Poor customer service, I was rented an already rented storage locker. When i called customer service they where no help, they said that they sent the info to the location and the changes was never changed. for some reason i could not get a hold of the location. i never waited less then an hour to speak to a live person.

Jarrett rented me a unit and didn’t take the lock off. He left for the day. My items just laying out at the dock. I’m sleeping in the truck because I couldn’t get back in. I called customer service to ask not to be charged extra for the truck rental because of the employee negligence and Jennifer said no. She was charging for another day. Now I have to miss work because the storage workers don’t come until 7am

The Hispanic guy that helped at the service desk was great. The printer was down but he was awesome in trying to relay the transparency with uhauls rental information. Guy at the desk 12 out of 10. The facility for storage, the docks were dirty had bottles and trash blowing around. This was most likely from garbage humans just emptying their cars of trash on the floor. Maybe put some trash cants around the area? And a sign that says (Please help keeping our facility clean do not litter). Also the storage unit floor had something black and sticky and it got all over the end of my couch. Because I had the couch standing up on end. Maybe occasionally wash and clean the storage rooms after every 6months of use.? Would have been more annoyed with my stay but the guy at the front desk was great so it evened out my overall experience.

Hire more people and get more trucks. It took an hour for me to get seen at the desk to check in because there were only 2 people working. There were no trucks available so I had to settle for a van that didn't fit all of my things. The staff were very patient and polite but they need more help.

The wait time was ridiculous and online options for check in and anything related to the reservation did not work. And help line calls had wait times of over 30 min. Overall poor service experience. The 10' vehicle itself was fine.

The wait to get to the counter was very long, due in part to having only one representative helping customers by herself for about 20 minutes. After that, someone finally came to assist her. I tried to do online check-in, but was constantly told that I was at the wrong location - I was not. I then tried to scan the bar code at the front door, but again, was told I was at the wrong location. There is something amiss at the 4100 W. Fullerton Ave, Chicago, U-haul location. They need more representatives; it's ridiculous to wait 30 minutes in a line of 10 people to be helped. This location also needs to fix their online check-in system, as well as the bar code, because they were not working at all.

Staff at the Fullerton Rd, Chicago location was great, both times I went there. JC and Michelle at the front desk were friendly and helpful. A different Michelle in the storage area was extremely helpful on both my visits. She went above and beyond. She made my move out of the storage unit less stressful.

Uhaul has been horrible during this whole process. The app/website wasn't working for anyone to do their "easy" pickup so the line was very long. I stood in like for 45 minutes when I should have been able to complete the process in just a few minutes. The people at the desk were wonderful, uhaul was the problem.

After waiting in line for two hours. I tried the self ExpressCheck out. I was unable to open the lock to the equipment door. After I told them I no longer wanted the vehicle after spending all morning at the location. I never entered drove the vehicle. And I was still charged. Never again!

CJ and the desk staff are top notch customer service reps. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The equipment staff was also very helpful and courteous. I even had to call back from our of state to ask a question (they give you their name and number if you have a problem) and CJ answered the phone and took care of me.

We were surprised the location did not have TV/picture frame boxes in stock. We were counting on getting those the morning of the move, and we ended up having to go out and buy them from Home Depot, which added time between when our truck was packed and when we could leave to move our things across three states.

We got in later in the day after a long drive and ran into trouble with the key access. Because the office hours were short I was concerned we would be stuck with half of our stuff in the unit and half of it in the truck. Luckily the staff was still there (beyond office hours) to help.

I have been a Uhaul customer for over ten years, renting trucks and storage facilities to move myself, my former wife, and two of my grown children. Always very satisfied. The team at Fullerton in Chicago this week was excellent! JC at the front desk was patient and professional. He gave me clear directions on how to find and access my new unit. When I got lost, Carlos in the warehouse took the time to walk me to the access point and showed me where to park, how to use the garage door and lift, and where to find the carts and elevator. Michelle on the second floor was friendly and responsive in helping get an alternate storage unit. In every way, a great local team at Fullerton. This does not happen my accident. That's why I asked for the manager and thanked him. At the Uhaul national level, I have been very frustrated the last ten days with this truck rental for a move to a different state. I did not realize how crazy-busy Uhaul is during the summer. I also realize that many companies are having a difficult time hiring and maintaining good staff. I can never seem to be able to talk with a local office. This is not an accident. It seems like a process system. After several rings, calls always go to the national office. Long wait times, with calls sometimes dropped. I get conflicting information from different agents at the national office. Quality of service is inconsistent in terms of knowledge and focus on helping the customer. Two days ago (July 12) I spent 90 minutes in the hot sun trying to get access to my truck rental. The local pick up was a convenience store with one employee who could not help me. Three calls to get a national office agent on the phone to help me were completely unsuccessful. I finally gave up, overheated, exhausted, and very annoyed with Uhaul national office. Uhaul lost a truck rental, and I lost half a day. Overall, I have been a satisfied customer with Uhaul for over ten years.

