The team couldn't have been friendlier! I not only rented a storage room with this location, but later on a truck. There was a very friendly an knowledgeable woman there everytime I checked and my apologies for not knowing her name. I was impressed at how quickly and efficiently I was able to rent the truck after arriving at this site. From opening the door to driving away was less than ten minutes, most of that time was me getting familiar with the truck's controls. Staff was friendly and efficient even while busy.Ron K.

This location was great, but overall my U-Haul experience was extremely dissatisfactory. My location was changed 3 times on the morning of my move due to the locations not being open. I was not given an answer to why I was scheduled at these facilities that were closed, and this led my location to be 5 miles further outside of my apartment. This accumulated more money from me and a horrible inconvenience to myself and the movers I scheduled to be at my apartment. I would not recommend renting a U-Haul if you are on a strict timeline for your move.Lauren P.

Contacting any uhaul location is impossible! The locations automatically forward phone calls to national service. Wasted HOURS and DAYS on the phone in queues only to get representatives that weren't able to help. Unfortunately the reps do not have the proper information on hand. UGH! The web site didn't work properly numerous times. That being said when we finally had our pods delivered the young lady did an excellent job. In my opinion RUN from uhaul and their storage podsEVA G.

The Hispanic guy that helped at the service desk was great. The printer was down but he was awesome in trying to relay the transparency with uhauls rental information. Guy at the desk 12 out of 10. The facility for storage, the docks were dirty had bottles and trash blowing around. This was most likely from garbage humans just emptying their cars of trash on the floor. Maybe put some trash cants around the area? And a sign that says (Please help keeping our facility clean do not litter). Also the storage unit floor had something black and sticky and it got all over the end of my couch. Because I had the couch standing up on end. Maybe occasionally wash and clean the storage rooms after every 6months of use.? The wait to get to the counter was very long, due in part to having only one representative helping customers by herself for about 20 minutes. After that, someone finally came to assist her. I tried to do online check-in, but was constantly told that I was at the wrong location - I was not. I then tried to scan the bar code at the front door, but again, was told I was at the wrong location. There is something amiss at the 4100 W. Fullerton Ave, Chicago, U-haul location. They need more representatives; it's ridiculous to wait 30 minutes in a line of 10 people to be helped. This location also needs to fix their online check-in system, as well as the bar code, because they were not working at all.Maria L.

Uhaul has been horrible during this whole process. The app/website wasn't working for anyone to do their "easy" pickup so the line was very long. CJ and the desk staff are top notch customer service reps. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The equipment staff was also very helpful and courteous. I have been a Uhaul customer for over ten years, renting trucks and storage facilities to move myself, my former wife, and two of my grown children. Always very satisfied. The team at Fullerton in Chicago this week was excellent! JC at the front desk was patient and professional. He gave me clear directions on how to find and access my new unit. When I got lost, Carlos in the warehouse took the time to walk me to the access point and showed me where to park, how to use the garage door and lift, and where to find the carts and elevator. Michelle on the second floor was friendly and responsive in helping get an alternate storage unit. In every way, a great local team at Fullerton. This does not happen my accident. That's why I asked for the manager and thanked him. At the Uhaul national level, I have been very frustrated the last ten days with this truck rental for a move to a different state. I did not realize how crazy-busy Uhaul is during the summer. I also realize that many companies are having a difficult time hiring and maintaining good staff. I can never seem to be able to talk with a local office. This is not an accident. It seems like a process system. After several rings, calls always go to the national office. Long wait times, with calls sometimes dropped. I get conflicting information from different agents at the national office. Quality of service is inconsistent in terms of knowledge and focus on helping the customer. Two days ago (July 12) I spent 90 minutes in the hot sun trying to get access to my truck rental. The local pick up was a convenience store with one employee who could not help me. Three calls to get a national office agent on the phone to help me were completely unsuccessful. I finally gave up, overheated, exhausted, and very annoyed with Uhaul national office. Uhaul lost a truck rental, and I lost half a day. H we lo buttons on elevators and hallway s are never answered. No one is ever there to assist you once around storage compartments. 4 th floor bathroom door doesn't shu completely for privacy. . Also there should be "do not block " signs on those 3 brown garage style doors towards the back of the facility. People keep blocking other customers in . Another thing, when you call your general number, why would you have a pre recorded message with a guy sounding like he's answering your live call. The message starts off with him pausing after he thanks you for calling Uhaul making you answering him back. This Orta Tate's an already frustrated customer that never can get a hold of a live person when calling you number. Hire more people. Having to juggle my life in Chicago and Ohio has been near impossible and their willingness to help me find a way to downsize and then close out the unit was so profoundly helpful. How hard is the move out? Some people suffer at that moment, people, need time to move out, money, and comprehension, and extra hands people has to deal with all that.
