inside cause said we would get something back for it but never saw it. The only good thing about this experience was the pick up.JUSTIN M.

I transferred my larger #45 unit to someone that shared half the space the last few months, we went inside the store in June 2020 with driver's licenses, credit cards, signed, auto pay, no longer my unit. In Dec 2020, I got the smaller #91 unit and discovered that my name was still on her #45 account online, I couldn't get to my #91 online because I was listed as hers for #45, her info also on it instead of my #91, couldn't pay my account or set up my usual auto pay. I received aggressive emails with a former manager's name at the bottom, the new manager of the past year not on the e-mails. No one could fix any of this with MANY unpleasant and lengthy attempts, no one could take responsibility, calling the 800# didn't help after much effort, and could never reach the Madison storage unit location by phone. I also had an especially hostile encounter with the employee Rory who did not respect me as a customer or believe anything that I said I was told and charged me a $39 late fee the first time I went in to try to get auto pay fixed in person since I couldn't get anything fixed online or through the 800#. The worker must have had a really bad day. We arrived 15 minutes before closing with 2 trucks to return and 2 storage units reserved, and the man on staff walked in from his truck, told me they closed in 15 minutes and I should come back tomorrow. I asked to get started with the time available and finish our transaction- he then threw something down, and was as minimally helpful as possible in acknowledging and printing receipt.