Such long wait times, every time I'm there for anything in the office. They work hard, so I wonder if they just don't have enough staff? I have waited 45 min - 1.5 Hours in line the last 4 times I was there. Totally unacceptable. Also, having only 1 elevator for the wing of the building my storage unit is in, is just ludicrous. It's a feat of impossibility to get the elevator, ever.

i rented a storage unit, when i arrived with my furniture the unit was occupied. when i attempted to call for assistance, they told me i had a 25 min wait time i waited over an hour and then i was hung up on. we ended up finding an empty storage lock and put the stuff in there till the next morning.

I had to update my reservation 3 different times. I could not update my reservation on-line; EVEN THOUGH YOUR AUTOMATED VOICE SYSTEM SAID THAT THIS WAS AN OPTION. I had to stay on the phone for a sales rep only to be transferred to a Scheduler. This was frustrating! I was disconnected from one scheduler multiple times over a period of an hour! This frustration could have been avoided if I could have made my reservation changes on-line. One positive : you use recycled blue jeans for your moving blankets.

H we lo buttons on elevators and hallway s are never answered. No one is ever there to assist you once around storage compartments. 4 th floor bathroom door doesn’t shu completely for privacy. . Also there should be “do not block “ signs on those 3 brown garage style doors towards the back of the facility. People keep blocking other customers in . Another thing, when you call your general number, why would you have a pre recorded message with a guy sounding like he’s answering your live call. The message starts off with him pausing after he thanks you for calling Uhaul making you answering him back. This Orta Tate’s an already frustrated customer that never can get a hold of a live person when calling you number. Hire more people. At these prices and such a big facility I don’t see why you can’t afford it .

C J and Jackie were extremely helpful and accommodating for my odd family emergency needs with my storage unit(s) over the last two months. Having to juggle my life in Chicago and Ohio has been near impossible and their willingness to help me find a way to downsize and then close out the unit was so profoundly helpful. If there is anything within your system that gives them some kind of bonus or high rating that leads to a pay increase or bonus please do that for them! they clearly work hard and I am one of so many other customers but their attention was as if there was no one else there - truly appreciated and truly great!!

I was give an storage unit that wasn’t available have to wait two an half hour to get new than I reserve a large was no longer available was give a medium unit with no commendation because not knowing the larger unit was available I had to throw some my item away. Other than that staff was friendly and helpful while they was working after hour no assistance was a nightmare

My storage unit was infested with rats. I was cut a settlement from your company and was they charged for an entire year. You harassed me and my family with letters for months. You made it seem as if I was paying my bills as I had to explain to them why I constantly was receiving letters. I could not get in touch with anyone about rectifying this situation and I still don’t know if you will try to say I owe you money. This experience was terrible and I will never use your company again

Elevator was not working to get to the second floor.. Called the front office and waited forever for someone to come. After all that waiting I was told elevator was not working! Why wasn't I told??? When filling my information? CJ was very helpful but the co worker tall white guy was not he just walked away maybe y'all should fire him🤔

The person who was attending to me did not accept my termination on 10 20 21. She wanted to charge me a extra month, I left, 10 25 21is not accurate date, the accurate is 10 20 21. There for in asking for consideration for the accurate rate and date which would be 0 $.

I cannot say nothing bad this facility. When I had a hard time making my payment they work with me until I was back on my feet. They are understanding Friendly,and they care about their customer. All the staff were so concerned if there was a problem they Help when it was needed. So I give them A shout out THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING.

How hard is the move out? Some people suffer at that moment, people, need time to move out, money, and comprehension, and extra hands people has to deal with all that. However.U-HAUL at Fullerton, is not a right place to storage., Since I got there, I wasn’t treated with respect and it does not exist comprehension. U-HAUL don’t have garbage can, if is garbage to throw away, clients have to pay. So, how is possible that. ? I apologize for this comment , definitely I can’t go back and neither recommend.
